Q for those of you with a Revolution: I'm going back and forth about canceling my preorder and just buying a revolution. I can get one for like $150 at this point... Thoughts?
Well I've got a thought for you, as one of the few fellows who's tried both I can assure you if you had both Cera and Revolution on hand, Revolution would be awfully lonely most of the time......
How is Cera holding up in the cleaning dept.? Have you run enough so resin could form? If so,where? Have you had to do any cleaning yet? If so,where does the resin seem to gather? Any tough spots to reach? To my eyes all the pics. I've seen show you can pretty much wipe any build up easily, but I was wondering about the mouth piece.
So you have not used the LL yet? I was curious if real a real fine grind could possibly get into the mouth piece.
You know, SD you make me smile a whole lot around here, please keep it up? It's good to not always be the craziest guy on the bus you know.....
Cera seems to be killing off testers faster than it can foul out. What little junk escapes is for the most part very easy to wipe away when warm. It was designed that way. With the exception of the thru holes in the MP that is. Just for the drill I tried pipe cleaners there and they did a great job (the side holes go straight through so the only 'blind poke' is at the cleanest part to start with. If you were to add a little ISO to the mix you'd be home free.
I did a fair bit of herb testing before the oil cart got here, it's very cool. The 'expanded UFO' built into the top is doing a great job. Not only would debris have to make four hard right angle turns (all 'uphill') but it has to squeeze through a very narrow passage cleverly built into t he rim of the MP. The vapor goes through one of the four channels yo can see in the top then it's free to circulate around just under the lip on the MP and slip up the tiny gap that runs all around between it and the inside of the cover before being collected and routed into one of the four holes. What little debris that makes it out of the bowl seems to collect in the round passage leading to the gap and is found on the outside bevel on the bowl.
I fully appreciate the blessing of so many tested, pure concentrates in the dispensary to choose from. I wish all the needy out there had the same options. Hopefully as time goes on we'll move that way.
I'm going to ignore the kind word for now, I think when you sober up you're going to be looking to take them back anyway......
Best news is the ease of use, for people to get properly medicated on a device they have never used is rare in the world of vaping oils.
Thank you to both of you, I really like first hand reports and both of you have given me what I need to order. Will this unit put an elephant down? I will let you know when I get one, I have no doubt that it will keep me going inbetween dabs, if it can take the place of dabs I will be smiling ear to ear for a long time.
OF, do you ever run your potable vaped through glass? I know from videos and from comments in your post that the Cera will run upside down and work, a gasket makes an even better connection but I can't help but wonder if an attachment hose gong wouldn't be better. Opinion? Suggestion for any of the PV gongs that would be best? Be patient and see what TET offers?
Boy you said it, it's very 'first use friendly'. Just this afternoon I took it out to a friends house for his take on it. He's the most serious oil head I know, a true connaisseur if there is such a thing. Once again, what I hoped was going to be a short test ran long.... It also involved a couple of other worthies. 3 serious experts, cool. After some successful testing 'the guys' got off on seeing how good the taste could be using one of several jaw dropping concentrates proposed. These guys are serious about their extracts. We were there for over 3 hours, used Cera without water and got into some deep discussions laced with good humor. I think the best one word appraisal thus far was given, "capable". And that to a very high standard IMO. I won't say it's going to replace fire and hot metal for them, but with all that lovely wax and oil, two WPs and a couple of troches arond not a single dab was done. Not one. Finally, when I came time to go I realized that the primary reason for bringing it out hadn't been done, so I left it there. Yes, I trusted him to clean the cart out, load it with his favorite concentrate and give it a proper test. I should get the details and the Cera back later in the week.....or else.
In that session, when the two other fellow showed up (separately) I simply handed them the warmed up Cera without any explanations past the obvious. Both times they got great hits first time, seemed visibly impressed (both looked at it in their hand with a look of wonder for a bit right after the hit, you could tell they were pleasantly surprised). So, yes it's a very easy vape to 'pick up'. Turn it on, it makes vapor. Lots and lots of vapor. Turn it off, it stops. Simple, effective.
I can't guarantee it will actually put an
adult elephant down with one hit. But it will give him wobbly knees....and the second is sure to do the job. Never vaped with a pachyderm myself, I bet with that snout they can blow some heroic smoke rings......
I've run Cera on both herb and oil carts through my little Ehle bubbler using a whip. The herb version is easy to mate up using a short piece of half inch tube over the MP end. The oil cart is even easier since the core has the fitting for mating with drip tips so the adapter TV sells did a great job there. The other day Kevin did a bang up job with his WP) even though we didn't have the right o-ring to seal it. Yes, Cera works great with water in both modes.
