The Tug 2.0 - best erig?

I will start by saying that I am not a fan of the Peak erig format that everyone seems to use. I just don't see the need for the vapor to travel through mystical and mixed material paths when it would be just as simple to design something where the vapor only traveled through glass....

So when something like the Tug 2.0 comes out I am eager to try it out. It is still not widely available in my continent.

Anyone care to share their experience with this unit? Only drawback I can see is no temperature control, just voltage control, but still, everything else is amazing from the form factor to the vapor path, nice bubbler, low price... Seems like the perfect portable erig.

I am not a massive concentrate user, however the TUG is a great little device. Plenty of temp range, built well, and the atomizer cleans up well with a qtip. I have had several/many emails and the TUG has shelved them all. Great performance in a portable package.
Yeah me neither, but this seems like the perfect balance of price and function. I will have to wait until they show up in the EU though, only place I see is recommendedvapesupplies and I am not sure if customs will allow this stuff through.

Doesn't the Tug use all the same atomizers as the Crossing Core? Same company or not? wouldn't the similar atomizers give you similar experience as the regular Core model?

I agree! If you want the BEST E-Rig, that would be the Dr. Dabber Switch 2. Fuck atomizers!

Well at least the vapor doesn't go through silicon gaskets, heated coils, and strange internals, it is straight through glass, all in the clear.

I had only seen one video of it and dismissed it since I couldn't really tell where the vapor travels through. How does it heat up then with no atomizer? This is interesting, quite expensive but interesting nonetheless, please tell me more.

Induction.

I think the Tug has amazing potential, I know crossing are focusing on the Core for themselves and have a v3 on the horizon but all the Tug needs is some love from someone looking to OEM it to blow a lot of the existing devices out of the water.

Personally I love the concept of nothing but glass in the pathway , easy access to the atomizer if it needs swapping etc, all it needs are some tweaks to give it a bit more power equal or greater to the core and run an upgraded atomizer to go from a nice budget device to an amazing option for people imo.

When is Core V3 due? Seems as if its been talked about for a while.

IMO, the original Switch is better with the auto burn-off, but the cups are a tad small.

After reading up and watching some videos, from what I can gather this is still in the same category as the Peak and most other devices, where instead of us having a clear path from vapor formation, until inhalation, the maker opts to route the vapor through the internals... It is still not clear to me what the vapor passes through. Only in Cewpin's video is it possible to see that the bubbler is separate from the dish where vapor is formed, so there must be some silicone seal in the path at the very least. Someone correct me if I am wrong. To me the advantage of the Tug 2.0 is that everything is in the open and the vapor path 100% glass. I undestand that omitting the atomizer for an induction heater is good in terms of purity but I really don't understand the insistence by designers on not making something that is clear and all glass in the parts where the vapor passes through... I understand everything else performance-wise is probably superior on the Switch 2, but still I consider them strange design decisions at the least and was glad to see at least one device steering away from that.

@Postlark you make some very valid points. The Switch 2 in fact actually has Titanium in the vape path, and IMHO this does negatively affect flavour.
