Welcome to FC Mr T. and great first post btw :) I enjoyed hearing your thoughts on the 2 devices and I can see how you came to those conclusions. auto off timers IME are also a pain in the butt. let me tell you when my session is done. thank you very much.. :p

Timer override should still work, just press and hold 30m until the light turns orange. Then you should be good for ~12 hours or so.

I've been mainly dabbing oil for the last couple weeks since I've been sick (easier on the throat) and I'm kind of surprised how fucked up the Sub got me when I moved it back into rotation. I usually split my time 50-50 between the two, dabs only during the day when I'm working and save the Sub for the evening when I want to just chill out.

Thanks sticks! It does wonders for stabilization. Also, I can turn it on and off by shifting it up or down on the buttons. Didn't think it would be a good idea but it works for me. I can also see the time left easier all at one place.

Thank you for the warm welcome everyone.

@Monsoon, I was looking for this option, it solves my problem, appreciate it.

@stickstones, great advice. Actually I took it out for the picture, however I definitely saw the need for anchorage since the heavy top of the Sublimator makes the bong tip over so easily, especially in a longer tube. I went for the pipe fastener in the picture which could be bolted into a secure position. I don't get to handle or move around the bong, I just lean over it and inhale. I think securing it this way also decreases the chance of accidental burns.

I use to have the same idea as you; to secure tipping bongs. I was hoping to make a clippable bag that straps around glass pieces, and as well be able to put multiple bean bags in it. I also had an idea where I have one of the gate openers secured around the bong like yours, but to be able to lift a side all the way up to release the bong. (One of the aluminum pole fences so that it doesn't move back and forth when you pull down the mechanism)

Been using no water with my sub lately....liking it a lot. Especially with a whip on the bong. Otherwise it feels weird without water. Been on the two hit sessions as well and nothing gives me the functional high the sub does. It messes you up of you want it to, but 2 small ass snappers put me at the perfect level.

yeah, I'm afraid I can't give specifics on what I like to call my PAS, or Proprietary Attachment System. I'm still researching different compounds and alignments. When I'm finished you can purchase it from me for around $50...or you can get in on the limited beta units for $30!
As I mentioned earlier, I really do like your PAS setup. I couldn't afford your starter kit, so I have fashioned my own new and revolutionary way of dealing the SCI (Sub Cord Issue).

Here is my SLIRP (Spring Loaded Irritation Reducing Project). I've been working on it for some time now and I'd like to show you my progress so far:

I introduced the Sub to a couple people tonight and they really enjoyed it. They actually preferred dabbing on the Sub over the E-Nail though they did like dabs from the slab.

Are you using a Sublimator bong? If you aren't, how do you connect the whip to the bong's mouthpiece?

Bought one of these today so I can finally get some watt readings on my devices:
http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B003P2UMP8/

It's a bit nicer than the Kill-A-Watt in that you can view the reading without looking at the plug. I'm kind of surprised nobody else has posted it here.

I actually did post that up when first finding out that the Sub needs a watt reader. It works great and is quite long so you can place it where you want to see it.

this one has been posted before... I'll probably get that one if my K a W dies on me

Must have missed it then, I just remember everyone talking about the Kill-A-Watt. Good to hear that it works well.

another thing that really helped my rig was using some kind of joint grease on all the joints. I am using grinder grease. But it makes it way more easier to use when dealing with hot chunks of metal. highly recommend.

stickstones,
The Sublimator seems to be a unique piece but I'm not sure It'll be a safe selection with 3 kids and the youngest being in a very curious state of mind. I want one these beast though
