I have the dial turned on about 75% i think. maybe start at 50 and go from there?

here is what I do:
I put a fine screen in the bottom of the atomizer then I put a screen that is more coarse on the top part. I just position it flat on the top bit of the atomizer. a pick or tool to position the screen helps a lot. then scoop your herbs in and enjoy! I like to have my herbs pooched after 1 or 2 draws with stirring between hits.(sometimes 3 all depends on how much you put in there.) So I'd base your heat setting on that goal. I find it works best like this.

it seems best dry too no water filtration. tasty and it's already smooth cause of the atomizer part.

Thanks for the instructions dude. I had my first sesh with the Sub last night. It is an amazing device. Clearly doing something different than what I have tried and experienced in my other vapes.. Its not as tricky to operate as it seems before you do it. lol I aimed for 2 draws as well.. maybe a .5 draw after.. medium brown abv.. The effect was EXACTLY what I was looking for..

I'm getting a local glass artist to custom design one just like what you've got but with different aspects.

The custom Sublimator Recycler should be done before Christmas. I'll give you credit Tommi don't you worry.

which one are you tommii? were you on camera there? the double is a neat idea. have the nail at a higher and sub on lower temps to optimise both. cool idea.

I have seen a bunch of his videos now and I wanna like that guy (Al) I feel he has a lot of good information, but his arrogance and how he seems to think he's all that bugs me.

this then makes me worry that I come off that way. I sure hope not.

I just introduced the Sub to 5 of my buddies who vape last night. They are all going to be buying one. They didn't even want to bother with my other vapes, or theirs.. lol.. One of them is still in my basement probably out cold..

I agree. If someone is publicly broadcasting , even if it's a bullshiting contest, wouldn't say the words shit and fuck so many times as he said it.

Been livin on the edge lately.....half my bowls are combusting as soon as they hit the ash tray.....WORKING WITH HIGH HEAT CAUTION!!!!!!! And I've been packing even less.....now putting unscaleable amounts.....I can see the screen, but yet it still milks the same. Everyone has to try this. This is the real one hitter. Same amount of herb or less then my micro UD bowl. I gotta tone down the heat a bit but try just putting a tiny tiny tiny ass pinch. This thing can take any amount.

I've found a new routine with my UFO, I just do one dose of herb about 1/3 a teaspoon plus spiked/topped with kief (until it's mostly covered in it ~3-4 micro scoops), held myself to just one bowl and discovered that's just about all I need. I'm the type to go 2-3 bowls in a row as it was more like my former combustion routine and I'm never patient enough for the creep to come on. But now I'm consciously restricting myself, and I can make the stash last longer (and my propane). Well I'll try anyway. :haw:

I absolutely :love: the cordless feature of the UFO Sub, but a friend of mine saw it over the holiday and told me he'd be afraid of burning the house down. I am VERY careful but the thought has crossed my mind...

Also someone recommended the silicone Kine bowl as a good Sub ashtray, but I recently got a "Tap Dat Ash" tray, also silicone (heat and glass friendly - they claim up to 600degreesF) but it has storage compartments that come in very handy. I can highly recommend this, I got black but I wish I got white or another lighter color so I could see the color of the ABV better. The rounded nub in the middle is great for tapping out the atomizer. Here's a pic, was only about 11 bucks on Amazon:

Ya I'm always trying to make my UFO experience more and more smooth. i usually stick to 2 bowls, or 3-4 if Im feelin' risky. I use all metal ashtrays and a bowl for the UFO. I could use a mini metal bowl for the UFO tho, i want to get my set-up perfect for travel.

Thanks for the recommendation. I hadn't really considered the UFO since I originally read the "for use with a campfire" bit. I've only read this thread up to about page 50 or so and no one had mentioned the UFO up until then, but now I see a lot of people are using them. So is the end result similar to an Apollo? Have there been any side-by-side comparisons? At $200, this is sounding much more interesting.
