Stopped at two stores and all they had were cloth oven mitts. Probably gonna go with oven MIT inside pelican case.

Hey guys, after watching enrico hit the ufo and torch his atomizer, I realized I could greatly cut down on heat up time by pre-heating the top of my atomizer with a hand torch while my apollo heats in the stand. Doing this I can get it right up to the good vaporizing temperature in 4-5 minutes instead of 10-15.

or just grab a big brush style plumber torch and heat both ufo and atom. i can get a sesh frm ufo on 5 min may be we could do less... but what the point?

Check this. My glass arrived all the way from PA. Here's the piece from another view.

@CG420 how is that with stability, I was thinking of getting a similar piece, but I was worried about the sub causing it to fall over too easily...

PS how about something like this as a reclaim catcher

http://aqualabtechnologies.com/glas...-dual-14-mm-female-to-14-mm-male-adapter.html

I love the piece. I am into the mini glass because it seems it would be the best option for the Sublimator. You want the stream to hit you fast but still get the moisture conditioning from the percs. It hits like a champ. As far as stability goes, it will tip over if you have the atomizer's handle and the apollo's handle facing the same direction. So if you were to have this on any small sized glass that doesn't have a thicker bottom (mine is 5mm thick) you might want to reconsider and get a different glass. I know I got lucky on this one though. Good thing it works and looks great as my desktop piece.

Oh an your reclaimer link, it doesn't look like it would be a good idea as you will find it will be hard to collect the sublimate and scraping glass could lead to possible wearing down of the glass. Just save up for the reclaimer from PV. It looks beautiful.

Enrico is actually the only man who have reclaim on his camera, so many videos.

Keep it up.

The Sublimator isn't a vaporizer you will hear talk of needing a super fine grind or dry herb to get a nice vapor, because it's really not that picky and will always offer a complete extraction. However recently, I've been leaving my buds out over night to dry even more and then powdering with my MFLB finishing grinder. This has allowed me to lower my temperature, but still get a killer thick hit and not need to stir. The bowl finishes and hits so evenly and so quickly it's unreal, you'd swear there was a cherry lit up inside there sometimes then it comes out a nice golden brown. I find there's a very big contrast to using non-crumbly dryness material at the lower temperatures. I'd think some other people too are probably running their subs up to the dark chocolate temperatures to try and penetrate the herb more and get that satisfying hit, when really that satisfying hit is at the lower temperatures with a more dry/fine grind and even less herb! The only downside I can think of is you do lose some of the taste if you over-dry your material. I've been moving a couple nugs from my jar to my sifter box a day or two in advance and grab them out of there first in first out.

that's funny, willeh, because I just started climbing up in temp! I was either getting too light or too dark (so I erred on the lighter side), so the other day I had a nice long afternoon with her and took my time getting it just right. I took it higher than I thought I could and, just like you said, I thought for sure I was combusting it was so thick, but it wasn't even near dark. I'm still climbing...

Could it be possible that I absorb more vapor when I sublimate through water? Because I swear my doses are twice as big, and I exhale much less. Every time!

I wouldn't know, but my theory would be that the water could turn the gas back into vapour. I think it was intended to be hit dry than in water, but it's all preference in the end. Doesn't matter if i hit straight dry tube or my bubbler.

If the water is absorbing half of the vapor that would certainly go towards explaining why I can seemingly take in twice as much vapor through it. It does seem like I feel more of an effect when I take a huge rip through water but idk if it's twice as much. I should try another one or two just to be sure...

i have been using water with my sub. It is so smooth you can barely notice you are inhaling a shit ton of vapor. I love this thing. I have tried going back to my other vapes and this one knocks them out of the park. Very happy with it.

I am who I am and your approval isn't needed!
I recently bought the base launcher tube kit with both length tubes and curious if anyone has a suggestion of safe tube removal (so I can vary the lengths) from the base ??, as it almost feels welded in, and I dont want to break the tube.

I attached the tube 'dry', if that makes any difference, and in hindsight... I suppose I should have applied a thin coat of olive oil to the o'rings (?)

UFO at it again! I'm away from home for the weekend. Sublimator on the go. This is why I bought this kit. I don't even feel like the 2 min torch warm up time is long anymore. Gettin my herbs a little darker as I get used into using the UFO. And of course all my buddies like it...who doesn't like getting high in one hit?

Found the perfect bubbler for my sub too. Don't have a picture but it's an inline bubbler. I'll get a video later maybe. It doesn't seem like a good match for the sub but it's sturdy as hell with the "cloud buddy" on top. ( mostly did this so friends don't have to touch the sub whatsoever.) anyways my sub has takin all the attention and I haven't even hit my solo yet and that's my "portable" vape. Guess the sub is my new favorite portable:smug:

I have been really wanting the UFO, too bad money has been so slow for me lately. Well, all things change eventually. Glad to see so many positive reports on it. It's def. on my wish list. So you say it's about a 2 min heat up time, is this with a plumbers torch or a standard nail torch?

You need a plumbers torch. It's a must to get those super huge sub hits everyone gets with their electric versions. I just see it as a plus that I can unscrew and torch my heater clean after many double deckers. I can throw mine at the wall and itll still be good. I feel like its gunna last years upon years....ti version may be nice tho......
