On mine I tap the power button 3 times to get the mode flashing so I can change it.Should be 4 taps to switch between temp or power (wattage).
Maybe it's different for different mods?

I could have changed to my preference without remembering. On mine I tap the power button 3 times to get the mode flashing so I can change it.
I really dk wtf I'm doing but maybe it's different for different mods?
Great video. I changed all my settings to match the ones in the video. But when I'm ready to use it and press the fire button it goes into cruise mode even though it's in power mode. And I can't figure out how to stop cruise mode. I deleted it from my clicks so it doesn't turn on when I'm firing. And with the tubo you can get out of cruise mode by just pressing the + button. That doesn't work with this.
I'm going to remove and reinstall the battery. But if that doesn't work it seems like it's not safe to use unless I get out of power mode.
When I tap the fire button once it automatically looks like it's in cruise mode for like 2 seconds but it's really not. Try pressing once and waiting a little bit and see if the cruise bar goes away. If it stays for like 5+ seconds then yeah, there's probably something funk.Great video. I changed all my settings to match the ones in the video. What wattage were you at in power mode? You try stepping it up a bit? When I tap the fire button it says cruise and that doesn't go away. But it's not real cruise mode because if I stop pushing the button it goes off. And when I do hold the button it doesn't monitor time.
I still couldn't get power mode to work. I tried holding the fire button longer when it said cruise but even though it got warm there was no vapor.
I've gone back to TC mode and I'm taking cooling breaks.
Every mod could be different. Others say around 30 so maybe that'll work better for you!I copied your settings- so power was set for 25.
I haven't tried increasing the power but way too hot in TC mode. I didn't wait to cool down before removing the splinter from the mod box and burned myself on the connector. I like the evic because I'm familiar with it but I'm going to change mods and give up on the evic. I bought but have not tried the reuleaux 2/3 yet so hope it's not too difficult.
It works very differently from the one AJS is showing - will that change if I upgrade to fj software. If not can someone send me their settings. (It looks very much like the one AJS is using so it seems like it should be similar.)
I am wondering if the evic is defective because as I've been playing around with the 2/3 there is no significant heat and the evic would be hot.
Last night my friend came over and I wanted to show him how intense the Splinter can be. And well .. it was too intense for me.
While pretending to hold the Splinter like an alien gun from planet Hexon 6, and while shooting their natives called the Hexonites, I somehow managed to launch Splinter 5 feet on a hardwood table. The batteries from my mod box launched out and I tried to unscrew the Splinter and there was a grinding sound. The wood was spinning but the thread wasn't. Eventually something caught and I got the threads to unscrew. The plate at the bottom was coming apart from
The wood. So I pushed it back in and we're back in business. We'll see how long it holds but so far so good.
Also had an accidental combustion from my friend and the Splinter screen is stained. Everything works and was good science . Damn hexonites.
No loss, only a gain in knowledge and that pesky Hexon 6 currency. Unfortunately the conversion rate is very poor. Money inflates as it crosses the galaxy oddly enough. Thanks for protecting us all, brother...sorry to hear about the loss!

Once I popped it back in it seemed secure. I think it's fine.tl;dr: You can probably fix it yourself.

It's never a bad idea I guess but I don't find the Splinter getting terribly hot and especially not on the bottom near the connection.Has anyone found heat sinks useful as far as reducing heat radiating from mod?
If so have there been any notable resistance changes?
