Old & In the Way
I'm so glad to hear this from someone I believe is at the upper end of the knowledge field with these things.Switched my Splinter V2 from Reuleaux dna250 to this new Sinuous P80 and loving it so far. Temp control is cool, but I don't know wattage just might feel better, a more effective way to get that RBT signature full bodied vapor experience!
Its so portable, ergonomic, and sleek now, a perfect fit. I might like it even better than my Z on the RXG3D... Really great value here, especially from vgoodiez of course! Need to spend more time with it, though I also have a new Milaana2... That's a bacote Ed's stem and standard Jr cooler there as well btw
Since gettiing my first RBT product a few months ago, a Splinter V1 from the pre-order, my only-ever mod has been a Sinuous P80 (blue!) and I only use it in Watt (power) mode, generally 37 to 40 watts, and it becomes a bit of a hybrid between a regulated/unregulated vape. Usually preheat for several seconds before each of the first couple of draws, then I simply release to fire button as soon as I feel some vapor happening (if not earlier!) and continue to draw some more. My habit is to rotate the stem about a third of a turn after each draw, without stopping to look or stir, and this seems to even out the look of the spent material.
Recently the Splinter came apart, the Heater assembly became dislodged from the wooden body. I don't know why this happened, but I suspect a minor fall and possibly (?) over-tightening onto the mod. It looked like maybe they could have used a little more adhesive during assembly. At any rate, Scott at Vgoodiez has handled my dilemma and is sending me a new Splinter V1+, same Bubinga body as V1, but now the elimination of the mica, like the V2.
A big thanks to Scott for helping me out. In a couple of days I'll be able to try the xl8r set I picked up while waiting.
