@modmyvape, as I haven't updated my stock software yet, I can't help you with anything concerning firmware or its installation, but read the 1st post here, it might be helpful. Best I can do.

If & when you have any success, do post back to let us know how the hell you did it!

I also posted this link on reddit where you replied to that firmware installation thread. ;)

hi just got a Wismec 300W Gen3 but cant get the FunkyJunk firmware on it , thought i could get MyEvic on there (which was successful) and then put FJ on it but no joy . Just says "Check Hardware" when i try to load it from the Wismec updater . Can use TCR as is which is ok but really wanted the Cruise function . Anyone else got this mod ? I know the RX 2/3 works so just assumed this would too . Any workarounds or advice much appreciated ...

Just to be clear: cruise mode is for TC operation only.

Using cruise mode in VW mode will void your warranty.

Thanks to everyone for the information provided here. Much appreciated.

It took a few days, but I have finally read most of the information here about the Splinter. Thank you @Hippie and @Summer for clearing up my confusion with the Splinter fitting and the current options for WPAs.

Ended up purchasing a 2-hole Birdseye Maple Splinter direct from RBT with the FBF discount.

I have several mods to pair the Splinter with, as I have a small collection for my cannabis concentrate usage. I plan on using the Splinter with my DNA75c and will be trying out the settings by @HerbieVonVapster that are posted here: https://forum.evolvapor.com/files/file/567-fcshare/ . Thank you for putting this together. I also have a VooPoo Alpha-1 222W that I will try out as well.

I would have preferred to purchase an official RBT glass adapter. But instead, I plan on using it through my little glass rig, HVT glass adapter, and modified Camelbak bite valve, like I have been using my AVS Molecule.

I have been a cannabis user for over 19 years, using strictly concentrates for the past 5 years. The Splinter is my FIRST cannabis vaporizer. I picked the Splinter over the TuboX.

How are other users connecting their Splinters to their glassware?

What is the width of the RBT Splinter glass mouthpiece?

I suppose it's inevitable, but it's also sad to see, the Splinter forums devolve into mod hacking.

So what settings do you use on your mod? I would like to use TC for consistency, but it seems like a crapshoot, given that no real TCR/heating element material information is available. Has anybody calibrated their heater using an IR thermometer?

IR thermometers don't work well on shiny metallic surfaces. A cheap BBQ thermometer with contact probe would work better. Or a thermocouple of course.

I have a Thermapen that I could try, but I'm pretty sure the probe portion is too large.
