The risks/odds of being caught ordering oil/concentrates internationally

Thanks, I got lucky.

They say the maximum sentence in uk for dealing weed is 14 years but no body ever does that.
Is it the same in thialand, in the way that death may be a penalty, but no body ever gets that sentence. I can't believe a government would kill a citizen over a drugs charge. That's insane, I can't get my head round that. I'm not doubting that what you say is the truth. Just seems crazy to me. I wonder if it works? Is there a very low drug use rate in Thialand?

Would you really get in any trouble for 1 vile of oil in thialand, with no previous convictions.? Seems very harsh if so.
Considering some drug offenses carry the death penalty!

I did some googling and found a thread about someone who got caught with a single joint in 2009 :

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/249080-caught-with-cannabis-in-thailand/page-7

They had to pay 60,000 baht to a solicitor and then pay a court fine of 2,500 baht + 1 year probation.

At current exchange rate that's $1,738.88 USD per spliff - OUCH!

And that was in 2009, I'm sure it's a lot worse now-a-days

Edit: @kellya86 Respect and well done! I had a friend who couldn't give it up no matter how much they tried and eventually attached a hose pipe to their car exhaust because they would rather be dead than a smack head! :rip:

Jesus christ. I moan alot about the uk, but mabe it's not so bad here after all.

I was always under the impression that weed was cheap and readily available over there. Surely there is loads of block thia weed about.

Thai weed everywhere, along with Yaba, Khat, Ecstasy, Heroin, you want it, you can get it... Just don't get caught!

You generally find that the laws regarding drugs in the country the drugs come from is more severe than the countries importing and using the drugs. - IMO it's politics, nothing to do with morality or justice.

Just look at Bolivia - The home of the Bolivian Marching Powered - most severe drugs laws in the whole region!

There is an attempt going on to radically alter the current situation in Latin America, but so far not much has changed.

My personal opinion is all drugs should be legal and quality controlled, full education and honest genuine facts are given out regarding the pros and cons of use.

Then not let any drug use be an excuse for committing any other crime, not even alcohol addiction.

I'm fed up of criminals and drug users being put in the same basket... and then drug users using their addiction as an excuse for committing real crimes.

Take as much smack as you want as long as you paid for it with legitimate money. If you mug an old lady to obtain money to go score, then throw the book at them as a mugger, the fact they take drugs is irrelevant - taking drugs is not a crime, mugging old ladies is!

The law is an ass which ever country you are in :bang:

Yes must addmit I have been to Thailand and I have part taken in a lot of fun there. In the right tourist place you can pay extra for a bit of stuff, but bringing it in! That's the problem. Not simple possession once you have used the post and internstional boarders.
