It looks really sharp! The 100% SS material and finish look great. I just have a hard time justifying a new grinder when my Space Case and S&B units do the job so well. The Kannastor Vapor is kinda cool tho.

Almost there...
There is one thing I do not like about the ripper grinder from the photos. My main grinder is the two piece NewVape Fine Grind which always produces a perfectly smooth grind for vaping (no chunks). What I do not like about the ripper are the large holes where the herb falls through. The problem is that little nug chunks make it through the holes before being completely ground. So you end up with a nice grind with some chunks. All my three piece grinders have a version of this issue. This is why I prefer a two piece grinder over 3 and 4 piece grinders any day of the week.

I agree!!
Why i love my Kannastor Vape GR8TR!! Small holes means zero chunks!

Check the IG thread i linked above and watch the 5th post a video with the blue lighter.
This is the ONLY grind video showing the grind, by a user...

Received mine a day early! Thanks @HerbRipper for the priority shipping. The box it came in was a little flimsy but it was bubble wrapped and shipped in a much bigger box.

The ball bearing is pretty neat! I like just spinning it around in the chamber. It's a lot smaller then I pictured it to be! Tall but slender and boy does it have weight to it! Compared to my SCS it feels much more premium. Also I must say I really like the laser etched design on the top! I really love the way it feels and the ability to clean due to the ss construction. seems really sharp and I can't wait to get it cleaned and test it out later tonight!! Knurls are awesome as well!

waiting on consistency but so far it's gorgeous

I have had my eye on the Ripper, and been seriously tempted. I might still buy...

For now, to scratch my Stainless Steel grinder itch, I recently bought a newer revision (with magnet) "Lincig" brand grinder with rotary stainless blades, similar to the Canadian "Lift" grinder. I was originally going to buy the "Lift" (because generally, I do not care for copy or knockoff products!) but I could not get one with the fine coarseness grinding plate, the only option for buying the fine grinding plate is a huge-ass full grinder "package deal" with tons of stuff I don't need, for $130. No thanks. They have the 3-piece grinder I want, but with medium-coarseness grind plate only - $85. Not too smart, Lift... you lost business by not offering your customer what he wants.

The "Lincig" upgraded model with magnet is $70 by comparison, and comes with all 3 coarsenesses of plates. The grinder itself is perfect... everything I wanted... plus...

No teeth cleaning! The Lincig (and, I suspect the "Lift" too...) scissors up the herb into PERFECT fine fluffy grind, about the consistency of coarse ground wheat flower.... ALL WHILE KEEPING THE GRINDER INTERNALS CLEAN!!! No cleanup, no scraping or getting herb off little diamond shaped teeth... this grinder runs CLEAN and stays that way.

For that reason alone, it has replaced almost every other grinder I use. :)

Need ideas and input on this here herb ripper. It's a solid stainless steel grinder made by this dude Kevin in Cincinnati. He needs input from us in helping him build the perfect grinder.

I've been emailing back and forth with ideas to make this grinder a great one

smaller holes from grinding chamber to the catch.

more refined flat surfaces/clean up

threads!! They do the trick however it needs improvement.

( Had a ball bearing in the keif catch to help speed along the process) pretty awesome idea.

Someone over on VLF mentioned powder coating the outside various colors??

Ideas? Feedback? Thanks! Peace and love!

Edit: I don't work for this company just trying to make a good product great and we have the opportunity to have an American made stainless steel grinder with our input

Nice looking grinder . Kinda laughed to myself at the “ buy in 4 easy payments “ option :D. Would like to hear some reviews.

It's actually a pretty good grinder overall, the grind itself is medium/fine and you can control it with a bit of upside down action ;) The fine grind ring on the gr8tr is like pollen small, so if you like that the ripper is too big for you.

The SS makes the deal for me, everything works pretty well overall (except the ball which I don't use). I thought I would like the 1/4 turn more than I do, but I have big hands and it's too easy for me to open.

Interesting. The quarter turn is the main reason I've been considering this grinder. Can you share some more details? Do you mean that it opens while you are grinding?

It sometimes comes open, but more often just comes a bit loose in my hands. If you grind to the right it's obviously not a problem, but I tend to go back and forth and with hard nugs it applies enough force to cause it to loosten. I can't tell if it's because it's the 2" diameter vs the 2.4" ones I use, since it doesn't seem to happen with those, but none of them are 1/4 turn either so I can't say that I might just not have the paws for the tech.

Thanks for the information. I also rock my grinder back and forth when starting. Seems as if I would have a similar experience with it.

Believe I will hold off on this one and see if a larger version becomes available or if another company tries their hand at a quarter or half turn model.

Thanks again!

Just picked up one of these and Im really impressed. Ive looked for a solid stainless steel grinder for years. Until pretty recently I never found much of anything. I haven't tried the screen yet, but it works really well as a 3 piece and a 2 piece. The grind kind of reminds me of a santa cruz shredder, which I like. I haven't had any issues with the 1/4 turn coming loose, but I haven't tried it as a 4 piece yet and Im right handed. So far it gets a big thumbs up.

I'm considering the 'Ripper' or the 'Lift'
Don't want Aluminum!
Like to buy Canadian, but of course it's way more expensive.
Any further considerations from people who own one of these?

I'm considering the Ripper too but I saw Bud's comments on vapelife about it gunking up with moist herb and not being able to put as much in it as other grinders.

I personally would like to avoid aluminum and coatings and I'm wondering if the Iaso has the same issues and if that's just the nature of using uncoated stainless steel?

What do you all think?

Your Herb shouldn't be that moist.

From what I can tell the lift grinder is basically an aluminum grinder with stainless steel blades-the body of the grinder is aluminum. The ripper is entirely stainless, no coatings etc.

I haven't had any issues with it gunking up. Its seems to need cleaning a little more frequently than a space case/santa cruz-but I haven't had anything happen like in Bud's pic. Then again Ive only tried to grind dry herb..

As far as the size/capacity goes its about the same size as a medium santa cruz shredder 3 piece-roughly 2 inches. Good size, personally I wouldn't want smaller. I still haven't used the ripper as a 4 piece, so I can't comment on kief etc.

The current iaso grinder looks very cool, but it is def smaller. The larger size they have for preorder is $170.
