I was going to wait a few days before i posted my thoughts on the Milaana.
Lots of mixed reviews on the web and it seems as if a lot go on sale shortly after being bought.
Either way i was on the hunt for a portable unit for back yard use and this looked perfect!

I am the second owner of this vape so far.
The body is fairly smooth but could be improved for a more silky feel.
Burn marks from sanding have to be sanded out...
The join on the bottom is visible and the glue sticks out a bit, one of the things about gorilla glue.
Glass joint is firm inside body.
I have two washers on the bottom and one on top.
Button is flush to the wood body.

I tested it as i unpacked it! Battery was pretty drained but still got a good few super tasty hits!
I only have a Haze charger, so that is what i am using and it seems to charge the battery quite quickly.
Wit a fresh battery there is a very fine line between awesome taste and very dark, almost burnt tasting material.
It's a bit like riding your first MX dirt bike. Too much gas and you are on your ass! LOL!
I have been twisting the stem during inhales and find it works quite well for me.
If i do get a hot spot, it is directly in the center of the bowl. A quick stir and light tamp and you are ready to go! The flavor can last a very long time with careful throttle control.
Only a few small bowls in and the effects are really coming on nicely!

I am hoping we can get a long and play nicely together but that battery thing may just start to annoy me...
Any vape i have owned with replaceable batteries has not lasted very long with me...
This one may be different because it kicks some serious butt!
Rotating stem technique is essential IMO for this vape, regarding screen placement or battery level. When low battery is less of a rotating but a stirring/dumping IMO.
I totally agree.

I only rotate the Milaana itself when I'm doing water. If I'm just going through the stem, I don't have the temp high enough to cause uneven browning for the most part. I just chill and puff!

Almost there...
Wake and Vape this morning with the Milaana!
Decided to try some concentrate for a boost!
Used an 18/18 M2M with a Herbalizer oil pad pressed into the opening. A slight heat with a torch and drop the oil on top.
Invert Milaana and heat for about 8 seconds while drawing.
Beautiful thick, delicious concentrate vapor! No problem filling my large RooR WT!
So easy, so fast!

Still on the fence about the battery though...
Maybe more will help with that so there is always one charged and ready to go!
Only two concentrate hits and the battery is done.

Maybe you battery is malfunctioning?
I get WAY more hits than that with mine.
Do you have another to try? couldn't tell for sure from your post.

Don't forget the more you drain the battery the more pre heat is needed. Not sure this is helpful. But if you start drawing before it can come up to the heat your needing then you might think the battery is dead when she still has power left in her.

But I like it!
Maybe the Zion preorders can swing a '2 Milaanas stuck together' kinda deal. In my head a couple of wee magnets could connect both buttons together, which would make for some awesome 2 battery Milaana extractions... like sucking on a double-barreled shotgun... Or is that another highdea?

Mi one is only half working, I did a stem with an unglued 18mm female. Somehow it blasted me, great hits on little product. I had to hold it in place, and there was no ability to rock to remove stem, very impractical.

Not sure I can repeat above, and mi two still way hotter. I'm torn between fixing it or using for spare parts.

BTW: my technique is rock solid. Timing so much better, never combust, every hit perfect. Thanks all. Can't wait when all is perfected quality build wise.

So excited to get my Milaana on Monday, I loved my old Da Buddha convection vape, and if this performs anywhere as well, I will be a happy camper. How's the flavor compared to the ceramic element found on SSV and DBV?

I think the taste on 7th floor vapes with ceramic is some of the best flavor u can get..but milaana is very nice with proper technique..its all about the user with this one..also with the 7th floor as well but that ceramic tastes really good..i think its better than my evo also..wrong thread i know..sorry

Yeah I'd agree very close depending on technique due to the heavily manual nature, if not practically the same, been a while since I've had my LSV though so can't compare directly... but pretty comparable to my glass core HI and Daisy, two other strong taste maker vapes in my experience, which I now consider Milaana (and especially Zion) to be too

I think possibly the 7th floor products release a more resinous first hit because the heater is already really hot instead of having to climb, but there's nothing negative at all about the Milaana flavor. Barely fades through the end of the bowl with right technique, and the flavor is always awesome. There's just a unique resinous flavor that some vapes get when they're in contact with more heat for longer. This is the signature flavor with the Arizer Air heat soak, which I have yet to achieve with any vape. The vapman gets close.

Another question for the Milaana users out there. Grind. How successful is the Milaana at vaping broken up nug pieces. I enjoy the act of breaking apart the buds by hand. I currently use a ceramic convection vape and I just stuff the chamber with nugs. Once one side is toast I'll just flip the nugs to the lighter side to get the last bit of resin to vaporize. I've had pretty good results both grinding and stuffing, and also not grinding and stuffing. It seems to stay a little cleaner without grinding because you don't get a bunch of particles tasting all dusty. I would imagine the Milaana can vape those little nugs no problem, what is your preferred method?

Finally got some really nice fresh Cali meds and tried handbroken nug and it is very nice. It works with anything really though

Cali meds are all my guy carries. I can't believe what crap we used to smoke. This bud is so awesome, I can do less than a gram a day through my MiMi. I fill up one of those tiny dube tubes and it lasts all day!

BTW, ordered MiMiMi on PV over the weekend. I have to call with CC # this am. I unloaded some stuff to finance this endeavor. I've become a one vape guy, who knew I could be monvapomous. I am also going to work on "customizing" Mi 1, maybe recess the glass joint myself. Trying to figure out a retention system that's not glue.

@nickzzzx
this vape has some power, but I like dry my bud (light bulb), and put it through a medtainer (shred) for a medium grind. But in all honesty, fine, nug, medium, it will still work.

Sold a great vape today, invested that in MiMiMi (Mi one is spare parts). Planetvape is awesome, and I'll be testing out there brand new custom Milaana stem.

Once you embrace all that's right with Milaana, I don't care if it breaks, it's only $200, I'll have 2, and I can do minor repairs myself. Other Vapes that can perform like this (or at least close), are either electric or $400 plus.

Gonna be a good week.

Just found out my order has been held up because the charger I ordered from their site is on back order. Of course no one bothered to tell me or give me options (until today when I inquired AGAIN). I could have ordered a charger elsewhere......

Shoulda got a six pack instead...

If I had those kinds of disposable ends, I'd probably be in the same boat.

Not to make light of a frustrating situation...

But can you imagine if this was the 17 or 1800's and you had to telegram the postal service only to find out your package was intercepted by bandits??? :whoa:

...sorry too many dabs this morning :freak:

What stem do you mean exactly? The long/short stems listed on the RBT page or something else?

Man o man. I had a bit of a situation this morning. I found a stem that I hadn't used in some time(found out why) and went to a buddy's house after work this morning. We were giving the mi a work out and my buddy was pulling HUGE vapor clouds. We both hit that stem twice each and I showed him the load. Still green with a couple hot spots and I gave it a bit of a stir. I took a giant hit and then my buddy did the same and WAMMO!!POW!!!ZIP!!!! smoke. That's right not vapor but smoke. He said "man I seen a big cherry ignite and the taste got real bad" I wanted to say no shit Sherlock but I played it off. Really it was no big deal.
My one big fuck up was when we put the mi down I didn't remove that fucking gnarly smokey stem. Then like 10 min later I was like oh fuck that made the mi smell like shit for a little while. I let it set all day and the smell was gone when I woke up. Ran a stem through her and she's good. All good.

Moral of my story: don't give your friend a Mi loaded with a stem that's not 100% free flowing. Bad things will eventually happen. Not at first mind you but when the load is getting cooked and dried out. That's when it's most likely to happen.

It's all good. That stem is going to need a deep soak but other then that there was no harm. Say what you want about stem load vaporizers but that's a positive that not all types of vaporizers can boast about. The body of the vaporizer never gets a funky burned smell/taste(at least when you remove the stem).
