other than Bravest and maybe a couple others, has there been a lot of people's vaporizers coming apart? I remember a majority of complaints towards RBT being about the customer service, not the durability/longevity of the vape. maybe I'm wrong...

Don't think your wrong, the pre order units did not have the heater fully recessed and glued in, this lead to a few members heater coming out. One fixed theirs and left an awesome guide on here. Others were waiting for warranty. I haven't heard of any other issues with the Millaanas quality.

Why not just go through planet vape? The price of the 6 pack divided by 6 is like 169 that's about what planetvape is charging. When looking at planetvape remember prices are in Canadian dollars.

Yes, there has. The female fitting came out of mine, and the bottom popped off the other day. @WakeAndVape bottom fell off as well. @Zangano Cruel also had some issue, don't recall which however. Im sure there are others, and there will be more. The issues not fixed.
The customer service varies wildly. I was the first warranty issue, towards the end he recovered and provided good service but since (both my female joint and bottom popping off) its been very touch and go. I ended up repairing mine myself, a 2 part 5 minute epoxy is what was suggested by Ryan for the repair. He's probably swamped honestly, hopefully he pulls through and gets things ironed out. It'll be tough making money with folks sending their units in to be reglued/assembled. So hopefully a more permanent solution is on the horizon.
The recess was added to help minimize breakage, it has nothing to do with the glue. The issue is smooth glass doesn't take adhesives well.
I've been in contact with Ryan. If there was/is a fix he didn't enlighten me when I was quizzing him on repairs as recently as last week. His solution was more epoxy, I took it upon myself to score the outsides of my F fitting so it would adhere this time however.

thank you for clearing up what i did not know man, appreciate it. one question? can you see the white epoxy on the sides of the inside of your heater? like on the inside of the female joint behind the glass in between the wood i can see the white epoxy holding my heater in there not only from the bottom but from the sides, i wasnt sure if everyones units like the first batch to the production had this or if it was added.

The first time my F fitting was installed using white epoxy, I've got unit #23. I had to send it in due to the soft short or heater moving around and it was returned with a clear epoxy this time. It failed after about a week so I reinstalled it per Ryan's instruction and used another clear 2 part epoxy, however this time I took a file to the female fitting to score it a bit.
The bottom popped off a week or so later. I used a dab of wood glue for it, cure time was considerably longer but I'm confident it'll hold.

Congrats on those stems. They look very good.So I squeezed in just enough time to get a cell phone camera photo shoot of my new glass stems that I received yesterday. I really gotta give it up to FC resident @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd for putting together some really nice and functional artwork to go along with my Mi. It's probably too soon to elaborate much and even though pictures will never do the piece justice I will not say much on the looks because it is exactly what I wanted. I told Joda the colors and concepts and he put it together perfectly!
Some notes on fit and function- The fit is nice and tight, tighter than my RBT supplied stems, however these stems are not ground joints as you will see. This means the glass can be spun easily if your into spinning, however two of these are angled pieces that I won't be spinning really. It also means the glass would never hold itself in if the Mi were ever upside down, not that RBT supplied stems would either. The nice thing about the clear joint is you can see the color of the herb on the sides now. You should also notice the joints are slightly shorter. JoDa cut them to about 20mm instead of 22mm which means I could probably fit a ELB screen if I had one. I am not sure why but I feel it is easier to control hot spots with these stems so far, however they can be messy if you load loose like I do and forget to remove the stem with the Mi upside down. They don't seem to hold an untamped load quite as well as the RBT stems however this can be a pro and a con. The pro is this gives you the ability to let the load fall into the Mi and suck it back up to eliminate stirring. The con is if you forget and don't remove your stem with the Mi upside down then you will spill. I load pretty loose in the RBT stems so I got used to this method anyway. One last note on fit compared to the RBT stems. The RBT stems have a bit of a shoulder where the joint and connects to the stem allowing the use of a pic as a glass stem lock. The JoDa stems have a smooth joint to stem connection meaning no stem lock. Before I started using the pic as a stem lock I was using my pinky to push the button, middle and ring finger to hold Mi, and my index finger to hold the stem from sliding out. I still hold the Mi this way and on the dripping glass stems the dripping colored glass comes down far enough for me to lock my finger on.
Funtion is dead on, maybe better as I mentioned about the hotspot. More testing is needed, I am sure science will prevail

Believe it or not these were not expensive. @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd provides great service and extremely fair pricing IMHO. I would have been charged 3-4 times as much for these pieces at a Local Head Shop. JoDaGlassworks charges you for the time he puts into it, I feel like the talent was free of charge because really the pricing was extremely fair.
Really liking the old debit/credit card pick cut plus mod.
Double safety is the key for battery and stem, right?? Well done.

Fucking incredible man, guessing he used cutdown ISO joints like he did for me, very tricky for screens but I love the non frosting and his craftsmanship, professionalism, service are all top notch.
The bowl recession did have to do with getting the glue to hold it more secure actually. There have also been a number of other small QC improvements for assembly so I do believe the latest units may not suffer from the issues you describe at all. At least he told me as much about the constant rolling upgrades, I think it is mostly honing in, and that most have not suffered warranty issues with their Milaana

Hammer for me is 30 second pre heat for convection mode. Conduction can performe amazingly well, but different ball game I guess.

So my last post was perhaps a little too fan boy in the calm light of evening fluorescent glow. Even more embarassing since I've gathered sundry likes. Every one loves a trainwreck...The heater is evolutionary, not revolutionary. If I gave the impression that draw speed was no longer a factor, then I apologize...Might have even believed it myself. 
And the fiddly little baskets do demand a certain grind...grrrr. And no the taste isn't as good as the FireFlys. It can be a mite harsh if you're not using water and a little hard to keep from charring if you are using water. So I guess I need me some of those Chinese glass colored stems and maybe some Jhooks? Wonder if that basket press fits 18s? Arizers are OK too so far. Who is going to break out the woodburning stencils first? Come on, I know you're out there...

The glass on my Zion came out as well. Ryan said they had switched to a gel contact cement, although that was a few weeks ago. Milaana arrived right about the same time, and I'm still in honeymoon with Millie, so haven't reglued the glass back in. But @nondarb idea about etching the outside is the right idea. It needs something to bite on to.

Honeymoon is over. Divorce was mentioned. Sure I knew she had a hot temper but this b#tch was smoking! Apparently I don't have the necessary skill set to use this with water...sigh. Combustion is always imminent and finally it did. Just happy the smoke alarm didn't go off. Happy is perhaps an understatement since I live in a nosmoking building ("But vaping is OK, right? Right?"

Combusting with a bong is easier than dry because you loose the taste and temp feed back, but it's not hard to work on. I'd need a bigggg starting line up to leave the Mi off. While I wouldn't say it's perfect, it certainly does make huge tastey clouds very quickly, which is very impressive for a battery portable. Makes me think I need something with similar cloud output but that suits my use better.... Anyone with a daisy and a Mi able to compare them on cloud size?
If the glass is recessed, then a screw or screws can be carefully placed such that the head of the screw overlaps the glass thereby holding it in. Done deal, no muss no fuss, easy fix. Moving on, if combustion is occurring, there is ZERO question, you are doing it wrong! If you try feathering the button you will be rewarded with copious clouds of VAPOR. Next, as far as draw resistance, 4 recommendations, don't pack too tightly, don't load too much, don't grind too fine, and keep your screen clean.

A quick stemful and "Only you can prevent forest fires" has gone. Sh#t happens. I should pay better attention. I might have lost the count during combustion.... That damn awareness nonsense again. It should be like exercise: do enough and after awhile you don't have to anymore.

@Tommy10 Daisy kicks ass over Milaana for cloud production here. It's my #1. I'm at that point that I have my Daisy really dialed in, like I don't have to think about all the variables when hitting it (torch position, length, whistle, draw speed, etc).
Milaana- I'm working at it. Different variables involved and I've learned to respect it's power. I really hate brown spots but there so easy to get. I guess that's what unregulated means.

Combustion is always tough to keep away from 100% of the time with the Mi through water. Due to the heat I prefer it through water so It happens to all of us occasionally. BUT it can be minimized by learning the second count to hold the heater with your current battery charge. This is tough since it changes throughout the battery, I just keep using pretty fresh batteries in general. I have been using it with a little PWTA through a whip and I have 0 real feedback when using this method, I have to watch the clear part of the stem or m2m for feedback and just count the seconds of preheat. I have gotten pretty good and have only combusted once out of my last 15 bowls, not bad lol.
Daisy cloud production is insane. I don't have my Milaana tech down well enough to match that kind of cloud power. You should check out an @StickyBricks when available! Although with enough practice and feathering it might be possible, Daisy rules the clouds. My girlfriend said that "The Daisy almost killed me!" last time she hit it. She was drooling, I was laughing my ass off.

If it happens consistently you can change many things as have been discussed at great length, easiest being screen location and fill.
Daisy comparison? I like the looks of Daisy but it's a different style of vape altogether. Milaana fits in my shirt pocket (with the glass stem in and loaded), and I can pull it out of my pocket any old time, push a button, and a few seconds later start blowing vape. Or wait a couple more seconds and cough and blow smoke. It's great for fishing, ATVing, hiking, and a few extra batteries means you are good for days. You might want to compare the desktop-y Daisy against the desktop-y Zion, which again just takes a push of a button to get great clouds.
Re combusting on water - try to learn the pattern you use when vaping, and replicate that. 5 second heatup, 3 seconds on for draw, then 1 and 2 second pulses while drawing. I stop pulsing a couple of seconds before finishing draw to get some of the last heat out of Millie.
I just pulled the shorty stem out and it's too hot to touch, so decided to type. It's refilled, so back to reading and watching more.
