I would generally agree here about the heat, if it were a properly working cell. If the battery had the amp capacity it should have, something would have had to heat up real quick for that kind of voltage loss (hot battery, hot contacts, wires burning themselves out, etc.) If any of these happened it probably would have been pretty obvious due to their proximity to the wooden body. If the battery took the brunt of heat in this scenario it would most likely have vented.I think in order for a battery to drain that fast somthing had to be getting hot as hell. There had to be somewhere for that much energy to go. I've just been thinking about it ever since I read about it. Sorry about the troubles @Vape Dr. One things for sure its not working up to par. Not from what I've witnessed.
If the battery has an extremely diminished capacity (DOA cell, it happens), then it will basically just drop below usable voltage extremely fast. Since it won't have the amperage capacity there really won't be any extreme heat generated where it shouldn't. Obviously I think it's this scenario we are experiencing. My
