This morning I was all sorts of frustrated. Tried 4 different batteries... no vapor. WTF right? It helps if you put more flowers in the chamber! DOH

My RBT SBU 18650 will now be named "Killer." I know I have always kept with a name referencing a female Grateful Dead song but this thing is a beast. He not only steals your face but puts you in outer space!

I love the sound of this. The fact you have to be mindful of what your doing because of the power always gets my full undevided attention. I wasn't sure how quick that heat up time is. Sounds like he got her fine tuned. RBT is starting to show his "signature" and boy is she a potent one.

Just spreading the love from the USB thread @Copacetic encouraged me to jump on the list (to be fair not much arm twisting was required). My VAS has definitely receded knowing im not gonna miss out on some RBT tech I was getting really jumpy!

Quick update from RBT.

I emailed RBT this today:

I am very interested in the single. I hope you can answer a few questions.
How many mAh is the battery?
I vape at low temps between 340-380ish I draw about average, how many chambers per battery?
How much is shipping and when will it be shipping out?

Hey Vape Dr, thanks for the inquiry. I need to update the info on the web page. The single starts out around 440 F and drops to around 380 when the battery drains from 4.2 to 3.5 volts. The temperature control is determined by how long you hold the button. Vaping low temp just means letting off the button early. Nearly no chance of combustion if you are mindful. I only used the single for a few days and gave it to a beta tester so I can stay focused on Zion delivery so I can only guess I was getting 5 or 6 .3 g loads from a battery charge so the battery life is good. This is because since it is rapid heat-up most of the heat goes in the flow instead of the device .

The description and the pictures need to be updated to show the updated body style which should be done over the weekend. The unit will include a single battery, extra mouthpiece, three screens and a stir stick. The charger is sold separate so that customers with an 18650 charger don't need to spend the extra $

Feel free to post this info on FC and I will update the info on the www once I get a few more critical tasks completed. The single is easier than the Zion to manufacturer so before too long the single battery shipments will outpace the Zion. I really can't say when as it is dependent on how suppliers and manufacturing of the Zion goes as but the single uses the same parts so it will come quickly on the heals of the Zion.

@Shit Snacks, I have a single 18350 10mm unit (one of a kind). Yes indeed the button makes it much nicer. This 18650 single is leaps and bounds better in every aspect.

I only chatted w/ RBT briefly about the stem I did not want to distract him TOO much. No stem lock on this and I do not think it is really needed. IMHO. Once those engineers start tinkering they are hard to get back on track. Glad to see he is right back to shipping Zions lol.

Ah I thought you had gotten that blue 14mm one, the first single 18650 ever built? Is that the one @pakalolo got? Also doesn't @HD Springer have a 10mm 18350 as well?

The following guide is offered by someone who has successfully posted pic's on exactly ONE occasion, and who can't now find the instructions on this forum to post a link here .
So apologies if it's all wrong!

If you want to post them as pic's:
When composing your post open a new tab and locate your pic' (this only works for pic's on the web I think) right click it and choose 'copy image location' or 'copy image URL' and return to your post.
Right next to the smiley button there's one that says 'image', click on that, then paste the image location or URL into the box and click 'insert'.

If this is wrong or incomplete I'm sure someone will be able to post a link to the correct info.

It's a fact now. That's exactly how Tod was named. I'm not sure who coined the name but when they fit they fit. To ME it will be referred to as Ion. Zion's baby brother. Did I go to far there.

This made me laugh out loud. What about "the Grokit"? I don't think that's taken yet.

Don't forget there is also a bubbler with the ion name. If there are already two items with the name among vaporists I don't think it makes sense trying to brand a third.

I'm thinking that I think I think of zion/ion/lion as the official nicknames (unofficially).

it will be powerful, and bad ass but the experience will change as the battery drains. It will take some on the fly adjustments, no doubt. But one would assume it would be easier to master than a duel battery that doesn't have a true trigger. The added button will surely make it an easier to tame vape than the duel proto.
