I just ordered from the web store a few days back so I assume I'm one of the 50 with a Nov/Dec estimation. Just want to know if I am a Nov/Dec run or not?

You're in the 50, so you'd get one sooner be it rough beta or more polsihed production, but unlikely you'll see it in November probably. Maaaaaaaybe December but we'll have to see how everything else goes. I think there's a pin in these for now understandably

So many concerts coming up. Jackson Browne tomorrow night, Drive-By Truckers Tuesday night, and I hope to make Two Cow Garage for my birthday weekend in November. Patterson Hood in December and surely another one or two in-between. Cannot wait for the concert vape to get its shot in the starting lineup.

I am totally confused. What are you referring to when you talk about "the fifty"? Also I paid $89 for the 18650.
I'm more excited about the zion though. I haven't received mine yet although my receipt says I ordered a beta. I'm ok waiting for it and getting a more finished vape

This is my take on the current situation . . .
@little maggie - I believe RBT is only making an initial production run of 50 of these units to begin with. Community user feedback may then be used to further develop and refine the device with the potential to put the unit into full production.
@Tommy10, in answer to your question - I believe that all 18mm Unregulated Single 18650 devices already purchased, along with those currently available in the webstore are still of the first 50, which is essentially a first production run that will be part of a test phase. Sounds like beta to me.

I think I am the only one willing to put in use videos of Zion tech out in the public eye of the beta group. Expecially of it being used with certain herbs.

I figured a few would be in legal states. Rbts video gave me a good idea of what to expect. It's taking me a while to get through all these pages. A lot could be explained in a couple minute video too. I'm new to the party.

Since this unit has been changed from 14mm to 18mm (pics above is 14) there has not been a new video made, also the heater has been tuned hotter than it was for the first video anyway (hence greater airflow now with 18mm). So actually, the best video representation of this technology right now is still @IAmKrazy2's Dual Battery useage video, that is closer to what you can expect from this little guy last time I spoke with RBT...
Also yes just assume you're part of the 50, there haven't been an insane amount of orders here or even with Zion, its a new vape pre order remember. I would expect any to ship before December, and potentially could be in to 2016. We'll see how things pick up with Zion production, eventually we'll learn more as its added to the website. These units were always a greater exercise in patience than Zion, the pre orders allowed the anxious to ensure their place to get one asap

I fully believe it is fully safe to assume here though, we would be notified if pre orders were more than 50, I am fairly confident it is well below that number still.
How about remain optimistic, vs assume presume?

The FW has a thread in the Portables forum. This is a fairly obscure thread in Upcoming and Unreleased. I think that has something to do with it. Also, isn't the FW3 finished? This is a pre-order for a design that isn't even complete. That right there will slow sales down some.

The Firewood also has a much longer history behind it filled with videos, reviews and satisfied users. This was a newer version of an already successful vaporizer and it seems the limited batch was particularly small. The next batch may not go as quick, however I hope it does for Firewood's sake.
@Shit Snacks - I really think your a great guy and all so don't take this personal, but as I have mentioned in another thread, I really think you and anyone else whom thinks they are closer to RBT than the average customer should stop speculating, assuming or providing optimal predictions for RBT. It is better to let a question go unanswered than to provide the wrong answer. I know it is not my job to tell you this, but I am telling you as a friend here on FC because I don't want you or RBT getting blasted later down the road.

Yeah dude, saw that before, and do agree with your sentiment overall. I also appreciate it and the kind words very much!
It is definitely good advice, I just feel compelled to chime in since I feel like I have a solid perspective that can help color the situation, whereas RBT may never get a chance to respond as it gets lost to time.
Any of my posts should of course be taken with salt as merely my own well-informed opinion, but I like providing some color when I feel confident I can, but it is only color not fact. Id be surprised if I was wrong, but it is still very possible ofcourse and we will find out in the next month or so as Zion production gears up and RBT has more time address these kind of questions... Til then I'll probably pitch in as able

People should not assume that any of the beta testers are affiliated with RBT in any way other than being paying beta testers.
Personally, I think that you do a stand-up job of answering questions & helping out fellow FC'ers where possible, and your comments regarding timescales have never been given as gospel to my recollection.
