Hey, @AJS, whatup's with your intro.? How about us girls.

What a terrific review! Thank you so much, especially for providing your packing technique which really helps us vaping newbies. (Just got an Omni during the sale.) This vape is definitely in solid consideration for a future purchase. I'll now be lurking in-depth through this thread. :sherlock:

Regards, everyone. :)
Haha! Sorry it's just how I talk. I even thought about it as I said it! Haha. I'll address the ladies n gents next time!

Thanks so much for the kind words! Seriously appreciate it. As long as you are willing to work with this vape for a little bit you won't be disapppinted. Just truly is a great vape. Have fun with your Omni :) Let any of us know if you have any questions! Lurking is welcome too :)

I'm scanning this thread looking for a comparison picture of the recessed vs unrecessed milaana......can't find any.

Anyone has one available?

Edit-
Never mind. Had my 18 to 14mm reducer in my milaana and was thinking to myself, didn't I have a recessed one? I do, but the reducer sticks out and I'm nice and medicated so I got confused. LOL

That's what you get when you play with the Milaana a lil too much.

:D

Haha, yeah, that can happen literally on-demand. Heheh.
If you had searched this thread for "The Great Recession", you would have found it :p (Yep, also been medicated when I did that post.... I guess..?)

So very excited to have just received a Milaana!
So while waiting (impatiently) for the battery to charge, I was fondling (yes, fondling, don't judge!) it to see what she was all about.

Anyhow, when I turned her upside down, a couple of nuts (as in bolts) fell out of the battery department.
Should those be there? My common sense tells me that would be a major no-no in a battery area, but my common sense is just that, common.
Any info would be appreciated!

Certainly doesn't sound normal! There is at least one nut supposed to be in there clamping a wire to the battery terminal at the bottom (not sure about the other end of the wire) but its not supposed to be loose. Maybe you get lucky and they are extras fell in there somehow?

I would like to contribute my experience with the mi...
but it is waiting more or less ten days in the custom... usps first class was very fast in shipping it to the eu... but our custom is very slow and I hoped it will be faster this time due to holidays and maybe less post from abroad but it seems like the custom officers are on holidays do not know... hope I will receive it this week....

I already watched all mi videos to pass the time...

BTW I bought me some batteries (sony konia vtc6 and lg hg2)... after purchasing I did put them in0 the charger and they were totaly empty is this normal for new batteries? and should I charge them? or should I wait until I get my mi? how should I store the batteries...

Batteries should be stored with 50%-75% charged. I would suggest that you charge the batteries you purchased already. That way as soon as your Milaana is delivered you are ready to go.

Also, if your Milaana clears customs you do not want to wait to charge the batteries then.

I have seen it written on FC that the first time you charge the 18650 batteries you should allow the battery to charge for a few hours after full.

THE ADVICE TO OVERCHARGE YOUR BATTERIES IS ONLY FOR THE FIRST TIME YOU CHARGE THEM.

From what I understand, properly shipped batteries should bave about half a charge or so. That's how my Air batteries arrived. The LG hg2 bats I picked up at a vape shop were fully charged because the shop owner topped them off as a service for customers. Fully depleted sounds less than ideal but I guess you won't know until you charge them and see how thy hold up. You can charge them now and store them until your Mi arrives. Unless something is amiss with them they should hold the charge and be ready to go when called into action.

One thing I have noticed with these bats...
50% is about 3.7v? From what I have been able to glean is ideal storage voltage and what the get shipped at. The thing is pop them into the D2 and graphic read out shows an empty bat not 50%

That's one of the downsides of the Milaana (and Zion, MistVapeTouch, Nomad): you need a voltmeter of some kind to really know what's going on. Battery gauges are usually too limited.

Thankfully voltmeters are cheap from China, so I'm reposting one for the new players: https://www.banggood.com/0_28-Inch-2_5V-30V-Mini-Digital-Voltmeter-p-974258.html

You can even 3D print a cell holder like this one that has a slot to put the voltmeter: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1343448

Just add a couple of battery contacts like those (not necessarily this model, check dimensions first there are many more) and solder the two wires: http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Keystone-Electronics/5231/

I think this was the case with my batteries ... I was mislead by the graphic read out from my charger.....

Depends what generation your device is, hard to tell from your pictures. I just don't see any nut, so I assumed you had an older device like mine.

Your post never undoes itself? You can't turn it in either direction?

Anyway, a dab of solder on that contact point was the fix for me (I couldn't find any nut having the right size, I assume it's imperial units?) Previously my post could come loose very often and I realized that when it did, the heater wire became completely free and the contact intermittent, I was losing a lot of power.

When I saw the device internals I realized why! The way it's assembled in that particular location is completely how ya doin'!

PS: ah! and be very careful when you sand the previous glue at the wood interface! I thought I was but now the junction is not as nice as before, there are visible seams there and there and it's less even... The two wood parts, body and bottom cap, need to be very precisely flat.

My post is rock solid. I do have an older device, unrecessed glass but with a heater screen.

Think i might just put a dab of epoxy on it before i put the wood on.

Thanks for the tip. My glass came out as well a while back. Guess the glue is getting old.
