I love the ones I got from alan but for cooling the ones from phatpiggie work better. I also managed to break the glass on my favorite one from Alan so if your order from him you might want to get all wood.

Every day more happy with milaana is perfect for all conditions .. the day you have one with cable will fly very high! I sure answered it but I did not catch up with it and I even asked for the risk of being repetitive; How do you clean the wood stems? Only hot water

@little maggie yeah all wood, I need to know I've got a stem that can take a drop I've got clumsy fingers but my friends are worse... Imagine a camping trip where someone breaks my glass stem and I can't use my Milaana. Can guarantee it would happen right at the start of said trip too.

Here is a question for the wider audience... I'm thinking of getting a 14mm male as the mouth piece, thinking that the extra restriction might be good for less heat to burn my lips/mouth, and I can then use it as a glass adapter as well. Or should I just get standard and save that job for a glass m2m?
In fact I think I just answered my own question probably best to keep the wood away from glass piece as it would hold the smell more if combusted in accidentally? Which is more likely through glass?

The one I had that broke was beautiful wood with some glass. If you need it cooler and don't want to use water you might check out the Ddave Milaana air cooler or Ed's glass whip. Ed's was made for the extreme q but works fine with the milaana.

I am also going to get the ddave v2 kit so I can play with the 14mm stuff to, I just thought it might be nice to have an unbreakable m2m, but I think I'll go standard with the wood and just get a glass m2m.

Push hemp fiber thru to clean wood stems (just for reference I've had mine for 4 months and mostly use my Milaana with wood stems over glass and haven't had to clean them yet).

I have no qualms about my 18mm to 14mm wooden stem and prefer it over glass m2ms, but that's just me.

I have an OG raised lip Milaana that the glass has come loose on. It is a Lifetime warranty Pre-order so no worries there.
What is the current proper methods of facilitating a return right now?

As long as the glass isn't broken you can glue it yourself, or send it back for repair.

With Mark's help the "Turbulator" was proven to reduce the classic center burn that is typically associated with high temperature convection. This change will be a running change and will be an unidentified enhancement. The same change has been proven on the Zion.

The proof for the logo guitar picks are approved and the intial trial run of pick shaped copper is slated to run tomorrow. With these last few modifications we are happy to push Milaana into the done category. Looks like I'll be picking up a fancy premium rare wood Milaana in the near future with a whole lot of improvements from my early v1! Excited to see what the fuss is about this turbulized heater, even better than the v2?! Not to mention the guitar pick and new copper to match, and oh ya the fucking woodwork!

Morning FCerz!

Just got back late last night from RBT Labs. Looking forward to transitioning my shop from glasswork over to the Milaana assembly in the next few days. Monday we'll start building more Milaana.

I know Ryan is thrilled to have the Zion Train on the tracks built through Milaana R&D and implement those lessons learned into the Beast that is Zion. Now knowing Zion, VAS is in the air. As a flavor chaser, heed my words, get in line for that train. Looking forward to that ride myself.

Depends on technique and personal preference, for stirring in all other Milaanas at least

There is a phenomenon known a center char. Due to the free flow of air through the Milaana, the center of the 18mm male joint load would get a bit darker than the outer perimeter of the circle.

With turbulation RBT has shifted the dynamic literally.

The stir is a preference thing. I personally don't stir, but I do pull the stem out and give it a 90 or 180˚ twist. There is a cadence to my Milaana deployment. Once I get vapor at temperature, I leave off the throttle, continue to inhale residual vapors and then withdraw stem and finish the draw with fresh air before exhale.

On a side note, I'll be adding some a few non-Maple Milaana to the 420EDC webshop as soon as I can get some pictures together.

Well put, that phenomenon has been referred to as tunneling in the past, or more broadly just hot spot (I remember when it wasn't necessarily in the center here either, but rolling improvements saw to that). Excited to see how the new units can avoid it!

I like the walnut amber a lot! Just looks almost blended together. I think a walnut stem wood make it feel close to organic.

That Aspen is pretty neat, two-toned, but not darker like the old ones were... Seems it's the other side of the one in this photo from IG:

Spalted there too, wonder where all these rare wooded Mi's have been going, I feel like there were tons posted on IG before the switch to Zion, but these are the first to actually be available since the RBT store closed?

I'll message you soon about that Aspen if it's my best chance to get the new tech hotness in a fancy wood, sooner than later at least, not that I'm in need really

It's so nice tho. Also I don't find a need to stir and barely rotate my stems with the "sip vapor til it falls into your mouth" tech. 2screen tech completely removes it as well
