Still putting a plug for the 420EDC stem with the micro addition. I've started to use a layer of hemp between the screen and the herb for extra filtering.

Looks like the integrity of that screen is on its last legs. We have RBT OEM screens here: https://www.420edc.com/rbt-milaana/
These screens will be tougher to install on some of the colored glass compared to clear glass as each glass color literally has variations in the internal diameters. I believe the screens were designed to optimally work with the clear glass RBT was sourcing in early 2016. I use a metal chopstick and have a titanium dowel that works too in terms of installing.

Thanks for the input guys! An extra screen that looks unused was provided with the Milaana when I received it so I'll install that in a stem when I get home tonight and give it a go and see if it works. If that fixes the problem I'll probably order a couple extra screens for all the stems.
Once you get them in there secure, the need to remove them is minimum. I soak the stem with screen installed in ISO and then rinse with a high pressure hot water stream from the little hose on the kitchen sink. They come out sparkling clean which seems better long term versus torching the screen to clean it.

Was going to post an update to my situation here last night but I completely forgot. The newer screen I popped in the stem seems to be holding very well, so I think old screens were indeed the issue I was facing. I'll probably order some more screens in the near future so I can fill out all the stems but for now I'm glad I just got the one going. Thanks again for the help everyone!
EDIT: I forgot to mention that on another note I ordered more batteries(even though the ones I was given seem to work more than fine I couldn't help the want to experiment with more; I've heard that different batteries can produce different results in regard to vaping). I purchased a pair of Sony VTC4 18650 2100mAh 30A Flat Top Batteries, a pair of Samsung 25R 18650 2500mAh 20A Flat Top Batteries, and a pair of LG HG2 18650 3000mAh 20A Flat Top Batteries. They seemed to be well reviewed from the battery reviews I googled, but I honestly know nothing about 18650's. Would these be considered batteries of a good quality for the Milaana?

It should hold up pretty well if you're good to it. They mostly get mangled going in and out of the glass. Just leave it in the glass for cleaning. Might have to clean a little more often, but simple. Get some ISO or grain alcohol. Put it in a tall skinny shot glass (or tiny jar). Soak stem with screen and a little higher submersed (try to get at least the whole GonG in there) for 1/2 an hour or more. Clean part that didn't fit in solution with a q-tip or pipe cleaner, using the solution that will already be in there. Rinse well with hot water. Dry, and you're good to go. Save that cleaning solution and use it over, and over, and over..... This is why small jar can be better. Just cap it tightly and put it under the sink until you need it again.
You will need to replace eventually, so keep screens on the list and order whenever.

On top of efficient cleaning, there is no burned taste when using ISO. Since becoming a full time vaper, the taste of a torched screen is unpleasant to me. If I DO combust when using water I MUST replace it, even if it was just changed.
It's been facinating to me how much changing to vaping has changed the whole experience for me. Nearly everything...
Going on 13th year of vaping almost exclusively and it's hard going back to combustion. #FuckIt

It will only be 3 years of vaping for me in March or so, tho it seems like way longer. My evolution in devices shows in my sig. I had expected Venus and Bam Bam to end my VAS but I don't think there is a cure. I don't NEED any more, but that hasn't stopped me.
If I HAD to be stuck with only one, I am sure that would be Venus the Zion, and she isn't even quite production quality yet. Her or Bam Bam. But I still love my Lotus and my VapCaps (and my Herbalaire when in a session kinda mood or a crowd), so it is good that we don't HAVE to choose.

I find my favorite vaporizer changes every week. This week I'm swearing by the Milaana and I love it and I would never want to be parted with it now but I do get bored easy and by next week I'll probably pick up some vape I haven't touched in a month or two and give it a go and then swear by that and love that one for a good week or two until I rotate to the next. Variety is the spice of life!

Couldn't agree more with the idea of swapping vapes and changing things up. Sometimes I i pull out a vape i haven't used in a while but more often it's a number of different vapes in a day depending on mood or situation.
With screens, I have found that the only way to get them completely clean is to torch them. I find no combustion taste if done with a blue flame.
IME using an ISO soak (even for a week....) and boiling water rinse leaves some slight residue, and this being sticky, collects more resin and the screens end up clogging up more quickly afterwards.

If you want glass and screens sparkling then you need PBW (professional brewers wash).
I clean my glass vape stems, and screens in ethanol and to get the sticky residue off I clean in PBW.

I get a year or more out of a screen
Just hold in a pair of needle nose pliers and heat to red hot with a lighter then take a brush or toothpick and brush it off inside and out. Better than new. Less metal residue with the vaper. I even do it to new ones.

Personally, I'm not a fan of torching screens. I used to, but think it is too hard on them. Get some grain alcohol (Everclear). It's 95% (190 proof) and drinkable (if you like moonshine!), so safe to use. It is expensive, but I reuse it forever. I have one jar for dumping into glass pieces where I let it sit for a day or two and then rinse well with hot water after. Dump this back into the same storage jar and use forever. It will get a tan color to it after a while, but still works great. Could probably evaporate it to QWISO type reclaim at some point, but am guessing it will be years before it is too cloudy to work well.
For screens and small things I have a tiny airtight jelly jar full. It's only about 1 1/2" diameter and 2 1/2" deep. Drop screens or glass for quick clean right in and let it sit for an hour or overnight. For screens, give the jar a good couple shakes before pulling them. Hit with a dry toothbrush as soon as I pull things out and use whatever alcohol is hanging on it to clean. Sometimes give toothbrush another dip into the jar if needed for extra scrub. Rinse well with hot water, and they are good as new. No sticky. No residue. No discoloration or flexing weirdly from overheating with a torch. Add a little alcohol (very little) to the jar every month or two to keep it full.
One liter of Everclear did cost about $35. But, I've been working from same half bottle of it for about 9 months now, and can't see me needing the whole other half for quite some time unless I accidentally contaminate what I'm reusing.
It doesn't clean glass as well as PBW, but is pretty good stuff. If you're only vaping and clean weekly (or at least every 2 weeks) it cleans great. If cleaning pieces from dabbing, I just give it an extra day or two before rinsing. Not sure how well it would work with glass that has been combusted in, but probably pretty good there too.

I don't torch screens and prefer not using ISO alcohol being 7 years sober. I stay away from alcohol best I can. With glass I know the iso washes off but a screen is tricky to rinse off iMO. As @Vapenvy mentions, I find soaking screens in anything just makes more of a mess and becomes stickier. Flame , in my opinion, can down grade the quality / structure of metal screen.

Very glad this works for you, but I've had poor results with it when tried in the past. Maybe I run too many hits through my screens before cleaning to do this effectively? I do have a small steel test tube type brush I'll use at my vape station for a quick clean, but even that needs a cleaning with Everclear every once in a while to get the accumulated goo off.
I've been daily on the nano for almost 4 years now, so screens are a regular part of my vaping, and have gone through quite a bit of trial and error to come to where I am now. Everclear soak is the best I've found, and can easily clean many screens at a time (I usually do 5 or 6). Also, a simple way to quickly clean Mi screens without pulling and reinserting. I only pull mine for deeper cleaning every 5 or 6 times. The others I just submerge in alcohol for an hour or so, pull, get in the end with the toothbrush a bit, and rinse with hot water.
Cant remember who suggested it but the best way I've found to clean my stem and screen is to seal one end of the stem with a finger put a little ISO in the stem seal the other end and give it a good shake... dump out the ISO then rinse under the hot tap. Comes up looking new with no fuss and no removing the screen! You can keep the ISO and use it several times and even evaporate when nice and saturated, for reclaim. Works a treat!

That's a perdy Milaana! Does this mean we might expect to see walnut(and dare I say, maybe even exotic wood)bodies coming soon??? That would be a good reason to get a Milaana #2 if I've ever heard one!
On a separate note, my new batteries came in today. My first thought was yay! My second thought was wow those are way more batteries than I'll ever need. The third thought was something along the lines of "eh fuck it". Got the Sony VTC4's charging now, quite excited to see the performance differences that come along with different types of batteries.
