Nice. Well done with the finger indicator letting us know when you were pressing.
I feel like my load would have for sure been scortched, probably combusted with the basket that close and that much pressing. Was the battery at 100%?
I'm finally able to intuit how/when to feather the button to maintain temps with direct draw as there is the heat feedback there. Are you basing your modulation off feel from mostly using that way or are you actually using some kind of cue?
Thanks man!
Lol yeah, I know yours runs hotter. Mine is still on the hot side imo, but yours seem more so.
Battery was at 100% or very close to. Probably 100. Remember I also did no tamping, I just poured from my Doob tube and vaped. Also draw rate might affect it. I wasn't pulling fast, but also not my usual super slow draw.
My feedback is "it's been X amount of time (based off intuition from using it so much), so it should be reaching Y Temp, and vapor should be starting to pour through soon."
I predict where my heater is at based off what I feel (dry) or what I see (water). If it's been like X seconds and vapor hasn't produced, I imagine I'm about to hit a big spike in temperature, just from what I know about my unit and my personal variables in use.
I've said this before, but it's important to let off a bit during a spike, idk if I'm the only one that feels em, but my unit is a gradual increase for a second or 2 into a spike, back into a gradual increase. When I hit 3.5k rpm in my car I get a nice boost, but it levels back out before I get to shift.
I have no objective, systematic way of getting through my sesh. It is a moment by moment adjustment, like taking a turn in a car. You are always slightly adjusting your steering wheel and gas.
I go into very hit with a "we'll see how this goes" kind of attitude. But that also follows my personality type, some people are more list oriented. Step by step.
If I hold the button for 4 seconds, I just adjust accordingly, 2 seconds, 0 seconds, doesn't matter, the journey will be different but the end of the hit will always yield the result that I want.
