I want to get rid of any worn batts. Exactly what am I testing for?
Kerozen explained it is not that simple, that a battery could still reach max capacity but drain fast
You should contact RBT about that cold unit, maybe a round-trip to the mothership could fix her up? Of course only if you can withstand being separated for a while... I know I wouldn't!
Man, I love math!Milaana battery geeks, I need help.
First, somehow, I've accumulated 27 batteries, all in an even rotation. I must use 2 or 3 a day.
I have 2 nitecore chargers, one i2 and one d4. I just bought a new charger /tester. Haven't really looked at yet. I want to get rid of any worn batts. Exactly what am I testing for?
I know this is an amateur question, but this is complicated stuff.
I have experienced a hot copper top, suspected contact issue (had to adjust washers, pull contacts out on one Mi, lost track of which one, I'll monitor). It only seems to happen when Mi is red hot and cranking out an impossibley long session.
+1 for positive facing downI've found positive-down to be the easier way as well. It's a tiny difference for sure, but it's easier to place and tighten the copper plate correctly when its dimple is sliding across a flat surface instead of trying to line it up with the bump on the positive side.
I love it...After a bit of elbow grease with sand paper and wire brushes I got a much better finish on the top by the glass.
I think I'm satisfied with the out come and will be keeping the look! So no more center page fold out photo shoots
Man, I love math!
Problem #1
(4 Mil's) / 27 batteries / 2 or 3 per day + 2 nitecore chargers (i2 * d4) ^ 1 new test charger / 1 hot copper top / ~contact(variable) +/- contacts * 1 Mil =Party at Bravesst house!!!!! Bring your own stash!!!!
Problem #2
Red Hot + Impossibly Long Session = (We still talking vaping here? )
+1 for positive facing down
My advice, send in... It will be worth it.Hey folks, still loving my Millana, but my glass has come loose
Does anyone know what the favored glue is ATM?
And whether gluing it myself will invalidate warranty? (@RastaBuddhaTao ?)
I know there were several mentions of at least two brands of glue, but I'm keen to use whichever one is officially sanctioned (or return my unit if that's the only way to preserve my warranty).
In other news, despite the fact that my recently received Grasshopper works as it should, without the often reported problems, it is still the vape that I'd give up before my Milaana and my VapCaps (this may yet happen, haven't decided yet), as it's just not as nice to use, and vapor production, whilst very robust, is harsher than both Mi and VC, and not as tasty as either (tastiest of the 3 is Milaana, closely followed by VC, with GH in a distant third).
It's not that the GH tastes bad as such, just that it neuters the flavour leaving you wondering where the taste went (3 strains so far, same results with all 3).
Even my old INH05 offers stronger taste than the GH!
Anyway, back to my original questions, what brand of glue is RBT currently endorsing?
I asked Ryan these questions too (horses mouth and all that), but no reply as yet (early days, but I'm keen to resume Milaana use) .
So I took my milaana to work and I only had one battery left from trading my 1st milaana to @Bravesst so I plugged my d2 in at work with my 1 battery and got busy worked all day and headed home and left my battery and charger at work so I stopped at my vape shop and they have the Samsung 25r but they are green now I guess? I asked about the Sony and the guy said they were about to get some from warehouse in Philippines...so who knows what the hell so I grabbed 2 greenies but needless to say I'm so empty brained that I still don't have a charger at home with me..no milaana til morning..
Also when I heave a freshly charged battery the milaana makes a slight crackling sound when heating up sometimes?
@WakeAndVape: I heard that crackling sound sometimes, unsure what it really is... The urban legend around here seems to tell it's the bud moisture being flash vaporized, but maybe it's something else, like micro-sparks on the trigger contacts?
Science, bitch! This is what Ryan wrote me a while back (I got the permission to post the correspondence):
"Crackling is normal under faster temperature changes like with a hot battery or after a long preheat. It is the heater expanding and contacting against the mica. Kinda sounds like a cat scratching to get out "
Have a nice day, fellow Mi lovers
