Naked Maple sporting a high heal, her first few coats of oil, all planed and sanded to near perfection. This prototype inspired me to want to do a couple of things, but in the meantime, she's stealth, works well (came from a unit that got little use), and transplanted pretty easily.
I don't like that you can see the seam where the bottom attaches. I will have to "joint" the two edges, just like any two pieces of wood that I'd join in my shop, even though these are so small. We'll see how perfect I can get it. I have some nice ideas for the next prototype that I'm working on today... Walnut this time.
EDIT: Walnut almost done, in the meantime, I've been sipping on the this little beauty all day. I must have done something right, because it's functioning like a factory built version.

Looks like you are having a blast building Milaana!
Little update on Milaana, RBT has gone back to clear glass in the building process for the internal female joint and included male stems with units. We worked on a bunch of glass for RBT last year and early this year. Once we finished up on the male short stems, we were doing assembly of the heaters and know firsthand that the variations in glass color and glass batch were problematic during the assembly process.
Using the clear glass, it will allow the manufacturing to be more streamlined and simplified compared to trying to adapt colored glass to each body, which over the production of hundreds of units, could cost hours of time for assembly that can now be saved with adopting clear as the standard.
For those new to the Milaana, if you want colored male stems, that is still possible by buying the colors you want separately. Just know that internal glass moving forward will be clear and the stems included with the bare bones Milaana or Standard Package will be clear to match the female internal glass joint.

Meeeeeh!), but saw that the Walnut version is available again on the 420edc.com website and ordered one of those too. Now, I will soon have 2 Milaanas to choose from. Or one as a backup. Or as a gift to a beloved friend. Or I will just simply love them both. I really need to seek assistance...

Walnut is very nice. You'll be able to compare them side to side. That's brave of you to buy another since you haven't used the first one lol. No doubt you'll love them though. It seems like you already know you'll like the Mi. Honestly it's the one I've been reaching for the most at home. I don't really vape much out the house anymore and when I did I would use my Grasshopper. So, it did take over for now since I wanted to master it. I have mastered it now, so let's see if I still reach for it the most over my others. My heart knows the GH can't be replaced, but it's got friends now.I need to seek assistance... That's it. I have - of course - no idea whether I will really love this vape, but it seems EXACTLY like the "at home" unit (I have other devices for "on the go") that I have always been looking for.
I watched the videos and read this thread over and over again. The Milaana triggers all that I like about an electric vape. Wood, Glass, on demand, convection, no electronics, changeable batteries, no fixed temp settings, no smartphone app and so on and so on.
And - to be honest: It will surely not be too difficult to find a buyer for it, in case that I was too daring. I will probably lose some money, but surely less than what I have lost by buying dozens of "useless" vapes before finding the right one.
Could you please kindly block my IP on your website?

I should have my Milaana by next week and couldn't be more excited. I'm already thinking ahead about how I will use it when out and about and I was wondering if any of you guys know of any good small nug size grinders? I'm searching now, but not having good luck with pictures. I think a 2-piece would be plenty. Something metal. What are you guys using or are you guys just carrying preloaded stems?

Lot of us pre grind and load up a doob tube. If you do .. you'll never look back. The convenience is nearly unmatched.

One thing I've found recently with the Doob Tube, and maybe I'm just late to the game, but if you fill the cap by tapping when upside down, then open the Tube, you can suck the material right out of the cap into the short stem. Was dumping the Tube contents into the top of a battery box for the longest time and then sucking the material out of the lid of the battery box, the cap fill is much easier to clean up (by just putting the cap back on the Tube).

if u get the black fat dynavap doob tube you can probably put your whole stem in there to vacuum fill

Doob Tube caps fit very snugly, smell escaping has never been a concern on the design from my experimentation. Putting a hundred caps on a hundred tubes actually gave me a minor case of Skier's Thumb which is chronic already in my left thumb. The following day after putting a hundred together my right thumb was screwed for a few days as well. It's healed up nicely, lesson learned.

I have never used the name brand product, only cheaper copies and they weren't very smell proof, so my criticism may well not apply to the real Doob Tubes. The caps were not tight enough and often came loose in my pocket if I wasn't careful, which is worse than leaking smell...

Yeah I was using one from a Cavi cone I had bought, and used it for a good while. Now I'm using one that's plastic with a cork, that I got from a Kurvana cartridge I had bought. I haven't had issues with either opening up on me. However, I usually kept them in a pencil case along with my GH. Now I put it in the hemp bag with the Mi and haven't had issues with it. You should try some of the real ones, I would like to try some glass ones with a cork since glass is well you know, nice.

I thought the black tubes were just longer for XL stuff, but if they are wider too than maybe. The green and purple ones are too narrow for sure.
I got a very small black one from them once, I think it protected a cap in the mail, and I sometimes use that if I think I may only need one or 2 fillups. It is squeeze to open, tho, so a little risky.
I noticed you said "black fat" so there may well be tubes I haven't seen.
