Why not just use the provided screens as a basket? Flip em over and slide the basket to the brim, just as you would the ddave or elb, just without a ring on the outside of the m2m, it's inside it.
Yep..... working great for me!
If screens are sliding too much, just flex the sides out. Best way I've found to do this is to get a dowel (or whatever cylinder) that is about the size of the face of the screen (flat part, bottom of "bucket). Push the dowel into it as straight and far as you can. Go at least 2/3 to 3/4 into it. If it flares out too much, before you pull it off the dowel give it a few squeezes with flat faced pliers (no grippy teeth!), or crank a hose clamp down on it. Wiggle screen off and you're good to go!
When I reshape my nano screens, I put the screen with dowel in it on a piece of board and tap other end with a hammer. Works great! If a little too stretched, just push together a bit or use pliers/clamp. But, never a problem going basket style even if it may take a little force to push it into the glass. I use a small pencil for this part. If it is really tough to push it in, just a little spit along the crown will usually be enough for it to slide right in.
The bitch for me is that I haven't found anything perfectly sized for RBT screens. nano screens, and my dowel, are smaller diameter. Have a little screwdriver with handle that is just a little too big. Did a quick stretch on RBT screen with it by only going about 1/3 in. A little wider stretch than I like, but all good because going basket style in Mi. Now it's nice and tight.
Really should try to find metal dowels that are the right size for each, but wood works fine - even with the hammer at least 10 or so times. I bought the dowel I have now for cheap in 3 foot length, so plenty to lop a new piece off of whenever I want.
Other methods should work well, too. The trick just seems to be that you only want to stretch it out a little, do it all the way around pretty evenly - and at the same time if you can. Bending out a little at a time with needle nose pliers or something is a real pain in the ass, and IME leads to disappointing results.
