When growing up, our family dog was a gift from a family friend who bred them. We got her free, but, had to promise to have her have a litter.

Lareau's Blazing Ember (AKC name) had 8 puppies who lived.

I can think of nothing that will make you laugh harder than to be inundated by a bunch of puppies. Nothing. Even considering the moment I was attacked by the crew has me give a big smile--even though events were 50 years ago. You never forget a puppy rush.

My family's German Shorthair we called Pup had 15 out of 17 live births in one litter. We made the local newspaper. Talk about puppy rush....
