Actually, dogs played a huge part in WWII, especially in the Pacific theater. On Guam is the Dog Cemetery where they were all buried. It is very moving to visit and is a fitting tribute to their sacrifice. I kinda had some of the same emotions there as I did in the American Cemetery in France.

I've had my 'granddog' here for the past 10 days. It was a big dicey at first between my dog and her.. but they've reached a truce and are besties now. Who are NOT supposed to be on the couch.
