G'day guys

New to the forum, but not new to vaping (currently using the solo with PVHES stems). As many on this thread I too have pre-ordered the XP, which as I understand uses a mix of conduction/convection. Do any other users of the IHN004 find that they can turn their unit on, take a few hits then turn the unit off without the conduction aspect of the device "cooking" the herb too much?

Thanx in advance

VNS turn it on, plug it in do your session and keep it on to charge...maybe that will reset it. I hardly ever have mine off so I haven't ran into that issue but it does seem like a circuit board connection of some sort.

Now for the decision, my guess is it will charge the way I said but you can send it in to get it replaced in a few weeks when the xp is out. Glad to have you back vaping so you can settle down a bit.

Hazy you can do that just remember to turn it off and take your last few hits or you will not cool the chamber enough.

Thanks Dreamerr, in that case the XP seems ideal for when you are out and about and have to be discreet. Sadly, here Down-under we don't have any MMJ so we have to fly under the radar.....fly being the operative word here :)

If you read earlier posts you would have seen I personally think the INH is the stealthiest if people use ecigs down under. I have the hygienic mouth piece on it and a smooth flow which is silver and black. To me it looks like an ecig and I have used it in front of people cause they walk up on me and I just don't bother hiding or stopping. Nobody has even looked at me sideways. They said whatever and we had whatever convo and no comment about the funny thing I was inhaling from.

XP pushed back again...:horse:

4 days from now is not bad... i know it can and may change again, but as of now 4 days is not horrible. The race is on to see who gets a product to their customers hands first... Cera or Inhalator hehehehe

Don't forget the miVape!
I'm keen to hear about the xp, I've thought the INH is the portable that could replace my solo but I don't see the point in getting one with a new model imminent that could be better.

miVape.... now that IS a funny one!!!! i am betting the Cera, the XP, the Ascent... heck... the mini cera (that hasn't even been officially announced) will come out before the miVape does.... LOL

Really looking forward to the XP, tried the flashvape, let's just say I'm remembering why I loved the Pax so much coming from the days of TV and evo and mflb.

Digital temperature control is so under-rated!

I'm also waiting for the XP to join the inhalater club (oh wait can't talk about the club....) excited to see how this all plays out.

Regardless of which ships first, I can tell you which I believe will REMAIN in customers hands longer after arrival....
Inhalater

really??? i am no fanboy of the cera (you can find my posts in the cera threads and see) but it seems it is made of high quality materials. i don't want to derail this tread but i would be interested in your opinion on why the inhalater would outlast the cera in users hands??

i will say it again... i am no fanboy of the Cera but i was interested in it as well as interested in the XP so i really am curious about both and your opinion on the XP outlasting the Cera

I think Vitolo did not mean outlast as in functional problems ocurring in the unit. It is quite clear the Cera will look as good as new for a much longer time than the Inhalater.

Explaining his opinion isn't off-topic at all. I agree with vorrange though, you seem to be misinterpreting Vitolo's intent. I thought he was referring to satisfaction not longevity, but I'm sure he'll be along to sort this out.

For loose leaf, for sure. For oil? That Cera looks almost optimal.

I am talking about user satisfaction with product.
TV1 already proved to us that professional looking videos... and shiny space age looking products do not hypnotize us for long.
It is use that counts.
Yes.. I am jaded. It is my opinion that the TV was "all fluff and no stuff".
Cera now must overcome the obstacle of the company having disappointed many users once before.
(Yes, a few TV1 users were happy.. not very many, however)

I meant that the unit will not be as technologically sound and as important of a discovery as the Inhalater, in comparison.
I had a girfriend once that looked better than all other women.. and for longer too.....
God am I glad she is gone!
Inhalater thread.. so Inhalater fan speaks out!

Big Rigger Approved!
These delays are killing me. (Sorry for bitching in my first post) :)

I am fairly new to vaping and have been on the market for a great portable to compliment my Cano-Digit. (The Cano is awesome but a bit overkill for a daily driver for 1 person). After reading tons of threads I decided the INH was what I was looking for. I decided to wait for the XP since its better and the same price. A huge thanks to everyone here for their useful input and opinions. It made my decision much easier.
Next I need my first piece of glass. Will almost definately go for the FC Bubbler when it becomes available (hopefully very soon). I have zero experience with glassware so I have no idea what kind of difference it will make when it comes to vaping. Is it worth the money? What can I expect from a bubbler?
I also want to give a shout out to PlanetVape. They are very helpful and quick to respond. Their customer service has been top notch so far.

Thanks again to the FC members who take the time to make this site great.

The differences between the two devices are quite few and far between, them both being primarily convection based units with similar power supplies and from the looks of it, cloud output. But they do differ in one big way, that the Inh is digitally modulated and the Cera is manually operated.

Might not seem like much at first, but really, they make the two vapes ideally suited for two different types of sessions. Ever since I've gotten my T1 (recent) I've been using it in place of the Inh for small, quick sessions that bridge the gap between larger sessions. But at the same time, manually controlling the power to the element makes using the T-1 a little more 'tiring' so to speak, as you have to constantly think about what you are doing and if you let your mind wander, you might end up combusting.

But with the Inh, there is no thought to it past choosing your temperature setting. It just sits there, microcontroller modulating the current to keep it at the right level, waiting for you to take a big, perfect puff. Combustion is not even a thought. It's just so simple and elegant that whenever I need to medicate past a few puffs I always pull it out instead of the T1. And I figure it is pretty safe to say that the design of the Cera is going to be similar.

My sessions with the T1 are quick and utilitarian, not relaxing, extended vaping experiences like with the Inh. I use the Inh for much longer at a time and always choose it over the T-1 for extended portable sessions. That's what I beleive Vito meant by remaining in the hands longer, not really anything to do about building materials.

one advantage the INH has is temperature control which IMO makes a big difference as far as flavor is concerned. Also I think the huge vapor cloud produced by cera can draw attention when used outdoors which counter acts stealthiness. However, the ceramic bowl of the cera IMO is better than the polyimide as far as material longevity is concerned.

Ah we don't really know the production of clouds on the cera LL. I asked for normal hits and never got them. I can take a 5 second hit on the INH and get clouds to big for me. As far as cleaning cera should win but again we don't know for sure till members get it but I think we assume correctly.
