did they charged the credit allready or when they ship it?

Idon't know man, you have to ask to Planetvape...... I always pay by Paypal because they refund you if you don't receive your order.
It is not a lack of confidence in the sellers, but the post office and/or the carriers ..... if the parcel does not arrive for one reason or another, they will refund you (it happened to me a few times with China!).
So when I buy, especially abroad, I have more peace of mind and I can not lose my money, just my time ! ;)
And I will do the same for my CERA, because I think I will not receive it before the "45 days Paypal"....... but I hope it arrive before ! :D

I wonder if they have a longer delay because they have to wait for the units to be shipped to Canada, and there was a delay in the release...tack on a delay for shipping, that would make sense.

I don't notice a smell with this one either ... just vape4life :) ... I'm sure inhaling polyimide dust would be bad ... but this sheet of polyimide is structurally stable up to temperatures higher than will be achieved while vaporizing. On top of that, it only becomes pliable at the slightly higher temperatures, and it's actual melting point is much, much higher (ie. it can be torched without melting but it may soften some under high heat and be "pliable" ...)

I was initially very concerned about the plastics and polyimide but both materials in this vape are top notch from my research and experience.

I can assure you it's not just me, I have actually been in discussions with one of our supporting retailers about this issue. They smell it the same, it's not a problem with the unit, it's the polyimide. Some just have better senses of smell, same goes for any other vape. I just read in the Cloud thread that someone can "taste" stainless steel from the ELBs at max temp. The structural stability of polyimide starts going down at around 230c IIRC, which isn't overly more than what the INH can get up to. On top of that, you are actually inhaling hot air over that material, so I was just curious since I could smell something myself.

EDIT: Just wanted to add, how structurily stable is it really? The polyimide in my bowl ripped apart the first day, although it wasn't seated properly to begin with, it didn't feel all that strong once it was compromised.

I also noticed massive streams of vapour coming off of it without a bowl in it, but I attributed that to the oils on my fingers from handling the capsules.

This is straight up frustrating.

Calm down and vape some more Indica guys... :leaf: This might be the shortest announced delay in the history of vaporizers... A month? Really? That much? And it could simply be a supplier having an accident and couldn't deliver the goods or something... Accidents happen... Look at what happened to Thermo Essence with the heavy rain. Every time a manufacturer says it's gonna be a little late, people start crying out almost immediately. Put a break in your lives guys and give those guys a break and let them give us a complete product that will be up to our high (I hope they are :p ) standards! :peace:

Yes I think it's Pharmacor has not yet delivered Planetvape....

vape4life,

I was the guy from the cloud thread who tasted the stainless steel from the cloud on MAX. It truly is only at MAX on the cloud. But I know what it's like to be the only one who senses something.

Anyways, when I very first fired up my INH I heard a slight crackle noise. I looked inside and actually saw the polyimide appear to move a bit with the increasing hit. Move might be too strong.... it appeared to tighten. I thought there was a very feint plastic smell at first so I just ran the unit through a few cycles. Then I couldn't taste anything. I tried a capsule and never tasted anything at all. Same goes for when I get new capsules. INH is the cleanest tasting vape I have right now.

That said, I am always still concerned about this and would want to investigate any new info that is available. I was reading another thread recently that was written by a guy designing a vape with polyimide and he was saying it appeared to offgass at lower temperatues than it should have. I need to find that again....

*edit* it was the last page of the Bud Toaster thread. Quoted relevant parts.

well, i couldn't wait. once i had the Deans fitted with copper strips, formed (bent) to meet the pcb, and drilled to accept the #2 sheet metal screws that attach the Deans to the pcb, i screwed it together, attached the BBQ thermometer and fired it up.

first vape for unit #3 at 11PM on 11/28/2012.

first off: the setting that i call "DC BIAS" (for "duty cycle bias", i.e. the setting for the pulse width modulator that controls the current to the coil and provides a 1°F/sec temp increase) is very different -- much higher.

second: surprising amount of outgassing from the polyimide during the first 5 minutes after power on. i thought this shit didn't have a melting point. i need to do some research.

getting too late tonight, but tomorrow, after work, i'll upload the eePROM and see what DCBIAS is set to now. and i need to add the heat shield.

And Jcat had an INH relevant reply, but this was really the last followup unfortunately:

In relation to the outgassing ... I'm imagining you handled the polyimide? Handling it (touching it at all) will leave oils/residue on it which will vaporize off when heated. Similar things have been noted in the Inhalater thread and the consensus (I believe) is that the outgassing is due to handling of the polyimide.

Hey ictus, thanks for your empathy, but again it's not just me and i think i've figured it out. I purchased my INH from Taylor and was actually on a T-break at the time so I never actually used it with any herb ever, because I want to return it. It was defective in many ways anyway (polyimide in bowl torn, dial fell off, switch didn't work properly, faint light flicker, etc) so I think using herb masks this smell. I had it for a few days and used it constantly dry, and I from what I can remember I think I could faintly taste the polymide as well, but definitely could smell it. I'd really be interested about that lower temp offgassing.

If this vape could work with a stainless bowl and glass capsule it would be perfect! Like a Solo/INH hybrid portable vape, and a capsule/stem hybrid.

Vapor.wise
the ss bowl and glass capsule would not work imo.. they would get to hot for all the plastic in there and i think conduction would be an issue as well because the capsule have a narrow diameter.

I'm curious about the offgassing but i am not convinced about the handling polyamide being the reason for the offgass but it should be easy to prove it if you boil the capsule and handle it with some tweezers or some latex gloves and see if it offgasses.

Also, newer units tend to offgass a bit. I was pretty convinced when i saw the temperatures at which that material starts to deteriorate which are way higher than the typical 410F of maximum vaporizing temp.

vape4life, interesting. longshot but wonder if the torn polyimide couldve been compromised leading to more offgassing? a tear would certainly expose more surface area, although not a ton. Based on the way the stuff kinda "flexes and curls" when heated maybe it had an effect...

The only off-gassing I have ever seen under proper lighting conditions is when left over resins evaporate very slowly... If someone doesn't clean the unit very often resins tend to become very hard and won't come off the polyimide heat chamber walls or the mouthpiece walls no matter how hard you scrub with that ISO soaked earplug. Boiling? Won't do shit for those burnt resins. I really believe the XP will be a huge improvement at that point as the heat on the walls will be more uniform (due to the flatter heating elements) so the resins might not get burnt on them any more. It doesn't prove to be a problem while operating and becomes part of the heating chamber, at least from my experience. It tends to off-gass a bit though and it doesn't smell great of course, but I wouldn't say it's the polyimide. When new and clean and manufacturing residues were burned off, it didn't off-gass anything at all for me! And the only smell you get is that of the HEAT. :p

On a second note... Something tells me Pharmacor could be offering XP upgrades at some point with some added cost of course... :myday:

I hope you get your xp soon NF. I want to hear you comparison. I may really pass on the return and keep the broken one which I love to death...capsules not tight never have an issue and just great over all. I don't care all that much about the broken issue since it doesn't effect me anymore. I just changed my habits so much so that when asked last night I couldn't even repeat the problem that I had daily. I am sure if I tried hard I could but I have no reason to.

ictus, totally possible, however it only ripped later on after inserting and removing the capsules many times. Initially I did hear "crinkling" and there was some resistence with the capsules, and it just went downhill from there. I know the smell, it's the polyimide 100%, it's not heat, and again I never used anything with it so no resins. I'm also 99% certain that all the vapour coming from it was oils from my fingers. That's what Taylor from the other side attributed it to and I believe it. I did try to burn off the bowl until no vapour was emitted, then inserted a capsule, removed, and vapour billowed like crazy out of the bowl. It's from handling the capsules. I know that distinct polymide smell, maybe it goes away when you use flowers and it resins up. It's not just the smell of "heat". I don't think polyimide is used anywhere like this in any other application where it can be inhaled at flower vaping temps, it would be curious to ask the actual manufacturers what they thought of it, but i'm sure Pharmacor has already done this greatly, so i'm sure it's all good.

x24 why are you vapeless...did you only have one? That won't due:D

Anyhow INH is my best friend in the hole wide world. I had to take my care in for an oil change. Almost 7 hours later and a mess load of money I finally was done. I vaped out side throughout the day with people coming over to talk to me and they never said a word. I did have on the sanitary tube and a smooth flow connected so that might have made it look more like an ecigg. I also thing since I had no reaction when they walked over and spoke and continued helped as well. There was on way in hell I was going to stop or I might have lost my mind.

All in all NF is the man. My throat started hurting and I left water in my mouth from my ice cold water bottle and used the GhettoNatuaralFarmerBubbler. Let me tell you in a pinch, and you all know I don't use water, it was the best thing for real. NF you  .

No of course not....the calipers got stuck and when they replaced the one that was stuck the new on gost stuck. I told you I have bad luck. Then they ended up using up the little bit of gas I had left....my car takes 20 gallons according to book and I put in 21 at station so really running on fumes. I have a dead battery under warranty that all are refusing to replace...brakemax cause it passes the first test which is dumb cause I just drove there so duh it is charged. They won't let me use the load test from yesterdays test. Off to do the car yet again.

If the battery is on it's way out but still kind of working you could park on the side of their store and just turn the lights and the fan on and keep rolling up and down the windows until everthing stopped ;)

Thanks but that isn't the issue...they are just assholes. I went her ran all the tests all good and showed him the proof. It is really a matter of him proving it to the batt company. It was the calipers that were the biggest deal and the gas smell. When I told Dodge I was on my way up he said he spoke to the mechanic and he spilled stuff. He said don't bother making the long drive it will take about two days to go away. I will find out about the batt on Monday. I am just mad cause it was all so expensive way more then a Ti cera lol. Also the fact that when the caliper was replaced and he took it out for the test drive it locked up again and we had to do it all over again. I just have bad luck is all and it is usually strange stuff like new part failing and almost always cause great aggravation and money. The biggest issue is the huge amount of pain I am cause I wasn't in my bed. This will take days if not a week to settle down so I will be a super bitch until I am back in a normal amount of pain. I will make attempts not to post and think first cause I am a witch right now.

Thanks for trying to help...it was really just a rant. At least the INH got me through. I don't think I could have done that and felt confident with any other portable I own. Also the smooth flow on top made it more believable in my mind which may or may not be true.

Can anyone give me a quick comparison between the Inhalater and the Wispr? I know you guys have a lot more experience with vaporizers than me and I'm curious as to know how they both compare.

The inhalater functions very well. It is a precise extraction tool.
The Iolite Classic works very well, but is not a precise tool that can be lifted up gradually to any temp you wish.
The Wispr functions in my opinion NOwhere near as well as the Iolite Classic.
Many have had leaks internally (a tube comes off was the diagnosis in all of these cases).
I do not know anyone that has kept their Wispr long term, but the Inhalater hits like the Iolite classic, but has precise controls.
