The knob problem is consistent on about 100 units where we were in transition from aluminum knob to plastic. Problem is not existent anymore. Remedy is to cut small indentations in the shaft and knob shaft hole in way to have epoxy glue bite properly and cement components. Unit may be sent to us for warranty repair regarding the issue.

As for the overcooking in Druminfected's unit; this appears to be an electronic malfunction. Completely revised electronics are on the way regarding issues like this.

Thanks for the quick reply. If it continues to be an issue, I will send it in for the repair. It should not matter that I have re-worked the stickers on the outside should it, for warranty purposes?

Would you please be able to answer the questions regarding the batteries? Many of us are interested in the particulars of replacing them.

Wow I know how you feel dreamer I am also feeling a little left out of the fun. Need to get some carbon fibre wrap or something.

I'd just like to reiterate this so that Inhalater see's it the next time they are on:

Hey I have a question for you Inhalater

The battery inside of the unit is a 18650 lithium ion cell. Usually when I examine a Li-Ion cell I can tell whether it has a protection circuit integrated or if it is an unprotected cell. However I can't really tell what exactly the cell is in this one. If we were to replace the battery do we need to worry about using a Li-Ion cell with a protection circuit or is there one built into the device?

Thanks!

Gee I wonder why they won't answer that for you Cen that is strange. Maybe they are trying to figure it out.

Oh I don't think they are ignoring me on purpose, both times they posted it was down a few pages so I can't fault them for missing it.

Reverse voltage and battery protection is part of Inhalater electronics design. The cells used are without battery protection; this helps in keeping the Inhalater short.

Our slow response is due to ambivalence of the commercialisation department on the issue of self battery replacement. Some are of opinion that it is advisable to reccomend having your Inhalater dealer replace battery to avoid any possible damage to unit.

You know I am not going to replace my own battery. I hope it lasts a long time.

Genuine Inhalater battery specs call for 80% capacity after 300 complete charge/discharge cycles. You may expect good utility even after 1 year of intense use.

Due to the fact that round aluminum cap is discontinued; retails outlets will not stock them. Please contact me here so we may organise shipping. admin@inhalater.com

knob seems to be holding for now. I think adding the tension to keep it from turning so easily was just too much for the way it connects to the switch. T-dub suggested I try Gorilla Glue, it becomes a foam which expands, so it might fill in the gaps better, but I was a bit concerned when gluing this last time, that the switch itself would get glued into the off position. It's not very far from the end of the switch mechanism to where it swivels to turn on and off. Hoping this one sticks for a while. We are thinking about going to a weekend camp-out, so if we do go (tomorrow) then I'll get to test out my new portables away from the desk!

Companies always recommend having the dealer replace the battery, the majority probably should do that, but will the warranty be void if someone experienced tries to change the battery themselves?

What matters is how you will handle a case where a user breaks one of the little wires trying to replace the battery. I think that will be the most common replacement-mistake by far... reverse polarity protection was a smart move :2c:

Will you exchange/repair the wires for free or charge a small fee?

I sure hope it won't void the warranty since there is a page on the INH website showing how to pry open the cap to change the battery.

Why is it that after you pop that off the battery just doesn't fall out and you pop in a new one? I know I am dumb on this stuff but that is how flashlights and other things work. Are vaporizers some mysterious things?

Do you have a Pax? How does the Inh compare in heat up time? Battery life? Bowl capacity? :D

Hehehe don't worry it sounds like the Inh has the Pax beat in overall efficiency, and the ability to carry pre-loaded bowls!
Sorry i haven't been on in a while.
been selling a lot of vapes here in cincinnati and I'm excited to see a lot of people on here happy with the inhalater. I am not happy with my buddies' Pax,(uneven abv, quality of hits goes bad quick) I've heard from one of our distributors that the first batch was not good. Could be a sale pitch but my boss did pick up a ATMOS nuke and I am waiting to hear how he feels about it.(prob going to get it) I am still using my inhalater and mystafier as my #1 vapes.

I got the first run of the inhalater and I am very happy that i did.
I will continue to patronize inhalater for there creation of this magnificent product.

Thank you for the best hiking vape ever.

In those applications the flashlight has no real internal circuitry apart from a button or a slider, and having a cap that serves as a negative terminal works perfectly. With the inhalater, I think that the circuitry above the potentiometer is the actual guts of the unit, as I can see what looks to be an ATTiny microcontroller on it which will be the brain of the unit, as well as most of the important circuitry which controls the lights and the heater. All of that comes out with the knob.

I am assuming that the four wires that go up the tube are both a positive and negative pulse width modulated power supply to the heater core, the heating light and the temperature lead that inhalater mentioned back a while ago. Other than that all of the important stuff is at the bottom of the unit.

Thanks inhalater for the info, but I was curious will my replacement inhalater have the revised electronics in it? I just sent mine back yesterday in the mail to taylor from the other side vapes website.

PlanetVape sells Doob Tubes, at a reasonable cost.
I found them to be the right size to carry two Inhalator Capsules... Then I thought to myself, what about carrying prefilled Capsules?
I just cut some of my Doob Tubes in half, and Voila!

Great minds think a like, I was just thinking about this! Waiting to get my doob tube to see if the capsules fit in there and you answered that for me thanks!

After reading some great reviews, I've decided to purchase an Inhalater. I googled the name and found http://inhalater.com/. Then I went to the "Get Yours Now" link, and it goes to an Ebay store that doesn't exist anymore. Am I missing something? This doesn't really give me a huge amount of faith to purchase.

edit: nevermind, I found a site selling it. Still... website could use an update. It honestly is affecting my decision.
