Hello to everyone,
OK First Happy new Year to all FC Users. Now we are in 2011, there are so many kinds of vaporizers around, i think it's time to make a point of the Healthiest way to vaporize.
I know that vaporisation is not 100% safe, but i think it's always interesting to know the safest way.
And i really need your advices & your points of view !!!
There is also an interesting thread at http://www.fuckcombustion.com/viewtopic.php?id=1999&p=1 about healthiness of vapes, but i hope this one will be more 'global'.
So Let's debate about the 4 mains parts of the vaporization and how safe they are :
1 ==> THE HEATING ELEMENT <== :
Ceramic / Glass (like Vriptech) / Light (Halogen/LED) / Slicon Carbide (like VaporGenie) / Infrared (like the Oracle).
The vriptech VHW seems to be often named, but do you think it's the healtiest? And What about other processes ? Tell me your thoughts.
2 ==> VAPORISATION TEMPERATURE <== :
There is a lot of infos here at FC about Temperatures Vaporisation and their effects. But nothing about the harmfulness of Temps.
At what temperature the vapor become REALLY harmful/nocive or begin to release pyrolytic products ? Got an idea ?
StoneMonkey says that when the vapor is white (under fluorescent light), there is benzene inside (not really good). The vapor must be 'blue' clear.... What do you think of that ?
Where is the frontier between vaporisation and combustion ? Does this frontier exist exactly ?
3 ==> THE ENTIRE AIR PATH <== :
Some vaporizers like the ExtremeQ (i have one) seems to have an air path not very 'serious' : the air passes on plastic, metal, cables,
before touching herbs. I imagine that Arizer company will tell something like "Don't be scared, at these temps, there is no problems, etc ...."
So What do you think of these path? Do you know paths more direct on other vapes ?
Of course, models like The Cloud seems to be promising.
And at the end of the path, do you think Bags are safers than whip ?
4 ==> WATER FILTRATION <==
Ok last and big part here.
Like of all of you (i think), after 4 days of vaping, i have this sticky particles on my vapes/elbow, etc... :
[img=FluxBB bbcode test]http://i1134.photobucket.com/albums/m611/0675477985/Stick.jpg[/img]
Always astonishing, when we know that the vapor has already travelled through a screen with very thin holes .....
So the first BIG question i'am asking is : all this 'resin' should be filtered at maximum or should i inhale it at maximum ?!
Or should i collect it AND smoking/cooking/eating,etc..it, like people do on other threads ? ( see http://www.fuckcombustion.com/viewtopic.php?id=975&p=1=)
At first view, i think it will probably not good to get this sticked to my lungs...
But some people says it's ok (see the link at the top), it's only the condensation of the THC on the glass, and not harmful for us.
If i choose to go to the way of 'maximum filtration', i have to choose a piece like ""multiple stages levels bongs with percs/pillar/waffle/dome, etc.....""
and damm, all these new systems seems to filter very well, but i am wondering if too much filtration can reducts effects.
I have read the famous thread (and the study) of effect of water filtration on THC (see http://www.fuckcombustion.com/viewtopic.php?id=508), but the conclusion "Water filters out more THC than it does Tar" is not very interesting. The study compares Vaporisation with smoke. But Vaporisation doesn't produce TAR, so yes maybe waters filters THC, but how many % of THC is LOST BY COMBUSTION ?????!!! So this study is not very informative....
I have a little sensation that for the same amount of weed, i feel much effect/higher with bag or whip, than if i take the same amount of vapor filtered with my 2 stages glass bong.
What is your feeling ? My throat prefers the cooled down & moisten filtered vapor, but my brain prefers the not filtered straght vapor ..... grrrr .....
So yo have understand my question : can too much filtration can decrease the potency of the vapor ?
Wow ! If you have read all this, i think you are interesting and we can discuss ! I will wait for your comments & opinions ....
