In short though, use ISOpropyl alcohol to clean the heater. The 'how you do it' varies depending on how often you expect to clean it, and how long you want to keep the black coating on (I've found that a few ISO soaks can lead to the coating peeling off...not a bad thing IMO, as it looks neat, but may be undesirable by others!)

Have you messaged the Dr. via their own website, or reached out via phone? While he is quite responsive here, like some other vape manufacturers, the best way to get a hold of any vape manufacturer would be through their provided channels of contact
I've been eyeing this for a while, but I'm holding out for the Dr.'s new accessory that is supposed to be revealed in the near future! I've been using the dome from my mini DI rig, along with an o-ring, to act as a globeI picked up a globe, and this is a nifty little add on. I really like it.

You're welcome! I've been in your shoes many times before...It's easy to think FC is the best way to go about most things, as it's a pretty kick-ass place, and shit does get taken care of around here! However, I forget at times, like you did, that sometimes we can skip the FC step, and get straight to those we're seeking out!
Me TOO! I love my Hydratube, and other glass...but this gives the best hit, aside from the built in mouthpiece...and it doesn't rob any meds with a long airpath for claim to buildup.I really like being able to see the vapor in the dome.
I just finished vaping a little Ogre from the DDghost...still using this thing all the time! It won't replace the Cloud/Flowers at home, but it's sure replaced the nail and torch! I'm only using my oil rig with the DDghost now

Quick question, iso soaked my atmoizer for the first time last night, coil didn't get as clean as I had hoped even in 99% iso. Let it dry for 12+ hours, went to fire it up and nothing was heating. Has anyone else had this problem after cleaning? Its my only coil, I entered the buyfc code but for some reason only got the one coil? Hopefully it gets sorted out...I need to buy a 5 pack anyway.

Bummer on both it not getting clean, and it now not working. I just ISO soaked two of my heaters last night, one of them for at least the 6/7th time, and the other for the 4th. Both of them have been soaked to the point that the coating has come off. I don't see how ISO could negatively effect the coil at all...
I will say, these things don't last forever, and by chance, some seem to have a shorter life expectancy than others. This isn't DDghost specific, but all over the board with attys AFAIK. I will say, I have dropped my pen a few times now, twice on pavement from my face level, and several times on the desk, etc, from animals knocking it over. Between that, and several aggressive ISO soaks (I probably shouldn't, but I shake the container so the heater moves back and forth, not so carefully) and haven't had any heaters fail, or diminish in performance. I even go so far as to dry out my coil (after air drying a bit, and sucking the last of the water out that I can) by pulsing the power while it sizzles away. I think if I could kill one of these coils cleaning it, I would have by now.
I definitely feel for you, as I know what it's like to be without a way to medicate! Hopefully you can get this resolved quickly!

When I've loaded more than what will absorb into the wick/coil, and the rest gets down to the bottom, it will still vape, but not like it does when there is oil in the wick/coil. Once it gets so there is just oil in the bottom, and none really left in the wick (several hits really at most) you will have to scoop up the oil from the bottom to get the same kind of hits. IMO it's better to just keep fresh oil in one of the blue balls that come with the pen, or whatever you carry meds in, and add a dab +/-, every time I medicate, rather than let a whole bunch get 'degraded' and have to scoop it up, essentially leaving a little behind.
If you look back through the past several pages, you'll see I'm a proponent of both LAYG (load as you go) usage, as well as load it up and go for a while usage; however, I still much prefer LAYG for the taste, efficiency, and lack of mess. IMO it's still simpler than dabbing, in that I can load up a few hits onto the coil, take a few moments to pulse the power to let it absorb, and then pocket it, or hit it. Same time spent loading as I'd spend heating my Ti and taking a dab essentially, and this can be hit discretely whenever wherever. I find when I over load, or let it get down to the bottom in general, I spend more time scooping up less than tasty, slightly used oil onto the coil, than I do taking the less than great hits that it produces from oil that is sitting in the bottom well. So, I load as I go...but both do work!
it's just a pain to bring extra felony material with me. I'd rather just load extra stored in the cart than get a charge with the oil. also loading into the coil is not discrete in public
fuck my life.. it came today and i loaded up a dab and it just wouldnt hit. when i try to take a hit the button glows blue and after about 15 seconds it blinks 3 times. fuck fuck fuck ive been waiting for this thing. the atomizer might not be working or somehow the battery isnt giving it power but the charging light is green when i plug in.. same dab is still on the wick waiting to be hit

no, ive been waiting for it and just got it today. the website said id have to send the full thing back. ive been waiting too long, i want to try tinkering before i give up. im just going to leave the battery on for the 1.5 hours it said to charge and pray it works when i try it.

I am in the same boat as you Purpl3. I think the Dr. said a new prototype. I interpreted this to mean a new style atomizer. If this product is not a new style atomizer or if it's a globe atomizer i would place my order now as i am really interested in the normal style. But i know as soon as i place my order the new product will be announced so i am trying to hold out.

I'd be curious as well! I've noticed the over all quality of my coil degrading over time. It now no longer cleans back to silver, but more a chalky looking color. It doesn't look like my Ti nail does after being put through the same elements (ISO/Water/extreme heat). Maybe it's the nature of Ti when this small/warped? Or is it possible that we're dealing with a less than great grade of Ti?
I don't detect any bad flavor, etc, when I dry hit my coil after a cleaning, however, the coil itself looks like it is degrading, or oxidizing. The wick, however, comes back to white every time.
I have a hunch its grade 5 Ti, which is not pure Ti. And your Ti nail is most likely grade 2. Apparently no batteries of this style are capable of heating grade 2. But id like to be proven wrong.
It is grade 5 titanium, Grade 5 is the only one that would actually conduct and bend as a coil.
