Being as these things are so useful to us with a number of different vaporizers, I thought that we could compile links and reviews to available claisens, therefore making it easy to pick one up without skimming through the various vaporizers/glass threads. I would appreciate if all of the posts here stay mostly informational with links and pictures, but general Claisen discussion is welcome!

A decent amount of research led me to my choice. I can easily use a finger as carb cap over the side male joint or use a low volume boiling flask as a carb cap(5.50$ http://www.ebay.com/itm/Labglass-Gl...963?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c64bb2f4b ) it also works great for hydrotubes when used upside down too.. and all of my different vaporizer setups. I like this one so much that I bought a backup. and at 13$ why not..

Great thread idea, this was deserving of a bump.

I'm currently waiting on legit claisen which are still in shipping.
However I realized with some janky adapter madness I could try out the experience now and see if it was something I wanted to actually purchase.

Now obviously the top is not not all the same fitting and it's not far enough to fit to things conveniently but the proof of concept is there and if you have lotsa adapters and drop-downs handy you just may be able to pull it off.

More examples to follow:

A drop-down and reclaimer combo adapter is perfect for this as it gives some more space to work with and fit stuff in.

Combine with another drop-down and flip: (once again I lack the adapters or specific drop-downs to make them all the same style fitting)

But depending on what glass, devices and adapters you have at your disposal you may be able to try it out now.

Obviously 2+ adapters has WAY more potential for accident or broken equipment, so this really should only be done for testing purposes if you have the adapters on hand already. If you are gonna go buy something just get the right equipment.

This was used a few times before I took it apart and called it a night.

Lo and Behold! The transformative power of Vapor.
Just got mine less than a month ago and I love it! Is this considered a 'standard' Claisen adapter or is that due to familiarity? :D I've seen a few on the EQ thread already.

It is stable and thick enough for me to have my EQ and Flowermate 1.0 work together. Like having a window pane into the world of vapor or say the mixing of two vapors.:cool:

I do have a special plug that I can use as a carb when just using one of the vapes. Plus a stopper If I don't wish to use a carb. All the bases covered for a two way for me. (so far anyway. :brow:)

After seeing these beautiful rigs I had to get a claisen for myself. I've always been a huge fan of Corning Pyrex, and have wanted my own piece. So I managed to scoop up the last 90 degree that Amazon was selling for far cheaper than anywhere else that would ship to me. Some companies wanted $450 for a Pyrex 14mm three way?!?!

Ok, fluid dynamics is a thing.

No matter how you tune the vapes or what glass its on, the more direct patch of draw will be taken.

This is why sometimes you'll have a bong with un-even cut percs and one slit pulls more bubbles than others.

To this end the claisen is not the ideal item for our purposes, as with 2 identical vapes / nails the more straight path will take a bit higher priority and you will get un-even performance from each device.

A more ideal setup is one that has the distance from the connection and tubing as identical as possible.

To that end I went out searching recently, and once I got the item in hand it's no question more even performance between the 2 vapes.

The U adapter. Buy It NOW, its 1/2 off sale till the end of the month I do have it and it is notably better than a claisen.

On DHGate here is a similar item. I am concerned it is not far enough apart for 2 vapes to fit tho, fuck it bought 1 anyways to test.

I've been using this as a carb adapter and then realised I could add an adapter to make it pluggable by a finger. I find that more comfortable than lifting the carb cap. As a 18mm female is hard to plug, the 18mm male to 14mm female helps. 18male-18male is even better and 18male-14male could be the best.

This item has 2 joints, but it does NOT fit 2 nanos. Perhaps 2 tiny vapes, also makes a good carb adapter.

But overall its not big enough for my needs. I would recommend the U adapter pictured In the post above for the same cost essentially.

My Mighty and Herbie have pretty much the same draw resistance so they both are cooked at about the same time. I love my Pyrex claisen for those special times (or painful times) when I want to get wrecked.

They say "limited quantities", have the same in 14mm and some drop-downs too, as well as other things.

I'll probably add a picture of the full setup. But it doesn't stand up without tipping forward yet, at least not with the 2 e-nanos on top (straight tube w/ U adapter in downstem). I may stop at the local store and pick up a 45 degree adapter, I think that might shift the weight enough that it'll stand on its own and let me take a picture easier.

The 2nd 18mm e-nano GonG came yesterday. So far, I've just tried it with the 1 18mm e-nano GonG on one side and a 14mm GonG and reducer on the other, so hopefully it'll be evened out and even more free-flowing once i try it with the matched 18mm GonG setup.

Also, the new downstems are coming in the mail today, supposedly. :D
