Hey there
I'm very new here, I've been active in other vaporization communities (Mainly my country's and r/Vaporents).
My name is Dean and I'm a 20 year old programmer, except my true passion is not programming - As much as I'm good at it, and I do like it, I have never been passionate about anything more than I am about cannabis and vaporization.

Pointless introduction aside, I have decided I want to try and create vaporizers, and I've been trying to come up with an idea for a while now.
Enter The Capsule!
Finally, an idea began to sprout in my brain, and oh boy, is it awesome, just one teeny tiny little problem - I have no idea how to execute it!
I'm not a glass blower, an electric engineer, or.. Well anything really....
Just looking up "Heater circuit" in Google Images was enough for me to realize I'm in WAY over my head.

Now, please be very realistic - Do I have a chance of pulling this off?
How harsh is the market? How long should something like this take?
The last thing I want is to spend months upon months trying to develop something, allthewhile emptying my savings - Only for it to fail and give me no income whatsoever....
I know it's probably not the nicest thing to think about earnings right off the bat, but a man's gotta make a living :/

I have a pretty good idea of where I'm going with it, with many concept drawings I made for it, but I'm not sure whether I should downright reveal the idea, or talk about it 'mysteriously' - There are many patent thefts in the world, and I wouldn't want something I "invented" to be created by someone else
So instead, I am requesting your "blind" support, if you know anything in the matter, I will be forever grateful, and I promise that if the idea were to become a reality, anyone that helped me will receive a model, or at least a good discount for it

Anyway, time for actual progress - Can you guys please help and direct me how I can build a convection heater type of thing?
Excluding the bowl and the mouthpiece, the vaporizers itself should be a cylinder the size of 4x18650 batteries, standing in a 2x2 formation - 2 actual batteries, and the rest of the space for the circuitry and the heating body

Not to discourage you, but to start any business with the thought you would make meaningful money in the first 3 years (in many cases, more) is not very realistic. This is especially true of the dry herb vaporizer business, it is competitive and there are plenty that have come and gone. Just check my signature, two different companies I supported gone. How many left in my signature will be there in 10 years? Small business is tough enough, but what about the regalatory challenges, right from the beginning that's a significant impedament to growth.

That aside, I love Cannabis and dry herb Vaporizers a hell of a lot more than what I do for a career and wish you the very best of luck! I will enjoy following your journey.

i've been looking at this for a number of years - well, since 2009 - and i have a thread with all my ideas - link is in my signature. all glass vapor path, microprocessor for temperature control.

i use a capsule - it is a flat-bottom borosilicate vial, 12mm diameter by 35mm long - about $0.15 each. details are in the thread.

i'm 71 and also a programmer (uh, software engineer, that is) … you need a prototype … build it and they will buy.

I can't help but be overwhelmed when I see circuitry, let alone try designing something with it....

I should add though that I do know a lot about cannabis and Vaporization, the whole process and how everything is built, even (mostly) from what material it will be created - I just don’t know how to actually create it.

I know, watched his video as soon as it uploaded, makes me pretty bummed I didn’t pre order a G43

It’s not going to be a main income, more of a side project, some hand made vaporizers that hopefully people will love. I’m hellbent on creating that, I’ll deal with financials later
