Discontinued The Baker: By Vaporblunt

Drs1685

What!?!?
The baker is now on sale at the vapor blunt website for anyone interested, still not a lot of info though

llama man posted some info that turned me off (one page back), but that was a test unit and they may have made some improvements.

I am staying off the fence on this one and not giving it consideration till there are some real customer testimonials.

@Drs1685 My friend sent me a video of him using it for concentrate. Looks awesome. He told me its super conservative with your concentrate too. I'm really stoked to get one for myself.

Actually all of those products are available for purchase from China these days so that may explain it.
This product seems interesting but why would any FC member buy from this company these days? TRVB simply vanished once problems arose with the ppn.
Exactly, I am completely lost for words at all the attention this thread gets. This vendor have been so ridiculously poor in their response to the many issues with the PNP. They have offered me literally the worst service I have ever received from a vape manufacturer (seriously, that is a feat), they disappeared from here part way through trying to fix the melting PonG issue, and still have yet to deliver the promised pgong to PNP users months and months after promising that they would be replaced for free. All this after denying the multiple design flaws with their units (in the face of bajillions of pictures posted by FC members showing the design flaws in full colour and perfectly clear focus!).

I have as bad VAS as any of you guys, but this company, IMO does not deserve a cent from anyone on this board.

Also, wtf, are TVB seriously using PES PonGs on the baker again???? The baker is an AC powered plug in unit capable of higher temperatures isn't it!? Run away people!!!!!!!!

Lol! That's what i'm trying to tell y'all.....the part where you load the oil is surrounded by the same thin cheap plastic used on the pnp but its going all the way up to 700 degrees this time.....I just don't see anything positive coming from this

I really wish that I was able to leave those photos up for yall of the entire unit completely disassembled....if you felt the materials and saw how it was constructed I dont think any of you would be interested....

Ive had at least 20+ vapes, (keep in mind that this was a "tester" unit) but it was the only vape Ive ever gotten that I felt like I had to protect it. I would compare it to thin china glass, I felt that one good fall from about 3-5 feet, even on carpet, would damage the unit.

It felt strange to me though because this is basically just a plug in pinnacle but the heater was EASILY overwhelmed if I ripped it at my normal speed. Id get a 1-2 second milk and then whispy vapor and I like to take at least 10-15 second pulls so by the time I was done taking my drag there was nothing coming out.

I think I tried the "dab" feature out with claim but felt strange hitting it because of the 700 degree temp with all that plastic didn't make me feel like I was making a "healthy" choice at all like my other vapes do.

Keep in mind Im kind of biased against PNP after seeing the way that they have handled their business and support for their products. I personally will NEVER touch another pinnacle product again and would recommend the same for everyone here as well.

Do you still have your unit?

I still have unit but its completely taken apart, piece by piece, and disconnected electronically....I doubt any one would want it.

I'm interested in if you can create this plastic issue you are concerned about with your unit. Could you reassemble and turn it on for an extended period of time at high temps to see if any of it degrades?

EDIT: In your internals pics post that I removed I think it looked like there was considerable more insulation between the bowl and the plastic. Am I right?

I could try but I didn't document the disassembly so I may have trouble putting it back together but if I get it back together ill leave it on as long as possible at max temp. leaving it on high isn't too big of a concern for me. My worry is that the pnp plastic melts because of the hot air passing through the pong, not from being kept on so unless i'm hitting the baker at 700 I don't see the experiment being the same and that's just something I won't ever do.

I get you...it's the giant pong you are concerned about, and that only gets heated up when inhaling.

I'm worried about the pong but my main concern was the plastic threaded part that the pongs and glass dome connect to. Its a very thin plastic and before the vapor gets to you the hot air will pass over it. From the feel and look of it its much more flimsy than the pnp and that is my main concern, the pong comes second

Damn, I like sticksnstones would love to see someone stress test a baker, even if it is a test unit. I will happily contribute assistance in the reassembly process, being someone who is intimately familiar with the electronics in all of my electric vapes :D

Like i also mentioned on Massdrop, anyone willing to risk buying from VB after all the broken promises and horrible customer service on the PnP should reread the thread obviously. That's why I sold my PnP before it broke. Especially now since they are MIA from that thread, and haven't even posted on this thread since the whole mistaken shipping of a prototype or Beta Baker or whatever it turned out to be. Plenty other quality vapes with excellent CS made of wood not plastic ,lol to need to waist time on this IMHO.
And one final point. The Massdrop says 1 year warranty, we all know from VB's other devices, that they deny or ignore warranty claims of obvious defects within a few months of purchase.
Or they try to charge more for repairs than theyoyokid, which we all know is a Authorized Ebay seller. That is unheard of and very puzzling at least in my experience.
But to Each there Own. Good Luck!

Im going to enjoy reading the massdrop comments on this once people recieve the units. Itll be GOLD JERRY GOLD!!!

It seems people are already suggesting that people spend their money on the e-nano which I would agree with. Safer materials, smaller package, no plastic, and almost 100 bucks cheapter (at massdrop prices).

Has Vaporblunt ever released a product that was a success? I don't believe so. They seem to be very underwhelming in terms of performance. I'm sure TRVB will eventually surface with a bagful of excuses but it is hard to ever see these guys getting one cent from me.

VaporBlunt chooses what they think is under warranty. If this unit is made with the same plastic as the Pinnacle Pro, buyer beware. They have stopped answering any of my emails. I wanted a battery replacement and haven't gotten any response. I guess they are busy with the Baker.

When investing in a medical device to sometimes very fragile individuals, they need to have a unit that they can depend on. Also to have access to a phone number for customer service, and emails that will be answered in a timely manner or just answered.

the baker is made out of the EXACT materials that the pnp is made out of. All it is IMO is a plug in PNP with a bigger heater. While that might sound like a positive to some, trust me its not. The vapor output of the baker could not keep up with my draw technique and would either stop producing vapor because it got too cold or produce the whispiest of vapors (this doesent happen with ANY of my other vapes). For a second it would be nice and thick and then nothing.

Im also curious why with ALL my vaporizers, even if I vape the bud as dark as I can I still get a nice blonde looking "resin". Never clogged my frit.

When I would vape with the pnp or baker it would produce a nasty brown resin that would clog up the frit bubb Ive got. Leaving me to question if there was some other material being vaporized with the hit. Its not a temp thing either because Ive done extensive testing.

This is all IMO but with the burning, I just smoked 20 blunts, sensation that the PNP gave me, and the 800 degree temps and exposed plastic of the baker I just dont feel "safe" using vaporblunt products. I for one will never touch one again, even if its a gift.

Keep in mind for the past few weeks Ive been in DICK mode and will speak my mind about anything.

If for any reason it is deemed that I can post the pics of the unit completely taken apart I will gladly do so, so that everyone can see what they might potentially be buying. Now that it is publicly released I dont see it as a problem but understand if the admins dont want me to post it. Like carolking said though I would NEVER in my life recommend this to a medical user who already has health problems because both units made my lungs feel like I was doing something wrong to them.

A lot of hate in this thread, maybe justified. A couple of clarifications so we don't stray too much...

The PNP was a great success for about a year, so technically they can launch a product well.

The water tools weren't counterfeit as they were licensed by vxl.

I'll figure out when the pics can be appropriately posted.
