This is something that I've been thinking about since I first saw the design of the Baker. It seems at the moment that the only way to dab is through a whip and when dabbing we're working with the higher temp ranges of the unit. I'm sure by the time the air hits the tubing it is below the 700 degrees but I'm still pretty sure it's a bit high for latex tubing as the highest temp rating I've seen for latex tubing is 185 degrees but maybe there's higher temp stuff I haven't seen.

The seventh floor tubing is vinyl tubing and the high temp vinyl tubing that I've seen is rated around 200 degrees.

Here's a link to silicone tubing with the highest temp rating that I've found to date @ 500 degrees ...

well im pretty sure the tubing thats included is fine, itll be better if there was a heavy duty tube, my tubing by the glass dome with the ====0 that connects to the tube its bending and seems to have visible white bending lines?

That thread does have a lot of useful info but I think with the high temp range of this unit the temp ratings of the tubing should be something that is considered and all vtac says in that thread is "it's assumed that the tubing that comes with a vaporizers isn't exposed to high enough temperatures to emit harmful toxins" and I didn't see much talk of temp ratings.

Maybe I'm just overly paranoid ...

The included tubing is great if used for short connecting pieces at low temps. The PN WT doesn't have a whole lot of give when its sitting on the provided glass joint and about 2 inches of tube. For longer distance needs, the included tubing is a nightmare. Good call on shopping better whip solutions!

no point of using the WT or anytime of bong/bubbler for it when using for oil. using water filtration for it kills most of the taste. just hit it straight from the tube and its just awesome.

Thanks for the update. I don't feel I will really know what this thing is capable of until I get some better glass. This is turning out to be an expensive hobby! I hope medical mark get his Baker soon. I'm anxious to hear his input.

so if i ever send my baker back for repairs do i need to send it back in the original box? i mean usually when i get something new i can care less about the box and just trash it.

So, my rheumatoid arthritis has been flaring pretty hard lately. That's a story for a different thread. Anywho, low temp and even combustion were just not giving me any relief. So today I've been messing with the high temp settings :) I packed just a small amount in the flower bullet and dropped it in at about 650. I used the glass dome, whip, and pn wt. It was quite an experience. Since I've really only ever used VB products I've never experienced vaping at that temp. Long story short I got great results and I'm looking forward to being able to sleep soon!

maybe just get a heavy indica strain? like gdp or some of that purple kush. busted my ass on concrete floors and fights. they were the only two strains that help with the pain, gdp kicks you in the face and put you to sleep, i was barley able to keep my eyes open while smokin gdp in a blunt. also how were you able to vape flowers at 650, im pretty sure over 500 you combust.

Yea the lines blur between boiling and burning that's for sure. I guess the trick is that for a second or two you get the vapor. Whatever it does after that I don't care because I'm not gonna inhale that nasty stuff. This method is not really effective with the oil bullet. I made that mistake once today. It was terrible. Really hot air flowing steadily through compacted material seems to be the recipe. I don't use very much material and I use a tight pack. The fact that this thing is primarily convection has a lot to do with the efficacy of this method. That and when the hit is done, it's done. Best to turn it off and dump it out immediately or it is going to ignite and and smell the whole room up.

I'm really new to all of this so I really didn't consider the fact that this may not be 'according to Hoyle' vaporization. I just know I got all of the good and less of the bad pretty quickly. One of my prescriptions lapsed over the weekend. I don't have access to multiple varieties of organic medicine (note my location, I'm lucky to have reliable and steady access to it at all). So I'm kinda just dealing with what I have till I can call the doctor Monday.

I guess my point is I've put myself in a compromised position with my meds. I'm having to scramble for ways to deal for about another day. Best thing by far I've found this morning is that my pinnacle water tower is secretly the nicest chillum I'll ever own. yea its combustion but fuckin' a if it doesn't help. The baker has been a blessing too because most of the time I just can't tolerate smoke. Talk about being in the right place at the right time!

got my dealer to deliver me an half of gdp in 30 minutes, so ill let you know how it is in the baker in an hour or two tops. maybe three.

I agree ,some type of gong or pong to dab thru the water tools would be amazing.
The titanium bullet works very well, just be careful not to draw to hard as it will pull the bullet up and out of place making me think it can be to HOT to be touching the surrounding threaded part of the baker.
I quickly used my hemostats so it all looked okay, The titanium bullet would be cool if it was like a domeless nail where it had a whole in the center to allow air to better sweep up the vapor, but the center hole would be raised passed the dabbing area to prevent any leaking.The hole or air tube in the center would help in not pulling up the titanium bullet out of its heat chamber if drawing to hard.
This just a theory of course not sure if it would work or make any difference.:shrug:

GDP is "Grand Daddy Purple" or "Granddaddy Purple"
I dont have any new vids, as I have had remodeling in my building and the all my gear is put away except a portable and the baker to take to my buddies house till this madness is over. I haven't had a chance to do any new vids but I am hoping to put together something soon. I have been using the baker with a lot of flower but my flower supply ran out & I am waiting till my buddy's crop is ready (curing as we speak last I heard):nod::clap:, since running out I have been on a heavy concentrate kick & the baker fills the that void and I dont need to bring my torch and full on gear. I do hope they come out with a GONG OR PONG to dab thru a water piece or The VB Water Tube's.:rockon:
I apologize things have been crazy, but i will have something for you guys soon.:\
