Breaking News!
Letter Today to congress no new information in the Hillary email from Weiner's computer. They have been combing over thousands of emails and correspondence. Trump will say that they got to Comey. The system is still rigged.

What damage did this do to the early voting for Hillary? Her momentum was speeding downhill then went to almost a screeching halt 9 days ago. The FBI made a huuuuge mistake doing that. They can't do stuff like that, it's not OK with the American people. What did it do to the down ballots for the Democrats. What about a do over? It's not going to happen. Plus it's a Sunday afternoon. Almost too late IMO. I think Comey will need to resign. In my life I have never seen such manipulation of the voter. This is criminal.

Hopefully Hillary had a big enough lead to not worry about it.

Trump has been repeating that the FBI has reopened the FBI investigation on Hillary. LIE, LIE, LiE is all this man does. Bill Maher was pissed Friday night on his show. He said that the press needs to do their jobs. So much that the press should have talked about regarding Trump during this whole past year.:bang:

Edit
I'm hearing a really great speech by Hillary in Ohio on CNN. She hasn't mentioned about the FBI information to the crowd yet. These people haven't heard it. I will assume that she will mention it. At the very end of her speech would be perfect.

CNN said that the campaign isn't going to mention the FBI email letter to congress. That's interesting.

I feel as though whenever Donald Trump says something it takes a team of people to try improve what he said and to clarify "what he really meant was..." because convincing anyone to try and believe the words that actually come out of Donald Trump's mouth is a pretty ludicrous proposition.

It reminds me of the emperor that has no clothes but no one wants to tell him so.

I will say his drug legalization stance is the only silver lining I can see. If somehow trump is elected and the world does end at least I'll have the necessary drugs to enjoy it... :spliff:
The dude speaks in lyrics and requires a RapGenius. I'm no Trump shill don't even make fractions of a cent for posting like Clinton Shill Bullies.

The ACA is the 'used car' of the health care movement in my eyes. When a used car starts to unravel it goes like this:

The alternator goes and it will cost $200 to repair....well...where am I gonna get a car for $200? So I fix it. A week later the radiator starts leaking and the fix is $250. Well where am I gonna get a car for $250? So I fix it. 2 Months later the brakes go and it'll cost $300 for the repair. Well ... where am I gonna get a car for $300? So I fix it. This keeps up for years till you realize you're still driving an old beaten up used car that's never gonna run right and could have gotten a brand new one for what you put into it.

Nevermind...............

Then why in the hell did ya bring it up in the first place? :goon: So much damage already done. Many people already voted against Hillary based upon the reopening of this case and for those that haven't yet, how many will get this news before they vote. When it was first reopened, it changed the polls BIGTIME.

I mean, I don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth 'cause this officially closes the case but....... WTF !!!!!

This election is the biggest clusterfuck of an election that I or anyone else has ever witnessed. It will go down as such and be printed in all of the poli-sci books from now and evermore.

Well yes, this is where I agree wholeheartedly; removing the profit motive from the ACA would be the much-harder, long-term fix. That would require a real solution like bernie wanted, but he's done.

For now anyways. His organization continues to pile up donor cash, and advocate

I think you have to chip away at stuff like free universal healthcare, I don't know what bernie's policies are but I do think the NHS over here is something I'd like to keep, it does have flaws and mistakes have been made along the way but it makes absolute sense to provide low cost healthcare for those that can't afford it on so many levels :-)

In 2016 I think the major issue for healthcare across the planet is price gouging, anywhere there is public money available there seems to be a lack of value for money and the private sector thinks that we (the customers) exist to serve them (the business), imho there needs to be a rebalance in the costs for healthcare and they should be adjusted down to sensible levels that shows they value life and have real humanity and compassion.

I have absolutely no problem with companies making a profit, however I do have a problem with companies holding a gun to peoples heads for money which is what some healthcare seems to amount to.

I firmly believe we needed a public option with the affordable care act. Then it wouldn't have been so bad.
One huge blow is already in the platform; killary wants to reduce the entry age for medicare eligibility to 55, which would put our already-functional socialist medical insurance program firmly in the grasp of those who most need it. Next we undo the absurd no-bargaining for medicare drugs clause that dubya passed.

Yes, I admit that was pretty much all I needed to hear.
I was already more than a bit put off from the primaries fiasco.
There was no way that I could ever vote for drumpf, so plan a it was.

Killary has made a smart yet faustian bargain, where we will keep our middle-eastern adventures going, and we get to keep our health care while hopefully it will get better. But I remember when one of our two major political parties was actually against war, it wasn't that long ago. What about the cause that the brave, yet peacefully protesting students of jackson & kent state martyred themselves for? Did Jeffrey Miller (age 20), Allison Krause (age 19), William Schroeder (age 19), Sandra Scheuer (age 20), Phillip Gibbs (age 21) and James Earl Green (age 17 and a student at a nearby high school) get shot in vain? I sure hope not:

On April 30, 1970, people could only see darkness when Nixon announced the invasion of Cambodia. This was the opposite of what people wanted to hear. Protests erupted on campuses that had not had them in the past, like Kent State. Two students were murdered and 12 were injured. Those two massacres by the U.S. government on U.S. soil were the beginning of the end of the U.S. slaughter of the people of Vietnam.

Clinton winning votes in key states from Hispanic voters while undecided voters are leaning her way as well. Also apparently economic markets respond well to positive news about Hillary's email investigation.

Not only would he vote but “esperamos que la presidenta gane" - Spanish for "we hope Madam President wins."

"As for Trump, he is trailing, and undecideds are signaling that they aren’t going his way. Without a miracle, it looks Donald Trump’s odds of victory are decreasing as election day approaches."

There may yet be hope. ;)

Reno, Nevada (CNN)The chairman of the Nevada Republican Party argued Saturday during a rally here for Donald Trump that polling locations stayed open late to accommodate long lines of voters "so a certain group could vote."

The chairman, Michael McDonald, was referring to a polling location in Clark County, which is 30% Hispanic and the county in which Las Vegas is located. The polling location stayed open to allow voters who were already in line -- many of whom waited more than two hours, according to local reports -- to cast their ballots.

"Last night, in Clark County, they kept a poll open 'til 10 o'clock at night so a certain group could vote," McDonald said in introductory remarks at the rally. "The polls are supposed to close at 7. This was kept open until 10. Yeah, you feel free right now? You think this is a free and easy election? That's why it's important."

Dan Kulin, a spokesperson for the county, said no early no early voting stations extended their closing times. They did, however, process voters who were in line at closing time to allow as many people to vote as possible.

The latest vote was cast at 10:10 p.m. at Silverado Ranch, which closed at 8 p.m. and had been experiencing about a two-hour delay when CNN visited the station.

A message left with the Trump campaign was not immediately returned.

If you are in line when the polls close you have every right to vote. The voter poll workers did their job and stayed open. Maybe they will need to make more voting stations available. I am so tired of Trump and all his supporters trying to divide our country. It's reckless and irresponsible.

Maybe polls should be open 24 before an election.
What's wrong with voting by mail? It's very and simple. I voted 2 weeks ago.
Good luck cannabis on the ballots in your state.

People should boycott all of Trump's hotels and products.

A "certain group"? So he couldn't even muster up the courage to say Hispanics?

Ya know, Trump keeps stating about how the silent majority is going to come out and vote for him without even fathoming the concept that that silent majority are also the Hispanics who are coming out in droves to vote for Hillary. They are going to have a major say in who is going to be our next president.

So I have been seeing this a lot lately. People who voted for Clinton in the primary, and are now complaining about Clinton's baggage, acting like Sanders would have been a better option to win even though they never voted for him. No sympathy from me.

Well Farid's take is that McCain or Romney would have done awful fucking things to the middle class, but CNN Fareed doesn't care about the middle class, he cares about ratings and viewers. I think the media is afraid that the political status quo is changing, and that they have been exposed as a negative force that has been fighting against this change. On the left and the right, the media has been exposed as supporting the "establishment" politics, and Americans (on all sides) are sick of it.

Hey, just because you and Zacharia phonetically share the same first name is no reason to dis the guy, eh? ;)

On another note, wtf is up with this? http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/07/middleeast/syria-raqqa-us-turkey-plan/index.html?adkey=bn
Turkey and the US are going to jointly govern a city in Syria? Of course, Russia and Syria will have no problems with this.

Obama inherited a financial crisis that he successfully navigated and pulled us away from the brink. The next president is going to inherit another type of crisis and the question is, will they be able to pull us away from the brink as well. Scary times............:uhoh:.

Turkey has been posturing hard lately, in Iraq even moreso than Syria. The Turkish operation in northern Syria has been done with some level of coordination with Russia and the Syrian government, but their relationship with Iraq is awful. To the point where the Iraqis gov said they would have Iraqi troops fire on Turkish troops if they continued to advance.

The Syrian gov had a good relationship with Turkey, until Erdogan put all his eggs in one basket when he started supplying Syrian opposition as well as turning a blind eye towards ISIS. Now that the Syrian revolution has failed, and Assad has remained president, Turkey has been trying to save face, and has been acting more civil towards Syria and Russia. Interestingly, Syria has no desire for conflict with Turkey, as Turkey's existence on the border keeps Kurdish separatists busy from trying to carve a State out of parts of Syria and Turkey.

How is this relevant to the election? Well obviously Syria is relevent, but even if that conflict has started to die down by the next presidency, a conflict in Turkey has been brewing for some time now, and how the next president reacts to such conflict will be very important. Turkey is a close ally of the US, but Erdogan is guilty of the same crimes we invade countries for. Even though I am personally opposed to the politics of Erdogan, I would not support a civil war in Turkey, as we have seen what good that has done Syria or Libya.

If you want to know the opinion of a really smart, really well spoken US Special Forces operator on US action in Syira and Iraq watch this video. Sheds some light on why our servicemen are so disgusted by Clinton and Trump:
