Texas Ruling Means Smokable Hemp Can Be Sold In State But Must Be Manufactured Elsewhere
An appeals panel in Texas issued a mixed judgment Thursday in a lawsuit challenging the state’s ban on smokable hemp. Regulators may enforce a ban on the processing and manufacture of products intended for smoking or vaping, the court ruled, but they cannot prevent such products made elsewhere from being sold in the state.

From my small county Texas perspective.... it's all politics... from what I understand.... the majority of jurisdictions, and all the major cities... less than 2 oz's is a class c misdemeanor. A ticket and a court date for a $200 fine. Click bait press, IMO, feeds the shitshow. Fully legal smoke, would crash prices like Colorado and NM (thus big biz mota wants the conflict)... Fully illegal fuels state jails. Texas has amassed a rather large state jail system, put in place by Little George Bush when he was the grubinator ...
Next Legislative session is in '25.... bills are filed one more time... don't expect a legalization bill to hit the full floor. Much less get to Abbott.
