Those CE5 clearomizers are everywhere and do have replaceable heating coils. They are primarily used for nicotine liquid. I am not sure how well they would work with concentrates honestly. Unless someone chimes in and says they've had good success with them I'd be leery. I actually buy those to help people get off cigs. but have not used concentrates in them.

Oh and they ARE plastic FYI.

Ok after reading and looking maybe something like this - http://www.crimsonvapor.com/product_p/cv-ce5plus.htm - ? Dont know about that vendor but I like that its not all plastic and that you can replace the heating element. Not sure how to know if it works with variable batteries..... Meh my head is to tired tobe doing this tonight. Will be back at it when better rested
As @Caligula suggested, you may want to look further into these: http://www.w9tech.com/vaporizers/.
I own two of them and many accessories and they are very good for me. There are options available for Load As You Go, load and forget and even tanks/clearomizers for e-liquid. Also they have a couple of solid threads here. Their manufacturer presence here is @THC SCIENTIFIC.

I got an O-Phos from w9tech, and I really like, more than the Dr Dabber. Probably should have gone with the Omni Light, but really, it is so similar.

It is easy to use, and I get enough oil in it to last for my work day (that's about 6 serious hits), and with the Ti gr 2 heater coil, there is even less off-gassy things, like aluminum, to be possible. Also, there is no silica wick! I find that fabulous!

Medical effects are good. Pick your strain (this is where asking budtenders is good), I use a solid Indica with a lot of CBD ratio to the THC, and it works.

Don't vape coconut oil. Edible does not mean breathable! it may not hurt, but without some testing/MSDS info, I wouldn't. Like, you can use VG all the time for tinctures you are going to consume, but don't vape that - use PG for vaping. PG is cleared for breathing, VG is not.

Problem is, THC is soluble in VG, not PG. Usually with a high %PG its warmed up and injected into a cartomizer with poly-filler to prevent separation. Some people really like this method. I don't like cartos so not for me.

Until I find a tank atty that:
  • can handle 100% VG on a cold day,
  • is made of clean tasting materials (no chrome plate, plastic, aluminum, etc)
  • has a rebuildable coils
  • doesn't waste juice ...
... I'm using dripping atties only for PG / VG vape. Every expensive drop is worth 2-3 hits and having tank parts covered in delicious tincture is tragedy imo.

I medicate mostly with wax now anyways since I can get an 1/8 for $65 that lasts me 2 weeks :p

Ah ok I think I need to type myself cheat sheet of what these things mean. When I looked at that one I musthave only found the one for wax not liquids. Thanks for the links.

ETA: On their site the attachments I found for it ar called bubblers which I have no clue about but from the limited info they give doesn't seem to be what im looking for?

Is there new research out of PG? The ones I found said VG was approved for in hailed use PG was but was not preferred. I know PG is thinner though

Protanks? I know they sell replacement heads but they can be rebuilt if you want. I can rebuild my ViVi Nova heads if I felt like it.

Though if you're using a dripper and subohm coils then it's kind of hard to get the same experience :p

So very sorry, I was thinking you were looking into one for wax. my bad.

in regards to: VG vs PG, I was going by some remembered conversations & forum postings concerning using tinctures for vaping. as I recall, the last logical thing I read was that VG was for taking, and PG was for vaping. I am not an expert, though I occasionally impersonate one.

Actually that is a bit backwards. PG has been used in inhalation for decades in inhalers for asthma and other things. It has also been used in air systems in hospitals since PG actually cleans the air. VG on the other hand has no long term inhalation use. There aren't real studies on either. It comes down to personal preference and whether you have an allergy to either PG or VG. Traditionally e-liquids were mostly PG with a bit of VG added to add volume to the vapor. Now it runs the gamut with people vaping all sorts of mixes. I personally can't do heavy VG liquids as it leaves me with a wet, heavy feeling in my lungs which is awful.

This info is from e-cig use as the MJ concentrate use with e-cig styles is still an exploratory arena.

You might be better off using straight concentrates versus thinning into a liquid. I see a lot of happy dabbers around these parts ;)

Its ok I was originally but decided it wasn't a practical route for me.

I will have to see if I bookmarked any of the reports I read. I just recall thinking "ok good I already have that on hand" whereas I don't have any PG currently. Not opposed to getting it just looking for the cleanest option. Also was interested in glycerine since any dispensary ive looked at doesn't seel e-liquid for refillables. Only glycerine tinc or prefilled for certain models. Good to know about the VG wet feeling I have enough trouble with that. Some meds I cant wean off yet really let a lot of mucus settle in my sinuses and lungs.

My thought was to originally go with concentrates but with the limited use the pen would get I read more about people losing concentrate and burning out carts because it wasn't their main method and there was always something left in the bowl.

Honestly, I prefer to stick with the actual herb unless it's a holiday or something. I've had a lot of friends go heavy into concentrates and their tolerances go through the roof, then herb doesn't cut it and they have to use concentrates to realize any effects. While I like concentrates and I get that people dig them I don't want to ruin my tolerance so I am happy just vaping the herb for the most part ;) I'm all about the aroma, taste... I do use e-cigs just not for my MJ use.

Has anyone brought up liquidizer ej mix? Stuff supposedly works well for making THC suspensions.
I am very interested in that, if I could get an unflavored, 0 nic stuff, that I could then add my own (same and natural) essential oil for flavor, and my own MJ. I can see that being an alternate, and there is a clearomizer (if that's the right term) that fits the O-Phos, so I could just use the pen I have.

Indeed. Too bad Liquidizer wants so much money for their EJ mix
