Take CBD oil for sleep?

For sure brother, to be fair, most all vapor inhalation is bad for your teeth. Cannabis vaporization is still bad for your teeth too. Imo it is important to adjust your dental appointments for cleaning and checkups to be more frequent in equal measure to how much one vapes :2c:

@Silat actually it is not controversial to suggest that boiled VG vapors in any large quantity being inhaled through the mouth regularly will cause damage to the teeth although usually in the absence of this kind of compelling inference, I would suggest that we need more specific evidence too ;)

Oh I know that. I was just trying to be sarcastic and funny. :)

I've tried cbd isolate for sleep and it seems to have no sedative properties.
I tend to agree with psychonaut on this one. I also have the same issues with sleep. I take Ativan for sleep not as much as I used to. But to counteract that I always try to get some weed that has the all Indica and the highest THC I can find. Obviously I only use this at night. I keep my pen vape on my nightstand because I always wake up in the middle of the night. But a few quick tokes and yes I might be awake for about 20 minutes or so but because of what I smoking and the time and all that I'm right back out again. Hope that helps a little.

This is a very sensible way to medicate sleep difficulties with cannabis! Thanks for mentioning some important things here:

Keep a pen by the nightstand (or a vapcap etc, something that can quickly be used and left ready and loaded next to the bed!) is a life saver!

I do not use edibles for sleep. I find that edibles can be very unpredictable and cause such anxiety that I can't sleep in the case of mistaken overdose (incredibly easy to fuck dosage up if you are using AVB, remember that your AVB is not consistent between loads, some loads have more resin left when you finish vaping than others!).

IME you can rely more on bubble hash or dry sift (NOT KIEF, which is usually more like very finely ground up bud) to get you to sleep than other concentrates like rosin or solvent extractions from the same starting flowers (other kinds of extracts can work very well for sleep too and will always be better than the same flowers, but the variety and maturity of resin and age/curing of material is more relevant here because the components of the resin glands found in hashes but left behind/filtered out in 'oil' extractions appear to lend extra sleep benefits vs the oils).

It doesn't need to be full melt hash to get the abovementioned benefits for sleep even when your variety isn't ideal, in fact, 3-4 star bubble can be even better for sleep than full melt if you have a narrow leaf variety with more energetic/heady effects! Vape 3-4 star bubble hash in any vape that uses stainless steel mesh concentrate pads (Mighty/Crafty/Firefly 2 etc) for best results. Don't mix it with flower. The flower will be spent long before the hash and the taste will be disgusting making the end of the hash very hard on the throat to vape. If you dry your throat out from huffing on overcooked flower for too long, this IME can wake you up in the night!

Concentration of cannabis is important for sleep, IME flowers tend to lead to waking up soon after falling asleep, if they help you fall asleep at all. Concentrates do not cause this problem and last longer IME (obviously if you dab hollywood sized dabs and have a ridiculous tolerance, this might not be true for you - be sensible and don't ruin your tolerance if you're a medical user! You'll just make managing your conditions more difficult!).

@rodders83 I wanna explain to you that you seem to have misunderstood the nature of rosin. If you can get good flowers, you can get good rosin at no extra cost once you have a press. I usually squish multiple large dabs out of .5-.75g of flower at a time. The flowers that are pressed still have a little resin in them, yes (less than 5% of the total resin fraction is left behind in any given flower IME after one good press).

You can simply cut these up with scissors or grind (whichever you find easier) and vape it. You can cook the pressed nugs into edibles. You can solvent extract from them (but I recommend that you don't, this seems to be inappropriate for your living situation!).

Nothing is wasted when you make rosin. You can still use your 3.5g rations to squish rosin for yourself and have peace of mind knowing that you have not wasted any actives. You will find that the rosin from a good broad leaf, sleepier variety of cannabis will be infinitely more useful to you for sleep promotion than anything else. Dabbing concentrates is highly recommended, since it is an incredibly quick way to give yourself a sleeptime dose. The dose quickly takes effect and the effect lasts longer than vaping/smoking the same flower.

Edibles and capsules are too much trial an error IMO and should not be relied on alone for sleep medication. It is easy to find yourself waiting hours for the effects to take hold when using edibles and if you get the dosing wrong, no success is had after those hours of waiting! This is not helpful for sleep medication and is surely going to fuck with your schedule when you get the dose wrong!

I have a different experience with the edibles. At least, I have never taken too much. It just seems to last longer if i eat more (those are the rare times i wake up still medicated); I think my receptors get saturated, not sure.

I have yet to really try it out specifically for sleep really though... But, I have thought about trying taking them at bedtime. I usually fall asleep fine, but wake up in the middle of the night. my hope is that the edibles might take care of the 2am wakeup. I've also thought about trying capsules for less calories.

even when I was a supreme lightweight 20 years ago, other people ate the same edibles as me and were quite goofy and I was largely unaffected though. I think I have an unusually high tolerance for edibles.

Is it weird the vegan caps i took have a avb taste after a short time? Being honest last night was so bad i got no sleep and i stayed up and now i am near the end of zombie mode and will sleep proper. But i took two caps again normally these are dissolved where in the stomach or lower down? I thought maybe i was short changed on ebay with normal geletin because after like 10 minutes i burp avb smells which must mean it dissolved super fast?

Exact same smell of a roasted bowl, I like it that bit. The issue is finding a way to get it into the capsules in a way that will not make me sick and so im thinking tomorrow of getting a syringe and setting out both halfs of the capsules and sucking up the fine grind avb and coconut infused mix and injecting into the caps. Then quickly get them cold so i can safely close them without runny coconut. I think i need to buy some kind of capsule holder though which is a pain.

The only other thing i could think of was mixing in the solid coconut flakes with the fine grind and filling it normally and let the capsules sit for a bit with coconut melting inside?

If you strain the avb out of the coconut oil you'll probably have an easier time with the syringe. You should be able to put the tops of the caps on while the oil is liquid as long as you don't tip/overfill and make a mess
