How much is this stuff in the UK? Im looking at multifunction i have night sweats and vaping doesnt last long enough to stop me waking up soaked in sweat. It does miracles in the daytime and wiping my memory of anything once my eyes close but it does not stop me waking and it does not stop me soaking the bed with sweat.

I also wanted oil for nutrition because im not into blending seeds but i want the omega oils i dont really venture out much food wise past my fruit and veg. So im thinking this is a big part of the plant im not getting thats 100% organic and healthy and thats something i need to fix. But can this stuff K.O night terrors? And what doses would it need to be?

Right now all i have found is some cheap 250ml bottles of cold pressed hemp oil which are cheap and would make a good spoon medicine in the morning. You know when you hold your nose and swallow the yucky stuff? But i need the stuff now that would K.O me at night and in this i am clueless.

CBD oil and hemp seed oil are 2 different things, not sure if I can suggest facebook groups but I'll link you a uk based cbd group in pm. Synergyofnature.co.uk and cbdbrothers.com are the companies I get my CBD products from at the moment, they also have facebook pages you should check out. It might be confusing at first but you'll pick it up quickly

I have been advised by Dr. to take CBD early in the day as its energizing for many.

I don't tend to think of it as sedative.

Have you tried a bit of edible. Take edible about when you vape. By the time the vape is wearing off, the edible will kick in (hopefully, edibles are a bit variable in my experience).

Cheers

Thanks i asked CBD brothers about the vegan capsules though i can barely afford an ounce every 2 months nevermind CBD and edibles. Really i am in weed poverty and debt the best i can do is probably edibles from used AVB and 50mg of CBD brothers pills to treat myself i get no help from doctors or anyone because i refuse non organic treatments for this issue.

I will report back if they send me a sample i sent them details of what i am suffering from and asked about Indica but the Sativa 30% 50mg pills have reviews on getting good sleep! So my plan as of now is to use the ounces i buy at $377 to keep me going daily for daytime relief and try to get in a cheap bottle of cold pressed Hemp oil for the omega 3 acids in my diet. At night i plan 50mg or 100mg of the CBD capsules from CBD brothers and size 000 caps filled with ground AVB.

The only alternative is either Temazepam + clitalopram from the doctor and that stuff is seriously bad. Which is a problem the above is my idea of treating myself and the harmful stuff is what they want me to take. And because this stuff is frowned upon they wont pay for the CBD but will pay for the opiates etc.

I've tried cbd isolate for sleep and it seems to have no sedative properties.
This is it. I've pointed it out for a long time that people who report sedative effects from CBD containing material have always IME been consuming something with more than just CBD (or consumed other cannabis derived material which made them sleepy). A number of well respected folks (various Hash Church panellists etc) have recently been talking a lot about the misconception that CBD causes sedative effects.

A number of terpenes (especially myrcene, common to some of the high CBD cultivars) cause sleepiness and are found in CBD flowers. CBD on its own does not cause sedative effects IME. THC containing concentrates are going to be best for that task. You should be able to find plenty of high THC flowers abundantly in your neck of the woods :)

To the OP: What you need is to learn to extract. Flowers do not last long enough for sleep purposes for me either. Concentrates are the magic bullet IME :D Head over to the rosin thread - almost anyone can do it!

Hemp oil is often industrial grade from China, containing loads of pesticides. Buyer beware as it is a lucrative market.
As a periodic sufferer of night terrors myself, I wouldn't put all my stock into cannabis, though it can be helpful.
It's not a cure all though. Gentle yoga, breathing practices, meditation, cognitive behavioral therapy cam all be helpful. Choose what appeals to you as cannabis alone is not going to fix the underlying issues.
Good luck!

Thankyou guys this is why i love this place! So if CBD really is not sedative then it is no big deal i can sleep as in be tired infact i be fatigued sometimes its the nightmares and waking up sweating that will ruin my sleep because you have to go shower and when fatigued in the daytime from no sleep the night before i have to lay down all day because if i dont im literally not able to be spoken to as i would just not be able to function right and be angry. So thats the thought process if it is not sedative then i could combine the cheaper CBD capsules 50-100mg each night along with regular dark brown AVB in caps to ease the thoughts at night because i think the THC wears off too damm fast with vaping as you know. I have two ounces of dark AVB and need to order 000 caps because i cant stand cooking with it or the tastes.

But while the flowers hardly last as you know @herbivore21 my tolerance is still low because the $377 ounces actually is way past what i can afford while sick u have no income so just think of the prices of Rosin for a second its not even possible if i wanted to make Rosin which i do know how. And for this reason i use kief as a concentrate. I never touch the stuff normally so i guess in a way having weed quality this crap and so expensive i am micro-dosing. Because i literally have it rationed to 3.5g a week. If the CBD + AVB wont work to ease nights though im screwed because growing to make rosin and upping my tolerance would put me in the spot where if i am caught, Well there goes the house i live in because im 99% sure they would seek an eviction notice for growing cannabis they always do here. So its back to the plan above as regards to oil or take a massive risk.

Also @sanfranciscosadhu Hempiness Organic Premium Hemp Seed Oil 500ml is the best i can find i am not putting cheap Chinese hemp oil in my body the first thing i typed was best quality cold pressed hemp oil and this stuff came up. Would you approve of this brand or is there better yet?

I think using various strains throughout the month vs a whole ounce of the same strain. My body tends to get used to the same strain after a while and I don't get the same intense results. I like a little of this and a little of that. Sometimes I use concentrates but not all the time, maybe a few times a week and in the evening.

My suggestion is to use various strains if possible. That might be difficult for you in your situation. That was my problem in the black market days, I would get an oz of the same strain and most of the time I had no idea if it was a hybrid, sativa or an indica. If you don't like it, you're stuck with it.

I suggest a heavy indica for sleep. Look on Leafly to get some ideas as well as FC. I like strains like Grand Daddy Purple, Northern Lights, Hindu Kush, Blackberry Kush and GrapeApe for evening. It would depend on their THC levels too.

Luckily I live in a legal state and can buy the medicine flowers that I want. Wishing for that where you live.

Having a regular excercise routine earlier in the day may help with sleep. Excercise too close to bed time could interfere with sleep. It's all a balance I hope you find what works for you. I took a nap earlier - now I can't sleep.:bang::zzz:

Good Luck.

I think the ABV for nighttime is the right idea.

I do a water and butter simmer and then solidify out the butter (and do two more 'washes' of melting the butter and shaking with water and re-solidifying). I find the taste to be minimized.

Or use your kief for edibles.

Or, could do coconut oil with the ABV and then put in capsules. I think it'll work better with the added fat than just the ABV in capsules.

Unregardless of how you do it, I find edibles last considerably longer. Only thing in the past 15 years where I have woken up still medicated the next day (although that is still quite rare for me).

ABV edibles at night I think would be prime. You get the super sedative effects of ABV with your liver processing it to give you a good 4 hours of sedating effects. You'll have to experiment with doses, I find that 25mg THC during daytime is good, 50-75mg at night is good. You can also kick start the sedation by vaporizing a little herb when you take the ABV edible, that'll get it started then 30-45 mins later the edible should be working.

I think the ABV idea is a good one. ABV has been sedating for me. My ABV will knock me out, it takes a while to take effect. I have to take it early enough in the evening so I don't get a cannabis hangover in the morning. Starting slow is the key. It's no fun getting too medicated.

Make sure you take it with a spoon of peanut butter, or something that has some fat. Put it in your hot cocoa using whole milk with cream and keep stirring. Mixing it with the butter is a good idea and simmer for a while. The ABV milkshake is easy enough too. Just add it to the ice cream and milk. Start out with a teaspoon or tablespoon depending on your tolerance and work up. It can take edibles 2 or three hours to kick in sometimes. It may only take you an hour, there are a lot of variables with edibles such a stomach contents and your metabolism.

If I couldn't sleep say at 12:00 midnight I wouldn't take ABV to get me to sleep. That would be too late.

I ordered the size 000 caps very inexpensive so i have two ounces that has been there very dark for maybe 4 months in the fridge in an Igloo Borgonova airtight. So im probably going to eat a lot of it ideally i would consume ground stalk leaf and bud in edibles if i grew my own and just keep the kief every harvest like a Moroccan.

As in harvest, Shake of the silk screens and then grind every single part of the plant left over and soak with coconut for the caps. But as i said that is so damm risky but a dream none the less. So thanks for wishing @CarolKing i hope you get your dreams too as well.

I will re-bump when i pop a few caps of the dark stuff but i cannot do the above recipes the kief is too precious to cook and i hate the textures and taste of AVB. Ideally i do not want to strain this? Or do i want to strain this and syringe into caps? I am literally thinking of just grinding plain AVB into caps but unsure as to which method.

The minimalist inside me is saying dude you only pop maybe 3 caps a day you do not need a machine or more things and the other part of me is saying buy the syringe cheesecloth and capsule machine. But i do believe the plain caps are going to be tried fist because the coconut oil is messy and once i use things the PTSD will manifest into cleaning OCD. So i tend to on purpose own as few things to clean as possible.

The oil you've bought is made from just the seeds I think so you're not getting "full spectrum" that you need. I'd recommend CBD Brothers Purple Edition (with a red top) paste for sleeping. £12 for a gram. It comes in a syringe. It helps so many people. Much more concentrated than the oil, you just need a grain of rice size. The FB group I'm in has so much info - CBD Users UK.

I've tried cbd isolate for sleep and it seems to have no sedative properties.
I think a lot depends on whether it's made from Indica or sativa. CBD Brothers (UK) do a great concentrated Indica hybrid paste that does helps lots of folks sleep, incl me. I don't take anything at all apart from CBD. Love the stuff. I take CBD Brothers Blue Edition oil for daytime and Purple edition paste to sleep xx

That is just a Cannabis suppliment as i try to eat vegetarian so i never get omega oils. The seeds are a superfood infact the whole plant is a superfood vegetable both hemp and regular cannabis so i want as much of it in and around my body as possible. It is pretty reasonable priced for a spoon a day the body needs those omega oils too.

But thankyou for the Indica suggestion that is what i personally wanted to know about the purple as in leafly = purple indica so at £12 a gram how long is that going to last? A week £12 a week £48 a month? Also i think my general symptoms all fall into Generalized anxiety disorder i just found the page for it today and my jaw dropped how a lot of my symptoms inc sweats fall into it. But i am dreading explaining it to my doctor nbefore i have at least properly tested this CBD and can testify to him.

Also my 000 caps are here im going to pop some with AVB tonight and see how i get on :)

Hey man,

Before you start packing AVB into capsules have a read of Old Hippies (Beyond Chronic) experience...

Capsule Warning: The AVB Experiment That Went Wrong

The crux of it is, be careful how you pack the capsules. If you tamp a capsule down with finely ground AVB it can pass right through the gut and hit the blood stream up to 4 hours after you've taken it which can hit you really hard.

Thanks man i only tried one and had the giggles but i was still up multiple times so i am going to experiment with more. Next time trying two i am not even grinding this i am just tampering it down into size 000 caps.

I have a sneaky feeling that 3 will be around a table spoon or more easily and be potent the first few times. Will see. :x

Are you certain your night sweats are from anxiety? Do you snore? Sleep apnea and snoring can also cause you to sweat at night and can also give you anxiety during the day IME.

When the Facts Change, I Change My Mind.
I do not believe that CBD is a sleep aid.
I cannot remember where I got this cut and paste but thought it might be of interest. Take what you will from the info:

"Cannabidiol (CBD) is a constituent of Cannabis sativa that induces nonpsychotropic effects, and some of its biological actions in sleep have been described by the authors' group. Here, the authors report that when administered 10 or 20 microg/1 microl during the lights-on period directly into either lateral hypothalamus (LH) or dorsal raphe nuclei (DRN), which are wake-inducing brain areas, CBD enhanced wakefulness and decreased slow wave sleep and REM sleep. Furthermore, CBD increased alpha and theta power spectra but diminished delta power spectra. Additionally, CBD increased c-Fos expression in LH or DRN. These findings suggest that this cannabinoid is a wake-inducing compound that presumably activates neurons in LH and DRN.

In order to determine the effects of CBD on sleep, it was administered intracerebroventricular (icv) in a dose of 10 microg/5 microl at the beginning of either the lights-on or the lights-off period. We found that CBD administered during the lights-on period increased wakefulness (W) and decreased rapid eye movement sleep (REMS). No changes on sleep were observed during the dark phase. Icv injections of CBD (10 microg/5microl) induced an enhancement of c-Fos expression in waking-related brain areas such as hypothalamus and dorsal raphe nucleus (DRD). Microdialysis in unanesthetized rats was carried out to characterize the effects of icv administration of CBD (10 microg/5 microl) on extracellular levels of dopamine (DA) within the nucleus accumbens. CBD induced an increase in DA release. Finally, in order to test if the waking properties of CBD could be blocked by the sleep-inducing endocannabinoid anandamide (ANA), animals received ANA (10 microg/2.5 microl, icv) followed 15 min later by CBD (10 microg/2.5 microl). Results showed that the waking properties of CBD were not blocked by ANA. In conclusion, we found that CBD modulates waking via activation of neurons in the hypothalamus and DRD. Both regions are apparently involved in the generation of alertness. Also, CBD increases DA levels as measured by microdialysis and HPLC procedures. Since CBD induces alertness, it might be of therapeutic value in sleep disorders such as excessive somnolence."

Well, from my own personal experience cbd definitely helps me sleep. It has been helping me in so many ways for a year now. The article above refers to cbd from sativa, and totally leaves out any info on cbd from indica - which most folks take for sleep. Cbd from Sativa can be very energising and is recommended for daytime use. I know lots of people who use cbd as a sleep aid, it works really well, if the right product is taken. I used to wake up every couple of hours all through the night until starting on cbd a year ago. I now sleep so well and hardly ever wake up during the night.
I've just made my first diy cbd tincture/vape juice, using dry herb, vg and soy lecithin. Pg is too chemical for me. I wanted to make a healty cbd vape. It's an added bonus to me that I can also put a few drops in my mouth, as well as vaping it. It tastes sooooo delicious and is a great vape too :)

A few years ago i do not remember this. Then after an event that i feel was an injustice and still is i started to go downhill. And since then and more recently it came to my attention. This last year is where i remember now getting up constantly up and down. And if i do not smoke i sweat a lot and have bad dreams. Example someone who annoyed me i would wake up soaked remembering i have just been holding them by the collar and hitting them in the face over and over. And last night it happened again over and over sweating yet this time i remembered a dream.

And again it was a bad one because i was sitting on the edge of a pool on a rock but the pool was not normal the pool ended your life and there was something about souls too i think it was just a pool of deletion. And then this girl who was beautiful just came past me in a second and jumped right in she never spoke she just look at me with crying eyes and jumped with no hesitation. And then someone walked over and said yeah she had trouble with a man and was heart broken. These dreams are stupid but they can only happen in the mind of someone who in my option has anxiety or PTSD. I think both maybe combined with the fact i cannot keep myself stoned for 10 hours sleep. Because if i did i do not think i would of remembered anything which is why i think sometimes i remember sometimes not.

I get mad thinking that i have to mask this with chemicals or an illegal plant which puts me into a circle of anger which is driving it i think.

CBD is CBD, my friend. CBD isolated from a narrow or broad leaf variety will still be nothing but pure CBD with no difference in effects. In the abovementioned study, that was pure CBD being INJECTED into the brain. This is not CBD with some 'sativa' terpenes.

However, what you are saying may explain your experiences. CBD varieties often have a lot of myrcene and broad leaf varieties often have this and other terps which cause sleepiness. If you are eating the CBD, I don't know that the terpenes are going to have the same effects. In this case, you might find that the CBD is having an anti-anxiety effect which may be relieving enough anxiety (or some other symptom) to help you sleep.

By the way, VG is not safe to vape. It decomposes into Glycidol, a probable carcinogen when heated in ecig style carts. I recommend that you do not vape solvents like VG and PG.
