Tafée Bowle

Your one wish was the main thing mentioned.
I'm not trying to be a fan-boy or sell you on a unit... but the 5th setting and larger capacity battery seems to be what you're hoping for!
Give me 6 more months for my Federal Parole to end... and I'm on board!
The 5th setting is for concentrates so it's probably too hot for herb. Sounds like they just bumped the temp up a few degrees or moved the heater slightly closer. A bigger battery is nice but not compatible with previous stems is ridiculous when it's the same form factor, seems like a money grab.

Better outer finish for reducing loss/wear

well... so much the better for my wallet!!
I would have really preferred that they removed the coating or opted for an SS stem rather than "improving the coating to reduce loss/Wear"... that means that there will always be loss/Wear.. . but a little less...

hummm... perplexed.... I don't want less.... I don't want any in my flowers!

the other points of improvement seem positive!

I wish them success with their second launch!!

Hot take - Stem being non-cross-compatible is a good thing if it means that it is designed better - because it's one of the "weaknesses" as not taking care of it could result in air escaping without being able to fix it.

I understand disappointed people in the changes overall, some want this device to be more flexible, but I'm happy the form factor is not changing. I don't know what more to say, but for us tafee lovers, you understand what I'm talking about.
Double the battery? hell yes!

yeah well, I meant the shape and design.

I know I know, I'll be more specific haha I felt like it was a shame to keep that form factor, yet make it larger, because personally it is already at the maximum of comfort to hold for me, so having it be even wider is extremely unappealing, larger circle, although I understand why, I just don't know if I believe it was the best way to go, certainly not for me at least lol (and yeah aside from the stem stuff staying exactly the same, I mean hopefully better materials, but still disappointed to see coating etc and that mouthpiece without any other connection options available... My biggest complaint about this V2 is that they added a fifth setting, that is even higher, when what I really wanted was a setting that was lower! Oh well this one just isn't for me I guess)

Yeah except it is larger... in size, diameter

I got my V1 and brought up the comparison pic here.
In the pic, V1 looks small. In hand it is much bigger than I remembered . V1 is comfy in hand but kinda max size.
That makes the V2 really large, like the diameter of a wide mouth pint jar.

I was hot to get the V2 but really need to hold one first to see what the real world fit is like.

it was late for me so I didn't read "yeah". lol

yes, I don't think it's for you.
I think this has a very casual use case. it's simple, quick, and effective. You can leave it in plain sight. It's a part of my living room, unlike other vaporizers.

I think coming here expecting more versatility from the new device is not rational.
This vaporizer is perfect for me because I don't want to have lots of parts and different options. I want this simple experience so I can make my vaping a transparent action for the rest of my day. It's not a vaporizer that is meant for a "ritual". It is the Nintendo Wii of vaporizers, and it is fucking amazing for those who are looking for a similar experience.

With your other points, I can agree, that it is just not my top priority, I don't like the coating scraping off, but it doesn't bother me as long as the device performs. I never use lower temps so I can't comment on that, but it's a fair point. The best thing I can think of is to let us customize the temps with a mobile application.

So tell me, guys, do we have a release date? I was able to contact Taffee as of late /;

I mean that is what appealed to me about the first version, and I still hold it in high regard, but the only things this new version did is make me less interested despite the battery upgrade, was my point... I do want simple quick and effective, I don't think I expected versatility, but I hoped for some new offering that could appeal to more enthusiasts this way and still be optional for anyone to fully ignore and use standard... I think my disappointment is fairly rational, though I didn't have any expectation really, I had hoped for things that would make me want to use bowle more (if it were a more enjoyable experience for me, I would make it fit my lifestyle of course, even adapt myself to it more again and continue to, but just think it has so much more potential... still never used it with the drinkware though lol)

Not a Vapman “beta tester”
God knows I like equipment as much as anybody. That being said, a number of people on this forum continue to miss the point of the Bowle, in my opinion. There are people who could be vaping with this device, because it doesn’t have attachments for water pipes, because it looks like a water glass, because it doesn’t use removable batteries that you can’t get at CVS and really you need an external charger to charge. If you are an “enthusiast” and want to endlessly futz with devices, you already have an enormous number of choices. I see the Bowle as trying to make vaping accessible and easy for people who don’t want vaping to be their hobby. I always use the cup, filled with cold seltzer, with my Bowle. It’s a fun, simple, very effective device and I’ll probably buy a v2.

Why in the world would that be a reason to use it?? Most any device that has a standard adapter can be used without it, you're not forced into using a water piece or other glass piece, stock setup stems and mouthpiece would still exist...

I don't quite understand why the mere suggestion and disappointment of it being ignored elicits such response lol we're not talking about taking anything away, just adding additional options (I mean I do get it sort of because I've done the same thing when people say something negative about a product then I feel I have to counter and play devil's advocate so all good)

because it doesn’t use removable batteries that you can’t get at CVS and really you need an external charger to charge

Again, if it had removable batteries, you could leave them in the device... It would not force you to use an external charger, it would allow you to eventually replace them simply, if you never wanted to swap in normal use (I wasn't even advocating for this although it seems like a weird thing to be against for these reasons) they could have done proprietary battery packs as is a common alternative too

For the record I always have water with me for vaping, so you'd think I would want to use the drinkware and keep it simple, but combining those things only feels inconvenient, more for me to consider and manage... Extra to clean and care for, also I have the smaller size drinkware, while I have switched to a nice large heady glass for my water more recently lol

I don't deny there is value in making a more mainstream appealing vape like this, I just don't think that is any excuse for limiting its capabilities? Or justification rather

Dude, you have to try the drinkware, have really cold water with ice or a super cold soda.
It does make the vapor cooler, you'll see.

Has anyone ever encountered someone who has the Bowle as their first vape? I get the idea that it could be intended as device for novice vapers but it always struck me as deeply niche and only attractive to hardcore vaping enthusiasts.

The Bowle is a great vaporizer for a newcomer. It's easy to explain and it just works so well...
I wouldn't let my wife touch my TM, but Bowle? fuck yes :D

Like I said, I'm convinced it could be nice for a novice. I just don't see anything that would attract someone who doesn't already have other vapes. And nothing in this thread or any other part of our community says to me that any new vaper has ever bought it as their first dry herb vape. I'm sure the high price tag is part of that, but also in my experience most people who don't know vapes tend to reject it as a novelty out of hand.

Oh there definitely were some people interested to make it their first vape, I'm not 100% sure if we had someone posting here like that, but it sounds a little familiar...

I know I know I know I know I know haha for the experience at the very least, even though cooler vapor is not necessarily what I am after in this case, I need to try I know I know

I just don't see anything that would attract someone who doesn't already have other vapes.

I was seriously looking at it for a couple reasons. For flower, my DD is the TM2. I need to use a dependable portable and batteries work best. In my situation, I have to keep all my vape stuff hidden where kids won't find it, and I fucking have to vape outside on the porch. I also need a decent amount of cooling for my throat. It doesn't need to be water, but it needs to cool like water can. The TM2 hits all the categories for me.
I got a graveyard of other vapes that are either meh or have too much of a footprint.

So why the Bowle? Because using the TM2 every day gets boring. I read a shit ton of pages in this thread because I like on-demand, battery powered (torches are tough on a front porch), the cooling of the 90 degree bend stems, great supposed flavor, powerful hits, ease of use. I don't want something better than the TM2, I want a partner that can platoon with it.

I thought the Bowle 2 might be the one. I can't say I was happy about the odd form factor or the cup. But I was mildly convinced that outer finish wasn't going to end up in my mouth, and many talk of the great fluffy hits you get.

But the awkward puck is now bigger. People are saying it needs a lower setting, and hot hits are one of my biggest concerns. You can't swap out 18650's. No easy way to use a bubbler. If it's gonna be that spendy, I think it has to check more boxes for me.

Yeah so it might depend on your hands for comfort, otherwise it really does fit the bill, and even though I want a lower setting, that's not so it can be smooth and chilled, just because I like the effects of lower temp hits, long and low still gets thick tasty vapor that is quite potent... Honestly even on the highest setting, if not going back to back of course, the natural right angles and u turn pathway for the built-in hook experience is very effective, and as was just reiterated above, if you use the drinkware with it that will further cool down the stem and the vapor for you in an especially effective way

I just hope Tafee or a betta produces a good video showing this thing in action before they start selling them.

I've hated it when other vape companies expect you to shell out a lot of money without even showcasing the product. It's the internet, it's not a brick and mortar store with a showcase. You gotta show people what you want them to buy. It's only fair.

So far, all we get is a few pics and short little video clips from vapefiend. Why does it have to be a secret? Supposedly we are a few weeks from the first release. Let's see the damn thing.

@BabyFacedFinster , with a gun to my face (well it certainly can happen these days with the current war lol /;) I will choose TM2 over any vaporizer.

With that being said, the Tafee does a better job at cooling the vapor. It does such an incredible job that I quit water vaping.
The double battery size is huge, when it gives you 8 sessions instead of 4, that's a game changer.
Yet, I wish it was possible to replace batteries easily - just thinking ahead of time, what will happen in 5-8 years or so?

Back to the device, I think the temp settings are fine, another thing simplified is that some might be turned off, but like I said, this is about casual use, and it's practical like almost no other vape.
Hide in plain sight, fast extraction...
I just want to vape my herb easily and this does the job perfectly at home (and TM2 in all other places).

I hope you manage to try this device because the vapor quality is worth it.

I think a strong point for the vape is that it can appeal to novice users and to the super expert niche market folks.

@Shit Snacks I too have never used the glass.

Instead I will put the stem in the freezer for cool cool hits.

For a group or continual use I wrapped a wet sock around the upper steam and put it in the freezer. The ghetto cooler….
I have pics but can’t post them

I loved the Vapor signature but mine got finicky.

The upgrades seem fine, but not that compelling overall. I don’t see myself upgrading to a new unit. Lack of backwards compatibility with accessories doesn’t help, but I guess it makes sense if they had to make the puck physically larger to accommodate a stronger battery. Will be interesting to see what changes/improvements were made to the stem.

Another guy here who has never used the glass! Thanks for the stem freezer trick, I need to try that!
