Thank you for the feedback.
Just another question: Is it possible to remove/replace the battery of the Bowle?

So I guess we cannot fly on a airplane with this vape since a lot of air companies forbid to travel with high output batteries connected

@Weett - this thread in the Ask FC section should be helpful

It is a real crap-shoot at airport customs checkpoints.
Pictured below at Mexico City Airport.
Which bag had me delayed for 15 minutes and questioned by 4 different security officers?
The bag full of vapes or the bag with my toothbrush gear??

Vapes didn’t warrant any attention!
The tongue scrapper drew huge attention and tested my mime skills.....cleans your 👅 tongue.

They acted like it was a huge threat....
You just never know what does and doesn’t attract their ire??,,,View attachment 5348

No problem with the bag full of vapes , not a second look at the vape bounty.
Big problem with tongue scrapper!!

All battery devices must go in carry on bag so they go in the tray for full inspection.

My Bowle flight experience from last year:
Now for something completely different

Don't bother hiding it
Be honest, say it's a vaporizor

Bowle-travels.jpg

"Crosby's" 80th, had to go visit, all vaccinated
He tried Bowle, but still prefers joints
(see HighTimes '75 Winter issue)

Thanks @stonedmallone , that pic is from return fight, a TSA PSA for Bowle "fellow travellers"

Departing flight I had packed in carry-on bag. Was taken from line to the security area of shame

Told agent what it was, obviously had never seen one. Then he held the stem and said, "so this is the mouthpiece?" Yup. Save yourself aggravation on domestic flights, put it in bin

(After Crosby learned Bowle was from Toronto, said he ran plenty of loads up there early '70s, enjoyed the city)

Old & In the Way
On Taffee site the banner says new stock expected Q3.
Last month it said Q2.
Is this simply supply chain issue?

I really like the Bowle and hope there is longevity here.
I would hope for tweaks to battery life, the chamber screen and to usb-c, maybe the finish?
But even though I list 4 improvements I do love the thing as-is.

Can someone tell us how many runs (batches) of Bowle there have been since release? Any known variants?

Hey all, I've had my Bowle since January '21 and really do enjoy it quite a bit. I wouldn't say it's my most used device, but I usually use it at least once a day. I'm trying to incorporate it more into my rotation, but portability is key for me and so far I haven't found a satisfactory way to transport the filled pots. I took it to a golf outing yesterday with 6 pots in a mini altoids tin with a piece of cardboard on top to keep them from spilling (which works fine), and I used an asparagus rubber-band to wrap around the seam to minimize the air gap. It worked ok, but the 1 pot that I didn't use yesterday has noticeably more oxidation today compared to herb that I ground at the same time but stored in a plastic pill container. Has anybody come up with a solution for this yet?

Thanks!!

Would one of the potters work? I use the metal potter to grind, fill and store the pots. The metal potter might be a bit heavy for portability but the plastic potter might be a fit.

An update, even if only to add USB-C, is long overdue, especially with the “drop” nature of their production. If they had thousands of backstock already built with micro USB that would be one thing, but to keep producing new units with long outdated tech is lazy and a slap in the face to their customers.

Couldn't agree more. Sold my first edition with hopes they would come out with an updated version 2 in the near future but has been several months and not even a chirp from the company about it so losing hope.

What a shame, truly a remarkable vape that would have benefited from V2 more than almost any other vape I now...

I've been promising my wife a Bowle since I first got mine December 2020. The stipulation for purchase was an update to the battery life and a proper approach to fast charging/USB-C. I'd settle for the update to the battery life.

A battery upgrade and USB-C would be nice. I’m pretty pessimistic at this point though. Units have been out of stock for months and there’s been zero communication from Tafee about what issues they may be having and whether any updates are in the works. It seems like the CS still exists though so that’s good? Anyone deal with them lately?

I’ve already been thinking about what I’d replace my Bowle with if it broke and the Company went under. It’s probably the most essential vape in my collection at this point.

I have the plastic potter. I've tried to make it work, but it's bukly and not as portable as the Altoids tin I'm using currently. And neither of them seem to be as air-tight as the little pillboxes that dynavap has been sending out recently.

This looks better than what I am using right now, however if it doesn't make the mint tin air-tight, then I'll still be trying to find a better solution to be able to store pots in it overnight and not have to worry about significant degredation to the herb. Do you own it currently? Any thoughts?

Thanks!

.... I wonder if Delta3d could make a silicone rectangle the same size as this thing that we could lay on top of the pots. I would be perfectly happy with that solution. And then I'd just store the mint tin in some other container that is compact and airtight...

This is a tough time for manufacturers and especially the lil guys. We aren't out of the woods with supply chain, labor and shipping challenges.

Yes I'd love all the things mention above. And that handle accessory, and a glass (non-plastic) glass.

Here is hoping that the company can regain some momentum. They know what we want. I can't imagine them not implementing a larger (hopefully swappable) battery and USB-C as soon as they are able.

I think we should cut them some slack because we don't know what circumstances they are facing.
