Suggestion; A Must for ALL NEW members, esp Health related

For anyone who is really interested in the complexities that You can choose to involve Yourself in when Vaping.
In learning about different techniques, in understanding the feedback Your getting from Your experiences and learning to somewhat tune your vaping experiences.
Most of all, determining what method of vaping really suits YOU Best!
In other words, wanting to LEARN rather than being here to spread 'the Gospel'
I suggest, to any that hasn't already done their homework, that they should read the full contents of
General Vaporization Discussion, starting from Page #1
At least go through all posts and determine which ones could remotely relate to Your interests.
One of the most important threads to Me has to be under
'Vaporization Temperature Dependent Selection of Effects'
Read the whole thread! But, what I relate to, is the Member 'Oatmaster'
I think they are the only one I've read, who have a real handle on "Complete Vaporization"
For those of Us, who have the Patients!

We each have our own way of learning. Not wanting to read the posts your found helpful does not equal being here to spread the gospel whatever that is.

Yes Pastor. We will look at what YOU think is most important.
Frankly, I don't know how we ever got along before someone like you came here to instruct us in the proper way to learn! :spliff:

I think I'm more of the lazy stoner type. Just kind of want to vape, enjoy the high and get in some symptom abatement. Mebbe make a few comments on FC. I enjoy words as much as the next person, but assigned reading sure takes the fun out of it. It doesn't work for me. Same with homework. Unless there will be a degree conferred, or someone will end up paying me more money, I no longer accept homework assignments.
I'm the first to admit I don't fit as someone "really interested in the complexities", etc. I consider it fortunate that I stumbled across vaping. I like 327*. Don't care if 345* or 380* is better. I'll prolly stumble accross different temps in the course of time, reading or not. I like to vape, then deliciously sample FC thread morsels.
Also willing to admit that while I have patience, I don't have Patients, so this might apply more for caregivers and those in the healthcare fields as you indicated.

Unfortunately many seem to come here not to really learn, but to get someone else to do their homework for them and answer the same question that's been asked and answered many many times before. Some might call that lazy, some 'entitled' I guess. Many say 'I'm too busy to read this thread, so....'. So, you do it for me? Maybe they mean 'I'm too important/my time is worth too much'? At least they're somewhat honest.

I get it that the search function here isn't that good, but we all agreed to read a thread to be sure the question on our minds hasn't been already answered before asking when we signed up, right? It's been often advised that new posters read back say 20 pages or so, good advice I think. Frankly it pisses me off to point to the same question being asked and answered on that very page (or the one before it), a pet peeve of sorts. A 'not uncommon' happening IMO. It uses up resources that could help others?

Sorry to rant, but I think the OP has a good suggestion (at least for some). And I think it's a cheap cop out to 'just ask in on the web' and let someone else answer it for you.

And on a similar vein, how often do you see guys thanking a Member for going out of their way to answer stuff? Maybe entitlement covers more than I thought? Seems to be a lot of special folks around these days.

Thanks for listening.

I did read every word of the Arizer EQ thread before first posting on FC. Same with the Silver Surfer Thread. I regularly read threads on many subjects on FC, just to see what's been going on here. I read the entirety of every thread I post on before I post. I'm a grown-up, so I get to decide what I read. Not liking to be told what to read, doesn't mean not reading. It doesn't mean not liking reading. It just means some adults don't think other adults should tell them what to do. I also don't ask people to answer questions contained in threads. That's because I read the thread first. If you are trying to say I'm not willing to learn, you are far wrong.

As the Aussies say (POME Bastards to those in the know....), 'Good on ya, Mate!'. I too read a thread, at least skim it for useful posts before posting, but don't expect that of others. I'm happy when a new poster goes back a few days before asking, which IMO no doubt happens but not often enough.

I tend to blow through the 'I just pulled the trigger on this vape, and am excited to get it', sorts of posts. Sincere no doubt, just not really useful information supporting informed buying choices and effective use of the tools at hand. Then again, I don't tweet (although I do toot a bit after Mexican food.....), have never posted on Facebook or any of that. I don't even carry a cell phone for heaven's sake. How serious can you really take me? Just a retired old guy who no longer even wears a watch........

There are all sorts of Members here, some not very mature, some of us old and set in our 'old school' ways. If the advice doesn't fit you personally, I suggest ignoring it on the assumption it relates to others? The Mods here 'bouts are good at keeping the comments/opinions from being personal slights I think.

Most often I think folks are offering genuine advice they think helpful. If it helps you, use it? Even consider thanking them????? Otherwise let it pass as yet more BS opinions from clowns not even using their real names on the Internet. IMO the world might be much better of Al Gore hadn't invented it in the first place......

Regards to all.

This is an unnecessarily unfriendly response. Remember our first rule: Be Nice. Please ignore posts or threads that you find patronizing. If they break the rules, report them, otherwise don't post comments that could provoke a flame war. Thanks for your cooperation.

Regarding the Vaporization temperature dependent selection of effects thread, I think OP is referring to Qatmaster (not Oatmaster)'s posts. I think he's right: Qatmaster has some excellent posts in the aforementioned thread.

Here they are in chronological order:

I don't really know what you're talking about (I tend to avoid the topic of 'XXX degrees for THC' and so on because that's not how it works in simple terms......evaporation happens well below boiling point usually), but if you say it's so that's more than I have to offer.

You lie, and I'll swear to it?

'It must be true, I read it on the internet'?

Sorry: I meant OP as in the Original Poster, not OF. I should've just quoted his post, my apologies.

I love to read, learn, debate, politely argue and occasionally talk some smack.........I ask no quarter and expect none.
I want my thoughts, opinions and beliefs challenged......I abhor echo chambers.
This is why it is always a joy to read your posts.
