Strain for excessive fatigue?

I'm similar with those medications and crash pretty badly, this is why I avoid any similar. I also get very bad migraines.
As for finding a diagnosis there is just too many terrible doctors. Hell it took me 9 years to get a hip injury diagnosed and to do that I had travel to Europe because doctors here started saying I would never get a diagnosis and that I will live with pain forever. The pain part might be true but the dislocations are gone.

As for fatigue now they are trying to say I have sleep apnea because of bone structure but I had the same bone structure 3 years ago and my sleep was perfect with no fatigue. My sleep is perfect now with fatigue. They gave me an APAP machine for trial but just as I told them it makes absolutely no difference with fatigue. One consistent symptom I've had since this fatigue started was sweating for no reason, in an air conditioned room I'll sweat profusely but apparently my thyroid is healthy.

I had a full blood work up done but I doubt any of those you mentioned were checked. I will get those from my doctor and see what's up. The only number that was very high was bilirubin and they told me that means nothing. Weird.

So what was your diagnosis and how long did it take for you to come to the conclusion. There's just too many factors to fatigue and feels like it'll take years to diagnose, especially in Canada where you have to wait months to see one doctor or do one test.

As for indica, how high thc % do you use and do you micro dose it?

Trip, one thing I've noted in recent years is that certain medical groups idea of a 'sleep study' is pretty wildly off the mark compared to the gold standards (Stanford University Sleep Center Clinic). While they may have tried to eliminate Sleep Apnea, there are a host of other sleep disorders that they should also test for (which CPAP or APAP machines are no help) and sadly, they do not. Hell, I didn't even have a real sleep tech on staff, they wired me up and sent the telemetry to a Dr. (offshore?) for evaluation. They should also evaluate you for Restless Leg Syndrome/Periodic Limb Movement Disorder and sleep phase issues, just off the top of my head.

Sweating profusely. hmm... sweating in a room with A/C is not normal (I know, I run 'hot' as well, but my thyroid IS jacked up). I'd make an appt with a real endocrinologist who specializes in thyroid disorders, and see if something hormonal is going. The right labs (not just TSH), read by the right person, go a long way.

Bilirubin (if I recall correctly) is tied to liver function, and it would be prudent to look it up and investigate if necessary.

Fire it again. I can still find the ground.
Peace @VegNVape ,

Heck, works for both kinda'!

Like, I follow the "Quitting Dabs" thread to figure out how much concentrate I want in my regimen without going kaboom! (ie- not because I'm giving up my precious shatter or rosin...!)

:D

Shifting between various high energy strains actually does help me not get immunified to one or another. Also started wax only before bed, gives me five hours of sleep rather than four (chronic pain).

Good things to all!

Hi all, first post!

I don't suffer from fatigue but do need to dose 24/7 due to ptsd. I understand the need for weed where I can get stuff done and I also dislike the classically available stimulants. I have really found it beneficial to use strains containing the cannabinoid THCV , such as blue dream and durban poison. It is very very interesting!

My absolute favorite strain of all time is Kilimanjaro, an african landrace sativa. Hard to find but if it ever comes around your area................get it and then send me some.

I've tried green crack and it didn't help much, it's a great strain though. I'm wondering since my fatigue is not a mental issue if that's the reason it's not doing anything? I believe my fatigue might be related to adrenal glands or the TRT that i've been on for 3 years. Problem is I have to be on TRT for life so there seems to be no solution for my fatigue.

I use Androgel, have been for quite a while (15 years?) since some chemo years ago seemed to blow out my T levels, but haven't noticed a fatigue effect. Quite the opposite, if I stop taking it then I get fatigued and listless.

Sorry, I have no solution for you.

how do you do with hazes? they are reliably energetic for me. FaceWreck is my favourite haze variant so far.

I have seen this at a local dispensary, but did not try it out. hopefully will come back in. I also like that it is supposedly known back in Africa as 'elelphant stomper'

This man is right on. THCV is currently the cannabinoid reputed to have the most stimulant effect. :D

They gave you a apapmachine but did they do a sleep study? That's the only way to tel if you have sleep apnea. I have severe sleep apnea but the cpap machine doesn't do much for my fatigue. There are other reasons to use it because of the consequences of sleep apnea but not necessarily fatigue.

Sadly, many health plans just send you to a 'sleep clinic' where they gather telemetry from you and ship it somewhere else on the planet and all it looks for really is sleep apnea.

A true sleep clinic (like the gold standard, the Stanford University Hospital Sleep Clinic) is certified by http://www.sleepeducation.org/ (also links to here: http://www.aasmnet.org/)

At a full sleep clinic they will evaluate you for sleep movement disorders like Restless Leg Syndrome or Periodic Limb Movement Disorder, which can also interrupt your sleep cycle and give you daytime fatigue. There are other conditions to test for as well.

If you have severe enough apnea/hypopnea events an APAP will SAVE YOUR LIFE.

I don't know what the surgeries are like for this these days, anybody?
I had major (clinical study) reconstructive surgery in 2000, woof... not for the faint-hearted.

Maggie, is your apnea Central Nervous System related?

Just so Dab HAppy!
I had a UPPP because I have Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Tried the CPAP for 6-8 monthes then BiPap for 16 monthes. Never could get either to work consistently as my pressures change too much throughout the night considering how low my oxygen levels get and it never got rid of my headaches. After giving up on the machines I decided the surgery was the way to go. First was a simple deviated septum...then the ever so painful UPPP. I had ringing pain in my ears for 3 weeks. I gained 15 pounds as soon as I could eat again because my throat always bothered me and warm food would help. I never noticed any benefits from the UPPP really even after losing the 15 pounds plus another 20. I am still about 20-25 lbs overweight.

So I settled on the MAD finally. Its a Mandibular Advancement Device. You get it from a dentist but under your medical plan. It helps me the most but still has plenty of downside and is no cure or solution really. I have gag reflex issues from it often and that gets intensified with cotton mouth which I get from frequent snoring but I do manage to wear it almost everynight and both my partner and I have had better sleep without the headaches.

Still, I battle fatique all too often. I believe excess weight, high-stress work environment, and a long commute to work contribute to this greatly but I suffer even at home on days I have slept in or rested well. I dont find all Indicas to be the answer, but I have found strains like Blue Dream and Sour Deisel to be helpful at times. Perhaps I need to pay more attention to THCV.

Funny thing is...for some odd reason I am feeling a little insomnia tonight. I actually have both...insomnia at night and fatique at day...sometimes I wonder if my issue is Excessive Daytime Sleepiness or Shift Work Sleep Disorder or whatever its called?!

I listen to music (all kinds) to help me cope.
At night I like INDICA's (real strong)
Morning is all SATIVA
All day HYBRID (GSC, DUTCH TREAT, WHITE WIDOW, CACTUS COOLER as examples however just the tip of the choices)!

One of the things they will evaluate you for is 'delayed sleep phase syndrome' (among many others).

My reconstructive surgery was pretty intense, they took my tonsils, cracked open my jaw so they could move the bone the tongue attaches to to pull it forward, and a UPPP like procedure as well.

Felt weird as hell as the nerves grew back, but it worked. No CPAP.

Sounds like what they should have done for me. My ENT did all the rest but he didnt go as far as cracking my jaw. I was pretty high risk for the surgery supposedly because I dont breathe out my nose. But I have an overbite...always have and the Mandibular Advancement Device is trying to do what your surgery did, only through gradual movements over a long period of time. It has its limit to how far it can be adjusted as well as the muscles themselves providing a resistant effect that somewhat resets during the day. Plus the bones are only going to allow so much movement overall. I never want to have my mouth operated on again but your making me reconsider.

Did you have fatigue issues prior to your surgery? How about after?

Edit: Been using Trainwreck flowers pressed into Rosin and Cali Haze Live Resin to keep me alert the past week. Both are tested by sclabs in CA and labeled for Medical Use Only. See what I mean @ataxian? Even us East Coasters can be CIVILIZED!

Yeah, I was really burnin' the candle @ both ends in a dot com company... so fatigue, yeah.
More due to working lunatic hours and insane stress. But it was nice to be able to be free of the CPAP.

I just kid.

sclabs is great! (I have a friend that works there)!

Whatever strains work for your illness?

We have a lot of mutts to vet?

I have a pile of INDICAS that make me worthless!
Today I get more GSC and SHATTER (sativa based)

If you only new of the shit I've been through?

I read non-fiction and listen to music to cope. (SURF CONTEST I LOVE to watch on the web)
Next spring I'll be in Washington D.C. visiting the Library of CONGRESS.

If I hurt anyones feelings I'm sorry for my behavior.

Been through so much I guess I'm JADED?
Now I'm CIVILIZED however others are as well!

I have a new mod however all I have is INDICA based SHATTER?

The driver won't be here until 11:00? (AM)

As you can see I'm very UNCIVILIZED sometimes?
Growing outside the yield is 2 to 3 X larger.
Electricity is very high on the WEST COAST so OUTSIDE is better where I live!

Now I'm CIVILIZED sometimes?

@TripMan I find that exercise helps with fatigue?

You have a lot going on inside that head that intrigues me my friend. With you I am never offended personally, only further intrigued to know more of what you already know/experienced.

I work in the city and play in the country...to me this is also CIVILIZED! The long commute is brutal. It's the hardest part of my life currently. I found out about my sleep issue in the first place due to a couple (very minor) accidents that happened from falling asleep at the wheel. Falling asleep at the wheel really scared me, even if one of the two times was at a stop light...perhaps especially since it was at a stop light.

Your point about exercise is a great one. I used to stop at rest areas when traveling across state(s) and run a lap or two around the rest stop. It would reenergize me some. Pulling over and trying to doze off for 5 minutes or so has only made me want to sleep more IME.

Very kind words from @nosmoking !

I fell asleep in a VW BUG on the 605 FWY to 405 FWY. (37 years ago)

Rolled my car however didn't get hurt from it?

6 years now since I retired from the grind of work. (flew a lot)

I've had a good life and lived in many countries.

Time to order some natural medicine CANNABIS = CIVILIZED

I have a JOKE: "Work is overrated"!

I wake up with excessive fatigue
I have Fibromyalgia, have had it for over 3 years now. Just getting my MMJ card hopefully within the next 2 weeks. Part of this is about every 2 months I'll have about a week of just being blown away with fatigue. Can't wait to get my card and start looking at the different strains and really start working getting away from all the drugs their pumping into me. Let me know if you find out anything about what works for you.
