plastic, and yes I have noticed that after a week or so my herb dried out slightly.O2 seeps in glass mason jars too, Which is why alot of folks here plan on purchasing the humidipacks that are sold with the c vaults.Of course I dont keep that much herb on me. no more than a week or2 So I tight vac is a good option for me versus a mason jar/c vault

Its funny because after a few days my bag would get all cloudy and have crystals on it, and I would see it but not think anything of it. Also after a few days it would get a bit crunchy and fragile as well. TBH, I dont know why i havent made the jump before lol. I hope to see a noticeable difference after a week of storage. I will not open the one for next week until next week and I will have one for this week which I go to for a grab and go, and see if there is a difference.

Just remember, if you have one nug but a ton of empty airspace in the jar, they can still get crunchy.
(Although you're still avoiding the direct contact with cheap plastic, so it would still be better)

Might be possible to take one jar and fill up the bottom half with something inert that would cut the volume in half, if needed.

Now that I'm thinking about the process, it seems like a much trickier task than I imagined trying to find something as inert as glass that could tightly seal off half the jar.

One alternative option, if you weren't planning on using all of those jelly jars, is selling a couple to some friends to fund the purchase of a tiny 1-2oz jar for smaller amounts.

I know specialtybottle.com has lots of very small jars for under a dollar each, the only catch is they quote shipping as an extra $6 (to california anyway).

Hey! first post so go easy.... Anyway I'm looking at buying a cvault. I usually grab in half oz's, given that too much air is bad should I look at buying the small or should I go with the medium (I see the dimensions but don't wanna make a mistake as I'm ordering online)?

I'd say the Medium, I have the Medium and it was smaller than I thought so I don't think you will fit all that much in a small.

Maybe someone with the small can chime in on how much they can fit in there...

I know the feeling, I purchased online as well so I have not seen the small in person.

Only a guess it wouldn't hold a half oz but I could very well be wrong. I suppose it depends on how fluffy or dense the herb is as well...

Cool glass container. When I started thinking about glass container designs that's more or less what I had in mind...love the ground glass on glass seal. Very cool! The JyARz design is my "evolution" of the above in that it protects the glass from shocks and is light and air-tight with a screw top that is very reliable and provides a repeatable seal. Would you be interested in doing a blind test? I'll put JyARz up against your containers any day! I would require an independent testing agency but if you say your's are the best jars on the market I think you should be willing to do some objective scientific testing to prove it.

I am just someone that does a lot of research, & miron Glass is the best for preserving whatever goes inside!!!!!
Your Product looks very cool and legit, id say there probably on par since your seem to block out light also!!!!!

Miron glass come's from old egyptian technology, you can keep herbs as fresh as the day you put it in for about 6 months!!!!!
No uv light can penetrate the violet glass, in turn it wont degrade your material!!!!
