Sticky Brick Junior by Sticky Brick Labs

I seem to have a bad case of VAS
My daily driver is the OG. It's got cooler, smoother vapor than the junior in my experience. It's also more comfortable for me to use because I don't feel like I am going cross eyed. The junior is still great, but for my everyday use, I grab the OG. Still very much want to own a maxx as well, and have a feeling that will end up becoming my daily driver.

Finally have a production Jr coming my way after beta testing over the summer (my beta has been relegated to water use with a straight intake, as I posted previously, since it has a larger bowl and is a little tricky for me to aim dry-- production glass and placement allows for greater visibility) and can't wait to try it out! Went with Cedar (one from the original run that @StickyBricks generously set aside for me to buy) since I don't have anything in that wood yet and my beta is spalted maple. Will ofcourse follow up here with photos when it arrives!

More to come, the wood is iridescent almost like a plastic hologram, my shitty photos cannot capture it or gorgeous craftsmanship. I'll post more at some point (after I try it!) comparing to the beta and others probably too...

So my Cedar Jr looks basically as awesome as @Shit Snacks' does. Got knocked on my ass by an awful cough and wound up avoiding all my vapes for like 2 weeks. Felt well enough to hop back on the train a few days ago and have been technique-perfecting the Jr ... man, when it's right, it is RIGHT. Thing hits like a train. And while it's not highly aromatic cedar, it's still that lovely cedar aroma and light flavor. Such an excellent vape!

Damn you @Shit Snacks. I have been loving my beta junior still and your pic makes me want a production model. Well, I guess it was going to happen eventually. SBL does some beautiful wood work.

Hahaha yeeaaaaahh well I don't know or how much this will help, but it is works better than the beta for me after only 3 bowls (first night medium size followed by small, tonight tried a whole nug crumbled after first few hits, always stir every hit with these vapes). Every single improvement is substantial and welcome!

The intake is so much better at allowing me to aim the flame properly without any risk of scorching, I set the flame to mid low and I can stick it right in there without any char at all. The placement overall allows more visibility with smler screws and a bigger mp along with the new intake. The new glass is also tapered so it's quicker to swap the mp from storage to useage and the longer intake is easier to turn too...

Then there's of course the stir stick slot, larger carb hole (will need to try with a cork), and really really really really nice smooth fit and finish! It's actually a bit blockier, excuse me, brickier, with the bottom fully flat and a squarer shape to the top despite the smooth edges of it and the sides... Yeah I do really like this cedar, soft yet hard, rich dynamic colors and grains (though I love the sublte spalted color in my maple beta, gotta do photo comparisons)

Finally the bowl size is back to standard DaisyBrick size, instead of the larger size on the betas, allowing for even further roasting and more versatile bowl sizes, however I do intend to try the new glass on the beta to see if that can improve performance for me there despite the larger bowl and screws. Otherwise it will just have to be a bubbler piece

So add this to your list bud

Man I've been using this junior quite a bit lately. And my old screen was pretty clogged. I was going to pull it out and torch it. But then last second I came to my senses.
I hit the junior empty and was rewarded with some of the very best medicinal hits I've found that's not concentrates. I run it quite a bit hotter but not a combustible type heat though. This works just as good as all of my stem load vaporizers.

FC'ers with a bit older bricks, how is she holding up in terms of smell?
My OG Brick is older and has seen more use than my Junior. It has developed an interesting aroma, it's very reminiscent of peanut butter as weird as that sounds. It's not overly strong, you have to be pretty close to the Brick to smell it.

I am able to get huge clouds to the point I have to check the bowl as I think I have combusted but once opened there isn't even a hot spot.
Sounds like you're doing it right!

Yeah I started doing this in Daisy and am now doing it in Jr every few bowls to keep the screen clean longer. It works better here than any other stem/screen vapes for me bc of the full torch power, you can really go hard and get huge clouds of pure perpetual vapor.

I also may be enjoying my production Jr even more than my Daisy, finding it to be more versatile with less scorch risk for me with this intake and a medium flame, I've done small medium large bowls, medium course grinds and whole nugs crumbling as I go. Always stirring every hit, but the stirrer slot is so convenient, its quick and easy.

I still need to add more photos, but just wanted to say this may truly be one of the best vaporizers available. Period.

I feel dumb, every damn one of the dosing capsules come with a concentrate pad already in each capsule. Meanwhile, I bought an extra set of crafty pads for pretty much no reason. Oh well, it's good to have them.

The capsules fit great though, no kiddins there. I think I'll keep half for wax and half for herbs, pretty sure I wouldn't need anymore than that for short trips but... ya never know ;)

Thanks for the help!

My set didn't come with concentrate pads. I've been trying to figure out what size screen I need to cut.

Hi All,
I'm irrational and have decided I need a new vape. I'm confident that the SBjr is going to save me from the evils of combustion. My local supply guy has walnut and cherry models in stock. Any advice on either woods? Taste preferences?

Wubba Lubba Dub Dub. It means I am in great pain, please help me. Man Rick and Morty hits me where it hurts sometimes haha.

Welcome to FC Wubba,

The Jr is an amazing vape. Really one of the best ones for mimicking the smoking experience IMO, and therefore a great choice for people converting from combustion. That being said there is a learning curve with this one. I would describe it as easy to learn, but difficult to master. There is a chance you may combust a few times before you get your technique totally down.

I have a Walnut and it has a very distinct flavor to it. It wasn't terrible to me, and its faded quite a bit over time. From what I've read, Cherry seems to be one of the most flavor neutral wood choices available

Thanks for info FF, I'm a huge R&M fan as well. Fingers crossed for se3 in the next decade... I'll be ordering myself a Cherry Jr now, with a hope that it'll be in my hands for the weekend.

One other question I'd like to throw out to the community. I've got a little oil rig I'd like to connect up to it if I can. The rig has a 14mm male joint. How could I connect the Jr to my rig? Sorry if this question has already been covered in this thread.

Buy the flame intake offered on the Sticky Brick site and you can drop your 14mm male joint directly into it and then you'll have a banger instead of the flame intake.

Not sure if I'd recommend with the junior though... Vapor path is really short, so unless you used a whip or somehow got it hooked up to a water pipe I don't think it'd be much fun...

Honi soit qui mal y pense
But you dont mean a SBJ-intake? This one doesnt fit to a 14mm male.

Guess a silcone whip and a Whip adapter (14mm male at side of the whip) would work with the original SBJ intake!
