Sticky Brick Junior by Sticky Brick Labs

Shit Snacks

Milaana. Lana. LANA. LANAAAA! (TM2/TP80/BAK/FW9)
Yeah this is all such a tease! The new units look phenomenal @StickyBricks! No surprise there, seems all the minor issues are all squared away with these production models as expected. Hopefully I will be able to test that theory out on a new Cedar Jr myself some day when funds are flowing again...

Congrats too all the new owners, hope you enjoy as I know you will!

I'm two chambers in and I'm loving my spalted maple Junior so far.

It's definitely more sensitive to the flame, which I expected because of the shorter distance between the flame and chamber. It's a little easier to scorch because of this, but I'm sure with a little adjustment of technique I'll have it down. Overall the learning curve is small, especially coming from the brick. Most of the learning curve for me is literal, because the curve on the heat intake is new to me.

The second chamber I had some really good low temp hits to start. I've already had some big hits out of the Junior too. Not quite as big as the Brick, but I've been holding back until I'm more familiar with jr.

The wood taste was there, but it is fading fast. My walnut brick definitely held on to the wood taste longer.

Build quality and craftsmanship are excellent. Everything fits together beautifully and is flush. The glass, while small out of necessity, is thick and sturdy.

Aesthetically it is simply beautiful, pictures never do wood justice in my opinion. In person the grain is stunning. It also feels really good in the hand. The curved edges are nice and smooth, like the texture of the wood itself which has almost a satin-y feel.

The front is gorgeous:

And the sides are simply stunning:

That's my favorite part of my Junior. It's completely smooth to the touch. I like to imagine the "scar" happened 30 years ago when a kid carved his name into a tree.

The Junior performs a lot like the Brick which is remarkable considering it can fit in a pocket. I'm looking forward to spending more time with it and learning all of its intricacies. I'll probably be using my extra intake with my Brick too, I'm curious to see how that would change performance.

If God is the answer, then the question is wrong
Decided to not wait anymore for a cedar and went for a spalted maple (thank for your photo and post @Vapor_Eyes). bought through PIU: due to international shipping cost I prefer to concentrate my buying in one place(even more when it is a great place) sorry @StickyBricks, hard fight between the wish to give all to you and my own convenience..

Anyway, it is already shipped and in transit ;)

Ps at the time I ordered (less than 12hrs ago), price was the same 149usd as SBL and 22,50 for f*cking shipping (thankfully "puffedup" did take care of it).

I couldn't agree more with this post.

I too see a spalted maple in my future, and i will also likely buy from puffitup so i can add in other goodies to offset the postage.

Also, the 15% off makes a huge difference not only because of the postage cost, but also because i have to add 40 cents to each dollar i spend due to the current (shit) exchange rate.

Although sticky bricks give 10% off too, so kudos to them, but yeah bundling in other purchases does save in the long run (asssuming you were actually intending to buy the extra items in the first place...)

Wow.

My cedar SBjr. arrived yesterday. Superspeedy from PIU and Randy threw in a few goodies which is always appreciated. Thanks!!!
Well, this vape is slightly bigger then I expected but once used for a bit, found it very comfortable to hold and play with. Reminds me of an old wooden combustion pipe that swiveled I had back in the day. To the brick!

It's beautiful. And it's crazy...

Been trying to write my thoughts on this and by my third hit, I'm wrecked. Start to type, decide to take another hit, then space out for a good few minutes. This brick hits hard. I blew out a cloud that actually looked like cotton. That thick. What's gonna make this brick rise to the top of my vape arsenal is that it's quick, easy, and one or two hits really gets you there. Been really enjoying the on demand type vapes lately as I don't always have 10-15 minutes to sit and session. Just want to take a few really good ones and go. Don't get me wrong... Love me some long hangout sessions, but don't always have time for them. Another aspect of this vape that shines is the pure fun it is to play with. Wood is beautiful and feels wonderful in hand and the magnets are really snappy! Really well thought out and it's a blast taking it apart and snapping it back up! Fun, quick, simple, elegant, fun!
Digging the torch too! Actually have the same one in a kit for the lotus that I picked up locally a few years ago. @Bravesst you can get these at lotto/smoke shops in the boros for $3-4, well worth it and they last a good while. I've bought about 5 eagle torches and all still work well.

Gonna have a good time with this one.

I'm laughing 'cause I really gotta wrap this up... This review has taken me hours. I started last night!!! I'll report back once I touch ground!

Let the weekend begin!!!!

Oh yeah.... Just a tip or two.

If you take the chain and cap of the lighter it is much more comfortable to hold. Just don't lose the cap!
The intake on mine was pretty tight and I was hesitant to put too much force on it because it was glass. I eventually coaxed it into turning using a silicone potholder to get a good grip on it and was able to take it out. Reseated the o-ring and reinserted the intake and it's much better. Thank you @Slow Draw McGraw for for for the late night assistance and willingness to do whatever was needed, QUICKLY!, to remedy the problem. Really appreciate that and thank you again for a kick ass product! Can see this really taking off!!!!!

Wanted to try it through water so I used @Ratchett 's universal song adapter and it worked perfectly, as is tradition.

The one I use for my lily kind of worked, it's awkward though.

Ah nice, you took the o ring out to fit the adaptor. My Alfa mouthpiece fits nice in the o ring I just put it up sung to my bent neck wax pen bubbler.

I also ended up using my Junior with water. My new recycler can finally get Sticky! :D

It's a one off piece by JoDa and Coojo. It's the second recycler he's created.

The Junior fit the 14mm female joint perfectly without any modifications. It functions just fine too, I can't really think of any ways to improve the setup.

I can almost clear a 2/3 full chamber in one hit. This thing is a beast through water.

@VaPeD&CoNfUsEd & @StickyBricks is a match made in heaven. Now I just need to get @mvapes to join in the fun and the trifecta will be complete!

I jumped right in. Like a guy too proud to read the assembly instructions, I packed a bowl and did my best.

So this is not a review, but a really unrehearsed firs impression.

1. I like it, the look, feel, size, glass, wood, simplicity
2. Bowl is a bit big, not sure if I had to fill, went like 3/4, no real tamp, med grind
3. Got taste and clouds right away. Just opened a very tasty strain, so that is making it a bit hard to tell taste wise, but very good, even for a dry convection snob
4. Session less hits than I expected, this may be horrible tech
5. Smooth, maybe less dry than I'm used to, pretty cool so far
6. Need work on technique before I dare criticize

It is a torch, very different for me. However, already i think it might find a true place in my rotation. Hopefully, my wife, a die hard combuster, will take to it.

OCD has already kicked in. Is there a spare parts kit coming soon? This is a guy that has 3 or 4 of any vape I love.

Further testing tonight!!!!

Happy to have you on board @Bravesst and you can get accessories and replacement parts directly from us at www.stickybricklabs.com. Puffitup will also be carrying all of our accessories in the next few weeks.

I love seeing all the mods people are creating already. @Vapor_Eyes great comparison shot with the Brick and it's nice to see the extra bent stem being used.
