For sure, Cedar Point in Ohio has one called "The Maverick" that has a greater than 90 degree angle, pretty sweet

They used to break all the records at Cedar Point until Dubai built there amusement park

Yeah, when I first saw 120 degrees I thought, 'that's not very steep' , till I saw they meant 30 degrees beyond vertical (90 degrees). Looks like a blast.

I love roller coasters and that one looks fucking brilliant! The smaller single cars must make it possible to incorporate more extreme angles in the track.

This is making me pretty pumped for Cedar Point in late August. I rode Top Thrill Dragster last summer and it was insane, still didn't get to try Maverick though, which like lepstadder said, has similar design elements to this coaster.

Going up that incline must be crazy, the climb is always the most intense part for me. And at times also the most relaxing haha

Another coaster freak here! That picture is crazy, I'd love to ride that one! We rode the Maverick (multiple times!) right after it opened in 08 and it is INSANE. Truly one of the best coasters I've ever ridden, a marvel of engineering and probably my favorite ever metal coaster. Cedar Point ROCKS. Don't miss Millennium force (just because you can see Canada from the top) or the awesome woody that i can't remember the name of right now~ We did top thrill dragster too, but it felt like my contacts were going to be ripped from my eyeballs, not nearly as cool as it sounds - probably won't do that one again.

Checkout Kingda Kai in Six Flags - Great Adventure. Most intense ride I've ever been on. 0-100 in two seconds! Fuck yes.

looks like top thrill dragster, top thrill goes 0-120 in less than 4 seconds

goes up to 420 feet, yes 420!!

went to cedar point once on psychedelics, wow

Yea herbgirl, the wooden ones are even more hardcore than the metal ones, they beat you up pretty good
one is even called "the mean streak" lol

They shut down "top thrill" even at the slightest rain because a raindrop hitting your bare eyeball at 120mph would be painful, happened to me on millennium once and that top speed is only 93mph

Man I wana ride a roller coaster

If anyone ever hoes to cedar point there is a ride called "Iron Dragon" its an older coaster more for kids, no loops or anything crazy, but its a perfect place to vape or even burn a J, just make sure you get the last car and puff away. never try it on the gondolas

Ceder point is really something impressive. as always the millenium force is always nice to look at.. but the top thrill dragster was impressively fast. :o :D

Oh yes, gotta love how Top Thrill Dragster goes up to 420 ft.

I should be hitting Cedar Point by the end of this month, I'll definitely be pushing the limits of the LB.

I have been on the Kingda Ka, and it was awesome! the line was long, and when i was standing in the gate with the person that was gonna sit next to me, they said there would be a delay. The seat that one of the two of us would sit in had come loose. So they fixed the seat, taking about 30 mins to an hour (it was a few years back, cant remember) and sent the coaster on several dry runs, checking the bolts, etc each time through. They said it was good, but offered for me to wait one time, and get in a different row. I figured, its called a thrill ride for a reason, and said naw I'll take it! Definately a fun coaster! It's amazing how quick it takes off! Your are held into the seat completely from the moment it takes off, and then you coast 456 feet straight up!

Wikipedia - Kingda Ka said:
Kingda Ka is a roller coaster located at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey, USA. It is the world's tallest roller coaster, and was the world's fastest until Formula Rossa opened in November 2010. The train is launched by a hydraulic launch mechanism to 128 miles per hour (206 km/h) in 3.5 seconds.[1] At the end of the launch track, the train climbs the main top hat tower, reaching a height of 456 feet (139 m). Kingda Ka is 3,118 feet (950 m) long.[2]

Here is a great video clip from the travel channel about hte Kinda Ka, has first person views of the ride, and some cool statistics/info.

Oh man I want to be all over that coaster! Since moving out to California, I've been trying to make it to Six Flags on the regular, but this one here looks bomb! I'd think that $12.50 is pretty well spent.

I love steel coasters but wood rocks too. One of my old favorite steel coasters was Montu at Busch Gardens Tampa since it did an Immelmann loop. My body felt like Jello when I got off that thing. For wood coasters definitely Colossus (Six Flags Magic Mountain). I mean you really question if you are going to make it off that thing alive (ride has claimed 1 life apparently). The rattles, bumps, squeaks . . . wood is crazy. I love watching the maintenance guys walking the track with hammers pounding nails back in and tightening things up. And you can ride Colossus BACKWARDS. I did it once, incredible. This is a good vid, it really shows the deterioration of the ride, one of the guys gets a paint chip in his mouth!

Six Flags here is great. I won't ruin it for you but Tatsu is one of my favorite rides there and had a fantastic surprise during the ride I never would have expected. Go check it out. Goliath was also one of my favorite rides, but they slowed it down or something because people were blacking out in the corkscrew (I heard). Now it's fairly uneventful by comparison.

I used to be a roller coaster enthusiast as well, until I was ruined for all motion rides when we went to Epcot. That damned Mission : Space (Orange Team) ruined me for all motion based rides. :(

Ahhhh, the joys of getting older

Well said DrPiff, no joke indeed. This flying coaster "Tatsu" intrigues me. The tag-line "Fly at the Speed of Fear" is well deserved I think. I'm not sure if I have the guts to ride it, although, I am giving it serious thought. I think if I survived Montu I could do this . . . maybe. The coasters are getting friggin' insane and I'm not getting any younger or stronger, but I love it!
