SSV - Hands Free Attachment or GonG Heater Cover?

Greetings everyone,

I bought a silver surfer this past weekend and I want to customize it to make it hands free. Does anyone have any preference to which works better, the hands free attachment or the ground glass wand/heater cover combo? Thanks

With my SSV I've always just used the handsfree attachment. It's good to always have the option of taking it off. When I got the ice chamber I ended up never taking it off though.

The GG heater cover and wand makes for a good fit and it's more convenient/easier, but it'll also be fairly easy to jerk it loose if you're not careful. There's also speculation that long term, the GG connection will wear a little and make for a less secure hold. The hands free attachment gives you the easy option, but is more of a hassle to use and may not give you quite as snug a connection. Personally, I'd go with the attachment. If you don't like it, 7th Floor may just take it back and apply the $14 toward a GG setup (can't hurt to ask anyway).
