I like the ORB, purchased two of them, and found the dual coils (wickless) overly efficient at consuming precious meds. It's a cool portable, bulletproof, no glass to break, and the housing might save you if yer trapped in a burning glass building, you could smash your way to safety. Beyond that, I've found an alternative for the coils, and they thread into the ORB, and a lot of other 510 thread based products...the YoCAN Nero Technology COIL LESS wickless units are brilliant - they instantly heat up, zero delay, and they are far more advanced, in design, and in execution - already have updated the design in the last few months, as the micro thin heating element, a foil like metallic that is fragile - the updated versions have either a ceramic or mica "screen" just above the heating element, to decrease the chance of damage from loading, scraping, etc. I got two, and managed to push a fresh ball of soft, crumbly golden wax through the thin element, basically destroying the lovely thing....the reps at YoCan were quick to replace my self destructed coil with new updated mica and ceramic versions, at no cost, and within 3 days I was up and puffing. I won't hesitate to buy more, and look forward to their products being released.
adding some of my images, of the ORB and it's dual ceramic coil, as well as teardown shots, and the new Nero tech YoCan units, and teardowns of the one I managed to damage. The choices are vast in this booming vape industry, so do yer homework before spending any cash!~
My "ORB Nero" - using a eGo 510 Mini 350 mAh battery, as the YoCan Nero Technology simply does not need much in the way of battery, so it's perfect for the portable bulletproof stealth sessions.
The ORB's Dual coil ceramic, tear down - large bowl, well constructed, but uses a lot of precious meds, and takes a punch of current to get it going, best have a fully charged battery, and a heaping supply of concentrates, you'll need them.
The second of two Nero Technology units from YoCan - you can see the foil-like element, I managed to push a soft ball of concentrate through the element, as it's very thin, thus fragile - HOWEVER, these are brilliant, they heat INSTANTLY, and burn efficiently, needs very little voltage and that requires a lot less battery - I like the threaded cap, as it keeps things tidy, nothing creeps out while cooling down, and if used with a glass bulb type atty, it stays clean...win win win, all around!~
the new designs has a ceramic OR mica "screen" that sits just above the thin metal heating element - keeps twits like me from doing damage like this. YoCan had me covered, shipped out 2 of the new designs and had them in my hand in 3 days!~
the Ceramic, on the right, and the Mica, left, are the hot tip, and won't fail under normal use. Shown above the new units is a slap dash LED light I managed to create using the damaged unit - waste not, want not!
Hopoe this helps, it's my first submission, enjoy!
