So I've got this jar of 91% isopropyl...

Its used for cleaning vapor resin off downstems, fittings, other stems.

The jar is big enough to drop my MF mini grinder in there. When it gets gunked up with so much kief, I just drop it in there, let it loosen up, then I can pretty much agitate it and it comes out sparkling clean, no residue (its in the jar).

After doing this for some time, I noticed this rather thick layer along the bottom of the jar. Well, duh! Right? So I took a shallow dish, lined it with tin foil and poured the whole mixture into the dish. Its evaporated quite a bit so far (its 91%, again... duh!)... and I'm getting this yellowish thick liquid, that looks to be drying, into clumpier and smallier chunks of dark yellow gunk, at this point. I'm assuming a good portion of this is trichomes from the kief?

Can I scrape this up with a knife or razor, drop it into my Eclipse H2O, light up my torch and vape away?

I searched and I've seen some processes of using flower trimmings, isopropyl, foil and i believe it involved boiling and baking. Not sure.

But, am I safe in assuming, once that alcohol is completely evaporated, I'm going to have some pretty potent (all top shelf medicinal stuff) hashish type gunk, I can stick in an oil vape?

You are correct! That should be some good stuff too

If you let it sit in a shallow pan, by the window or outside (cover it with a cloth to make sure no dust/cathair/smurfs get into it), it should evap completely. If you get some white spots at the end, that is water that hasn't evaporated. You can dab out that water with a paper towel, or let most of it drip out, and evap a bit more at that point

Did you filter it from the jar ? I would use two coffee filters over the jar and let it drain into a 'pyrex' dish to evaporate.

It wld be a much 'cleaner' oil in the end, and is what I do myself.

Or you can do the opposite (so it's less oily, and easier to handle), add some kief or super finely ground up stuff.

Oops... sorry. Forgot to follow-up. It was on foil, then it wasn't. Now the last of it, is in a vial for my Eclipse. The 1st half, was vaped already. Actually, had somewhat of a sweet flavor and did a pretty righteous job of medicating.

I will definitely be doing similar in the future.

Yes, but make sure all the iso is evaporated, inhaling iso is not good for you .

How do you store it? I've found that my pyrex dishes are not perfectly flat/smooth, so now I use a ceramic dish (plate) as it fits my double boiler pot easily and the oil is easier to see against white.

I bought some wax paper but I'm afraid to use it.

I think the best method is to filter and then evap on pyrex a hot water bath speeds things to too btw!
