Single cell IH

Anyone see any kit for diy ing a low voltage heater?
Would love to put a single 18650 heater together.

I think this would run off a single 18650, but the module itself is a bit big(has a fan) kinda pricey compared to the 5-12v ones.

You wanting to make a small portable IH?

Would be cool to have it really compact.

I wonder if it really needs that fan, maybe it would get by with just a heatsink

I am not an engineer but I always dreamed of a small induction shaped heater like the firefly 2, it would be perfect.

Yea the 5 to 12V is very common but i want as small as possible so one cell is the preference.

What's the heat up time for a DV with 2 x 18650s? I wonder how long it would take with a single 18650. Any photos of your IH @LesPlenty?

My son made me an IH using the @LesPlenty method. Love it. It's in a cute stash box, and it's easy to use.

Started like this...US$12,

Added a voltmeter and tidied a bit, still less than US$15, even works for a homemade rosin vape using a CF/x concentrate pod,

This IH board will not run on one 18650, a fully charged 18650 is about 4.2v max. My VC takes 30 seconds to heat up once the voltage drops to 6v, this means it is time for a battery swap.

As far as i understand, you need at least two cells to provide enough voltage for a IH. You could use two 18350 cells which you roughly be the same size as an 18650. Obviously battery life would be a lot less.

I got 89 click cycles on my IH with 2x LG HG2 batteries so 2x 18350 would last most people a day for out and about use(40 puffs or 10 bowls worth approx)?

I believe the Mistvape BEAST will suit your needs well.

I have run my BEAST on a Sinous P80 for a very small vape package.
